Wow

Glenn,

This is one of the most interesting blogs I have ever read. The research you have done, the links you provide and the updates not only make this a compelling story, but prove once again why the internet gives voters the greatest wealth of up to date information in the history of the world.

On a related note. The link between this administration and the right wing media is continuous and well documented. This adds to the belief that it is also un American, and possibly treasonous.

Keep up the great work.

Holy Crap Welcomerain, are you kidding???

Do my tax dollars pay for private industry providing health insurance? Since the hell when is government 'like' private industry?

If you've got problems with Conason then you need to find a more intelligent rebuke.

Related point: When it was pointed out to Guiliani's campaign the inaccuracy of his stat, along with how old it was, they were asked if they would continue to run the ad. The response? "Yes we will."

Why I don't want A-Rod on my team

I love watching A Rod. In person he is the perfect baseball machine.

I love watching him play on another team.

Teams that win are teams that have chemistry. Until A Rod finds a team where he is part of it, and not above it will he become a winner.

The way he could start is by going somewhere that he wants to go to. Somewhere, where he loves the city, the ballpark, the team. Then he needs to fire Boras' ass and play for a reasonable amount of money. An amount that will allow the TEAM to afford other players.

This is a pipe dream. A Rod has never been, and will never be a team player. That doesn't make him any less the most blessed player, skill wise of this generation, and maybe ever, but it does make him a playre I don't want on my TEAM.

What a shame

All that knowledge and experience and refuses to tap into it. Another sad chapter in the Bush presidency.

I love Unger's writing, however ...

Self flagellation and mental masturbation is what it all amounts to at this point.

Holy Shit! Why'd Powell allow himself to be duped, and played by someone with half his intelligence? Why'd H.W. not speak up, force himself into the inner circle, grab that little shit and drag him behind the woodshed?

How could these people, these long standing public servants allow themselves to be used, knowing full well that their complicity would lead to deaths of American soldiers and innocent civians?

It's too damn maddening, and with each new book from Fiasco, to Cobra II, to It Could Happen Here to The Assault on Reason, and now this, a new layer of the onion is revealed. And with each new layer, more of the rotten core is revealed.

It's going to take a long, long time to undo this mess.

Here's the answer Joan.

On Talking Points, the following link will explain why the Senators running for president did not get back to vote.

It sound to me like our fearless leadership rushed the vote.

See for yourself.

Likewise same

I had the exact same reaction to this one. Love Apple, want an iPhone. Ludicrous commercial. A real insult to the intelligence.

Not too bright

Look, if you're head grows to the size of watermelon and you put on 50 pounds of muscle, then a GRAND JURY asks you if your late life growth spurt is natural, don't insult their intelligence by claiming ignorance.

Good riddance, hopefully, to this scourge of the game. Ah, what could've been one of the greatest careers ever.

She looks great!

Personally I love the picuture of Hillary. Makes her look more 'presidential' if there is such a thing. More human, to be exact. Hope this bites those idiots in the ass. Making a deal about her aging look. How amazingly shallow. Limbaugh. The voice of the Republican party. I'd be ashamed.

So many of you, although lucid, don't get it

First of all, if Barack gets the nod, Conason is 100% in his camp. Make that 110%.

It's obvious he's a Hillary fan, and for whatever reasons you are supposing he is bashing Obama, the one fact that stands out clear and strong is that she is a know entity and Obama is not. We know how she acts under pressure, we know how she handles adversity, we know about her Senate record.

Now I didn't say any of those things we know about her are positive, all I'm saying is that they are known.

And like Joe, Obama worries me because there is just so very little we do know about him.

And like Joe, when Bill 'Pop Sociology' Kristol supports someone, anyone, it's cause for concern.

And like Joe I support Hillary, because I want the Clintons back in the whitehouse.

And like Joe, I will be 100% in the camp of any Dem who gets the nod.

I'm not surprised

No not surprised at all after last week's reaction to Conason's reporting, 7 out of the first 8 letters are pissed off at him for revealing Sen. Obama's shortcomings.

The fact that Obama did not capitalize on a golden opportunity to school himself in foreign affairs is very important information that I need to know.

Fact is folks, the guy is caught up in the rock star reverie. The guy ain't ready to hold the office of presidency. Now don't go comparing him to the current occupant, not fair. Just compare him to the other contenders.

His experience pales in comparison to all of them. All of them. Let's get the guy's ears wet first. Let him work his way up. He is absolutely not ready to be president.

To Mr. Moran ...

I stand corrected.
