I have to say
[Read the article: King Kaufman's Sports Daily]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]King, you couldn't have put it better. I think you'd have to be insane as a prospective college athlete to put yourself in the hands of this sociopath.
You didn't even get into that interview he did with Connie Chung...what a repulsive human being Bob Knight is.

I guess from looking at these letters
[Read the article: King Kaufman's Sports Daily]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]It's obvious, for some, why a dominatrix might be attractive.

[Read the article: CNN: Obama sweeps Democratic contests]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Do you even know you're a racist? I'm curious.
Obama's getting a lot of black votes BECAUSE he's black, and that's the only reason? And Hillay (or McCain, or Huckabee, for that matter) are getting white votes for different reasons, in your universe? White voters can make nuanced decisions, look at what people are saying and doing, and all those black voters can do is see a black guy and figure "Damn, I's got's to vote for that ni@@a?"
You truly suck. Do you even know how badly you suck?

This is all a distraction
[Read the article: King Kaufman's Sports Daily]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]From sooo many problems in America right now. That said, it's pretty hard to believe much of what Roger said, from the reports I read.

Shouldn't be surprised
[Read the article: Getting through these dark times]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]interesting article, and shows an interesting perspective. So, naturally, the first thing that happens is the same old, comments that have been running through these sections for the last few months. Everything devolves into partisan politics, tons of Anonymous posters making completely false or irrelevant comments...same old, same old.
It's obvious that America needs some new ideas on its foreign policy. If Power can help provide it, good.
And how anybody can doubt that what's happening in the Sudan or in Iraq for that matter, is genocide is beyond me.
-
You know what's amazing?
[Read the article: A supersize controversy]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]W.E.S arguing that all these Republicans are voting for Obama because they don't want to run against Hillary...who cares who they vote for in the primaries? If they're not going to vote for Hillary in the general anyway, then all those votes can't be counted on. If some of them are willing to vote for Obama in the general, then that's a net win for the Democrats, right?
I mean, I'm not actually personally affected by any of this. But if you're going to make an argument, come with something that makes a little more sense, rather than just insulting people.

I don't think that's true
[Read the article: Rock vs. jazz]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I've never thought that listening to jazz was so me kind of intelligence test. Like any other form of music, more so than some others if only because of the range of styles, you can just listen and get it. Doubt me? Go play some for a three-year old; I guarantee they'll find something interesting about it. I grew up listening to Thelonius Monk (thanks Dad), I know for a fact that's true.
And why does everybody always forget Quincy Jones in 1990? Fusion between R&B and jazz on Back on The Block, but the jazz was definitely there...

Jim White re:Target Jello
[Read the article: The courts and Congress affirmatively conceal and protect lawbreaking]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Just as a matter of style, if nothing else, I agree with you. Everybody involved in this should have their lives made a living hell.
I sincerely doubt there are enough Americans who care to make it happen though. I've never really gotten over the fact that people weren't marching in the streets over the 2000 election. They did in the Ukraine.

About 2000
[Read the article: The courts and Congress affirmatively conceal and protect lawbreaking]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Jim, Bryan: I can't disagree with you, in that I thought Bush was an idiot long before that election. I never understood how he beat McCain in the primary. Still, I thought the whole situation was beyond anything I'd imagined happening in the States up to that point, and I was amazed more people weren't outraged. I've thought there shouldn't be American elections without UN supervision ever since. 2004 proved me right.
Jim, it sounds like you've got some good ideas there. Keep posting. This situation is getting more depressing the more I read about it, although I appreciate Glenn keeping us all informed.

Wow
[Read the article: GOP politics in a nutshell]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Gotta reach for the Pepto after that. They even stole the font, if I was the producers of 24, I'd sue. What a weak commercial.
I think it says everything you need to know about what the GOP leadership thinks of Americans though.

It's not that difficult
[Read the article: Obama shows that dismissing slimy right-wing attacks is not difficult]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I think the point you make is completely correct Glenn. It's not, and it's never been difficult. When people are raising ridiculous points, simply call them on their BS. It has a tendency to make this stuff stop real early.
Or, to continue the boxing metaphor, when someone tries to bloody your nose, bloody theirs. Sure seems like Obama gets it.
Oh, and I can't see any rational reason for the Clinton campaign not to deny sending that e-mail to Drudge if they didn't. I would have thought it's the first thing they would have done. I'm guessing they actually did send it. If they did, that's a perfect example of the kind of politics America should be moving away from...I'd be a bit disappointed if they did send it. I don't think I'd be surprised though.

Begin an integrated league
[Read the article: Obama shows that dismissing slimy right-wing attacks is not difficult]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Ok, that's way off-topic, but what are you talking about? An integrated league started by whom? With which white players, with who's money? You do know Jackie was a ball-player, not an owner, right? How's he going to start a league?
I like how you're speaking for Michelle Obama, by the way. You might be right, perhaps she is backtracking on what she said...or she might be saying now exactly what she meant. I don't know, and I'm pretty sure you don't.
I'm pretty sure this campaign is a good thing as far as a conversation about race in the US is concerned, whatever happens. At least there will be one.

good
[Read the article: Anonymous no more]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Just changing that one thing will make the arguments around here easier to follow.
-
Amazing
[Read the article: Hillary Clinton makes her stand in Ohio]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]People are seriously considering voting for McCain instead of either Democratic candidate? No wonder America is so screwed up. I'm lost for words, and a little depressed.
You should be able to run a dog against McCain and win. A dog would do less damage.
