This vote by Obama was NOT "only" about immunizing criminal telecoms for their blatant and knowing violation of federal law. It also gives the President the power (a power that Obama is just drooling for, hence, his vote) to spy with wild abandon, in secret and with no judicial or congressional review, on all Americans who happen to call (or email) beyond our physical shores. Furthermore, it leaves it entirely up to the Executive Branch to police itself with regards to preventing reverse targeting and related crap.

The immunization of the telecoms itself is more than just immunizing the telecoms from having to pay for their blatant, and knowing, illegal conduct, it also assures that We the People will NEVER know what was done to whom and for what end (we can guess: an equal part of the reason for the blanket illegal spying on Americans was for political and economic reasons).

This isn't a "small" issue. This is the core of what this country was founded upon, and upon which it used to stand. Now it doesn't even pretend (and cannot do so) to stand for liberty, justice, blah blah. It is all lies and Obama is a core part of the lie.

Don't give me that crap about "it was just immunity for telecoms". It was MUCH more than that.

Then, of course, is Obama's "new found love" of NAFTA (without labor or environmental protections!), his growing love of the Iraq Occupation, and his first steps towards relegating women back to second-class citizen status who need men to help them make personal decisions for them about sex and babies. They are just too emotional and ditzy to make proper decisions in this regard.

Going to sit this election out after this

I know that is very tempting but don't do this. Your vote can actually do some good if you vote for 3rd parties. They get enough votes and they gain more federal support and easier access to ballots, etc.

As for President, you can either vote 3rd party there (Cynthia McKinney, Nader, Barr) or you can simply abstain from that vote. Down-ticket, you could do as I intend: vote AGAINST Democrats. I will cast votes, top to bottom, for Greens and Libertarians, as they appear. In cases where there is no such choice, I will siply not vote in that particular contest.

Furthermore, the money I USED to send to the Democraps and various Democrapic candidates now goes to the EFF and the ACLU and to the forthcoming moneybomb against the criminal Democraps that voted for this gutting of the 1st and 4th Amendments.

Cast your votes for 3rd parties on the ballot, cast your vote for superior causes with your money...and convince anyone considering voting Obama and Democrap NOT to do so.

Give it up. You cannot provoke me with your non-answers to the stone-cold facts: Obama, a so-called expert on the Constitution, voted 180 degrees in opposition to the clear words of that document. Obama now loves him some NAFTA (and more please!) Obama loves him some restrictions on women's rights. Obama loves him some Iraq war (no doubt, his words on Iran are as full of shit as he is and he will do the same old belligerant "US is an empire and will act like it" spiel if elected Dictator). Obama loves him some Churchy State rather than separation betwixt the two. Obama is a blatant liar...but you don't care, you just like the way he schmoozes and talks down to the black community.

Better to have a Liar in Chief as Obama than a Liar in Chief as McSame...for some magical/mystical reason. A liar is a liar is a liar. A corporatist is a corporatist is a corporatist. There are no differences and no value to one over the other. Except to you. You just like the way Obama lies and flip-flops or self-serves even though you are also a victim of his lies, flip-flops, and self-serving.

I can't tell from the zfone website if it will work with Vonage

It wont. Vonage uses hardware phones with their software in it. You cannot add to, or modify their software. THEY could update their software rather easily if enough people encourage it.

Zfone works with software VOIP phones used on computers (and some cellphones. It encrypts automatically if the recipient uses a zfone-enabled program or cell. Calls to phones or computers not using zfone-enabled apps are unencrypted.

  • McKinney and conspiracy?

[Read the article: McKinney to join Barr on ballot?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Which conspiracy? The conspiracy by the GOP and the Democraps to get us into Iraq to take their oil and create Milton Friedman-esque profits for corporations? The conspiracy to gut the Constitution, also being conducted by the GOP and the Democraps? Or perhaps the REAL 9/11 conspiracy: hiding the fact that Bush had PLENTY of warning but did nothing because it could be used as a tool to pull some Milton Friedman "Shock Therapy" on the US and in the ME?

You allow the fringe conspiracies cloud your judgement such that you actually do not believe there are ANY conspiracies. There are. Some of them occur organically when groups of like-minded people all have the same criminal goals (the GOP and the Democraps), carry out policies or turn a blind eye to such policies and actions that move towards those goals, and then use their official government positions to cover up for the criminal activity.
