@Silenced
[Read the article: The forgotten kid of Guantánamo]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]You are a fool if you honestly believe your own words, "I can't think of any drug that would make me kill someone". First, the drug is likely to have been the most abundant drug in Afghanistan: opium. Second, you cannot state what you would do under the influence of drugs, particularly strong psychoactive drugs. Your statement is easily one of the most foolish I have ever read.
Treaties are treaties (and they are the Law of the Land as per the US Constitution). It matters not at all what Jawad's actual status was in Afghanistan. Our treaty obligations are iron-clad, law of the land strong: he was underage and must be treated with the care of any and all adolescents and children are to be given. No exceptions. It really is that simple. It is a war crime and a crime against humanity and every US servicemember, from General down to private, as well as all the civilian "leadership" needs to be tried for war crimes and crimes against humanity for driving countless people, children and adult, mad from the illegal and immoral mistreatment and abuse they ARE being exposed to.
Thanks to Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld/Rice and all the top generals of the US military, US soldiers can now be treated with any form of abuse a capturing agent can inflict. What is good for the goose IS good for the gander. The US can NEVER AGAIN complain about abuse or torture of US prisoners because we are doing it ourselves. There is no exceptionalism. A crime is a crime is a crime even if we are doing it. If others use our methods as their example, there can be NO complaints. It really is that simple.

So make them fear political harm
[Read the article: NYT circulates fear-mongering claims on FISA debate]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]If they pass an unconstitutional abortion of a bill that gives telecoms immunity (and by extension, full unconstitutional domestic spying powers to all future Furhers, err, Presidents) then they must eat shit in the November elections.
I, for one, will NOT vote for ANY democrap if they pass telecom immunity and all the acoutrements. They do not deserve a majority, nor the Presidency, if they will simply act, again, like Rethuglicans. There are some things that are absolute deal-breakers for me when it comes to my votes and my money. Blithely throwing away basic rights for ANY reason whatsoever is one of those absolute deal-breakers. I will vote Rethug and McSame in the Fall if telecom immunity passes. Period. End of story.
If they are going to act like Rethuglicans, then by shit, I will vote for REAL (criminal) Rethuglicans rather than cowardly, craven, slimy Rethuglican-lites.

Easy suggestion
[Read the article: NYT circulates fear-mongering claims on FISA debate]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Thank you so much for your contributions to the fact and truth. I have a problem with Blue Dogs who won't stand up. Indeed, they have a problem with their constituents. Any suggestions?
There is an easy thing to do concerning Blue Dogs: DON'T VOTE FOR THEM. Simple.
Vote 3rd party, abstain from voting, or vote for their rethuglican opponent. ANYTHING is better than voting FOR them because, you can count on this, if they win they WILL see this as support for their craven and disgusting positions.
You must not reward their bad behavior as representatives AND as human beings by voting to keep them in office.

I am getting so damn tired of this crap
[Read the article: The company we keep]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]They just keep trying and trying to gut the law and the Constitution, refusing to accept that the People say NO NO NO NO!
There is only one way to stop this: Hoyer, Pelosi, Rockefeller, and the rest of the criminals in Congress need to be removed. They must not be rewarded with phonecalls, emails, faxes and letters that EVER tell them they are doing a good job, because they NEVER do. They must be berated, attacked, and always put on the defensive for their every breath.
The only way to end this nonsense is to end their political careers.

At this point
[Read the article: The company we keep]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I would be happier to see MoveOn and other groups drop plans to help Obama get elected and simply focus on attacking Pelosi, Hoyer, Rockefeller, Landrieu, Bayh, and all the rest of the criminal anti-Constitution cabal in the Dem party. They should have to spend all their time trying to answer legitimate charges that they are violating their oaths of office and, thus, are unfit for office.

I've donated to Phase I
[Read the article: Campaign against warrantless eavesdropping and telecom amnesty is expanding]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]and I will donate to the moneybomb in Phase II. I could really use the money for other things (like food, fuel) but this is even more important. I want these sons of bitches to bleed for their perfidy. I want political heads to roll come November. I'd rather see the Dems lose control of either or both houses of Congress than let them get by with cutting the thinist sliver from the Bill of Rights.
Enough! No more! Rollback!

@Barak Obama just lost my vote
[Read the article: George Bush's latest powers, courtesy of the Democratic Congress]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Here here. I informed the Obama campaign yesterday that if this bill passes and Obama has not done EVERYTHING in his power, as the de facto leader of the Dems, then he's lost my vote and my money.
I will NOT vote for ANY Democrats in the Fall, in fact, will actively vote AGAINST any and all Democrats, if this bill passes.
I am more pissed now than I ever was during the previous 8 disastrous years of the Bush Disaster.
It truly looks like the government completely broken and CANNOT be fixed without a REAL revolution (again).
