To paraphrase Ohiop

Of COURSE it's about racism. What else were they gonna come back with? Their tame black guy bucked against his masters, and now they're gonna have a conniption fit - that's pretty much the way they're looking at this. You think Colin didn't know this was gonna happen?

The second Powell ever became less than useful, the comments were gonna start. What else would you expect of a party that's been pandering to racists for decades?

Sunday, October 19, 2008 01:35 PM

Oh yeah, one last thing

That pucklady woman...I don't even want to start the stream of expletives that comment made me shout. She doesn't get to talk about Dr. King, period. That may have been, in it's way, the most reprehensible comment I've seen today. Of course, now that I've said that, someone's gonna try to top it...

It's not a bad day here. I think I'll catch some fresh air.

Sunday, October 19, 2008 01:44 PM

Of course, this is strictly racial

As is every endorsement McCain has picked up from white people, right?

Go home, you racist troll.

Sunday, October 19, 2008 10:39 PM

You're much kinder than I am Joan

Here's a question you could have asked him, Joan: "does that mean that every white person who's endorsed McCain did that because he's white too?"

I don't think these people even realize how offensive that is.

Monday, October 20, 2008 12:07 AM

Shells

What I said to OhioP goes for you too. Take that feeble, annoying diatribe somewhere else.

Original article: Foxy Judy

See, this would be embarrassing for FOX

If they were a news organization. Since they aren't, well, I'm sure Judith has to eat to.

Monday, October 20, 2008 03:49 PM

Ahhhh

I love the smell of desperation in the morning.

Original article: Bob the Banker speaks out

Thanks Gary

I needed the laugh. Good job, and your point is taken.

Tuesday, October 21, 2008 05:26 PM

Darn it, I hate being late

This, or any other, race-based analysis only applies to minorities. White people are assumed to, you know, think.

I think the craziest of the Republicans keep hoping the "liberal" line in the sand keeps getting pushed so far right that they don't look so bat-shit crazy anymore.

Tuesday, October 21, 2008 08:31 PM

I don't understand

What do you mean, "could" get dirty? You don't actually think the last two elections have been valid, do you?

Friday, October 24, 2008 11:20 AM

Kenneth is an empty man

This guy must have a hole where his soul is supposed to be. I'm not too sure what he's using in his head for brains either; I couldn't believe some of the answers he gave you. Long-term bombing, because of Iran's aggression, of course. We have to stop them from waging war by...waging war. The illogic makes my head hurt.

Of course, these people need Iran as villains, because they've got oil, and Americans are used to thinking of them in that role. If "W" was a different man, they'd probably be US allies right now...they made some overtures after 911. For sure, relations could easily be better, but that wouldn't sell more missiles, would it?

Really good interview Glenn. I feel worse hearing it, knowing that someone like this can get people who matter to listen to his ravings, but it's better to know.

Friday, October 24, 2008 11:21 AM

Given the Republican style of naming

Should we call him Kenneth the Carpet-bomber?

Wednesday, October 29, 2008 07:19 AM

It has to be said again and again

These people are embarrassing. For anybody who cares about the state of journalism, or what the profession should be, the way many reporters behave is like continually being punched in the stomach.

Wednesday, October 29, 2008 08:27 AM

Gotta give you credit King

At least this isn't the same Lakers - Celtics article everybody else is writing. And hey, it could happen.

Thursday, October 30, 2008 05:54 AM

@omooex

I'm not sure anything would upset Chuck D as much as anybody belly-dancing to P. E.

Friday, October 31, 2008 05:53 AM

I'm just curious

If the MSM gets increased viewership, and therefore ad revenue, from having "sxclusive" stories, is some kind of lawsuit viable? I'm pretty sure it's money that's behind this attitude.

Friday, October 31, 2008 08:36 AM

@Juliebird

I hope you don't mind, but I'm going to be repeating thoe stories all week. I thought you were remarkably polite to that woman.

Wolfmason, have you heard that Obama is actually a were-hyena? That african blood, you know. Can't trust it.

Original article: Palin pranked

Sorry for her?

Even if you give her a mulligan on just about everything that was said in the conversation (and there were lots of things that should have made her realize something was up - I mean, Nailin' Pailin?) how the hell does she not know who the Prime Minister of Canada is? The country she really CAN see from Alaska? America's biggest trading partner?

Stupid, incompetent woman.

@zwrite

Hate to tell you, but the accent was legit. It was Quebecois, but legit.

Sunday, November 2, 2008 10:16 AM

Not only are you right Glenn

But I'm betting the would lose money if they did went even more Right. Who do they want to be, FOX?

Original article: Sad news on Election Eve

That's really rough

I wonder how he'll comment on that tomorrow. My condolences to the entire family, she sounded like a really nice, genuine person.

Tuesday, November 4, 2008 02:55 PM

That was awesome

Nothing else. Just that.

Tuesday, November 4, 2008 04:26 PM

I'm just curious

What do people here do if Obama loses, and it seems like it's another stolen election? What do you do?

Yeah, I'm nervous about this. I won't relax until the stake is in and the head of this election has been cut off.

Tuesday, November 4, 2008 04:32 PM

@bamaga

I hear you. I hope you won't need it.

I still see some signs of life out there though...

Tuesday, November 4, 2008 04:54 PM

@bamage

I gotta preview this stuff beforehand. Sorry about the typo.

Tuesday, November 4, 2008 04:56 PM

thanks for the advice Glenn

I don't know though, I can understand the temptation right now...this seems to be taking forever.

Yeah, I saw Carville. That was funny. "Me? What are you talking about?" I bet he hasn't scrambled that fast since high school.

Tuesday, November 4, 2008 08:02 PM

Holograms

Actually, it was taking me back to my youth and Star Wars.

Faux just called it for Obama too. Now I can relax. It's over, and it's just beginning.

Tuesday, November 4, 2008 08:09 PM

That didn't take long

Already some talking heads on Fox are saying that they hope Obama listens to the business community.

I guess because they've been managing things so well lately.

Tuesday, November 4, 2008 08:12 PM

Is it just me?

Or does Shepherd really seem like he's on drugs? Could he be more mellow?

Tuesday, November 4, 2008 08:28 PM

I'm surprised

That was one of the best speeches I've heard McCain give. Very graceful. Some of his supporters though...

Doesn't matter. Let's see how these people react tomorrow. I'm just gonna enjoy this now.

Tuesday, November 4, 2008 08:36 PM

And know, the knives

They're starting to fight over the reasons for the loss. Glenn, you were right, this is beautiful. Thanks.
