We're in this together

Of the over 2 million eligible voters in the state of Iowa, a bit over 200,000 participated in the Democratic caucus. Ten percent as I see it.

How important is the Iowa caucus? I mean, how important is it to you? Does the outcome affect who you are supporting, how you do your research, or whose opinion you value? I certainly hope not.

This nomination process is long one and an arduous. We need to stick together. We need to ultimately support the Democratic nominee. We need to refrain from sniping and name calling (Clinton rats?).

And keep this in mind. Obama, Edwards, Clinton, and Richardson. Great line up or what?!?

Original article: And then there were two

"It wasn't the most exciting event imaginable" .....???????

Why? Because there was no fighting? Because they stuck to the issues, and portrayed a unified front?

The Republican debate with McCain and Romney about ready to slug one another ... now that was exciting?

This was by far the MOST EXCITING debate I have EVER witnessed in my life.

Two articulate, intelligent, intellectually curious Americans, who by sticking to the issues and offering viable solutions and thereby representing all Americans, was uplifting and, very exciting.

Oh yes, and one of them happened to be a woman and one African American. So damn exciting I can bust!!!

And by the way .. who gives a crap what they were wearing? Stick to the issues.

It's about the Vet

I have used my current vet for 13 years. I pay any high bills over time and he doesn't charge interest. He is always honest and forthright about the options. Euthanasia is always on the table. He leaves that up to me of course, and won't suggest it unless I specifically ask, "What would you do?"

I would go to any lengths to save a pet, as long as after the treatment their quality of life was the same as before.

Chemo for my pet? No way.

Dialysis? Nope.

Original article: The Shuster fallout

Damned if you do ...

Hillary Clinton's only daughter. An extremely intelligent, by all accounts well rounded, stable human being is called a whore by a sleazy pundit.

And Hillary is pissed.

And Hillary is not prone to simple forgiveness.

And people have the audacity to accuse this mother of using this for political reasons.

I'm with Hill 100% here. Fuck Shuster. The jackass shouldn't be in journalism.

I'm so gullible

First off, I agree this was a waste of time and dough. Hugely so.

That said ..

This McNamee dude is one of the sleaziest characters I've ever seen. He lies to suit his cause. There is not a single person aside from this sleazebag who can say they saw Clemens get shot up.

The medical evidence regarding his butt, was refuted by other medical evidence.

So here's what we have ..

Clemens, who has proven in the clubhouse and off the field that he a man of honor, integrity and generosity, and his trainer, a known liar and proven drug pusher.

Also, it was obvious from the hearing that Clemens has not spent the past 20 years of his life studying physics or pondering the mysteries of the universe. Don't hold this against him.

Sorry all you Clemens haters, gotta go with Roger on this one.

He absolutely deserves the benefit of the doubt.

So obvious

Disclosure: I am a Clinton supporter.

Barack Obama will make a GREAT president if elected. I look so forward to years of intelligent, insightful leadership.

However. Anyone who actually listened to this debate and thinks that Hillary Clinton doesn't simply know more than Barack Obama really wasn't listening. The woman is not only brilliant, but has SO done her homework.

She will make a GREAT president.

Sad

I was in Vegas about 5 years ago with a couple of buddies. We grew on Carlin and loved him.

Seeing he was in town we didn't hesitate to get tickets for his show.

We went in ready to laugh and to love this icon.

Five minutes into the act we were looking at each other realizing something was terribly wrong.

The 'icon' had become a character of himself ..

"Hey dumbass earpieced, hat backward audience, remember when I used to be funny?"

Very, very sad.

Not worried ...

After hearing Barack's response to McCain's attack on his debate comment regarding fighting Al Qaeda in Iraq, I'm not worried that he can handle the attack machine.

Yes.

Just got back from Florida watching some Astros workouts and spring games.

My son plays on the 'back' fields, trying to make it. That's where I spent my time, watching A, AA guys bustin' it.

I can tell you for certain, without hesitation that if my son got injured because another ballplayer was playing hard, he would have nothing but respect for the other guy.

The Timelessness of Vonnegut

I read Player Piano when I was 19 years old and it inspired me to rebel against the establishment.

I read it again when I was 49 and had a hard time relating to all the main character gave up in order live his dream.

Thus is the genius of Kurt Vonnegut. He was timeless. He wrote simultaneously to the 19 and 49 year old. The same person. And I didn't even know it. Until I was ready to.

Original article: Thank you, Rush Limbaugh!

The Left's Limbaugh

With such a wide audience it's a pity that Rhodes has become the left's Limbaugh.

She has some good and accurate points, but it has become impossible to listen to her. She is so caught up in her own ego it has made her lose touch with reality.

When she said that Hillary was the same as W and McCain is when she lost me.

Not following?

How could a voter not follow it? Like Reverend-gate a couple of weeks ago it was covered 24/7.

Our only hope is that voters finally, FINALLY are beginning to see through the media obsession with fluff. Maybe, although I wouldn't hold my breath, the media may even start covering 'real' news ...

Presidents okays meetings on torture.

VP leads torture meetings.

McCain breaks campaign finance laws.

and so it goes....
