Original article: McCain's flailing panic

Obama needs a 10 -15 percent lead

Something that's closer to tamper-proof. McCain's week has been the political equivalent of an epileptic fit, so that should help.

Glenn, I totally agree with you. No one should read Dick Morris.

Sunday, September 14, 2008 11:13 AM

I don't know about you rquestion Glenn

Are substantive debates allowed anymore?

Friday, September 12, 2008 08:24 PM

Try this word instead of inconsistent

Liar. That's what she is.

Tuesday, September 9, 2008 10:31 PM

Shanghaied

Seriously, what are you talking about? Showboating? The kid threw a ball in the air and jumped onto a pile of his teammates. That's showboating?

If you have an axe to grind, that's fine, I guess, but at least pick a case that demonstrates what you're complaining about.

I think I see a problem

Afraid, I feel you man. Cary, I think one problem is that you're assuming that this problem goes away if Obama wins. Since Gore won, and didn't become president, and it's extremely likely the same thing happened to Kerry, what makes you think Obama can win?

I don't know if the current American attitude goes away that easily. Some nasty truths would have to be faced first, and I don't see any willingness to do that. I mean, it's American POLICY now to torture people; that would have been unimaginable when I was a kid.

King, I'm shocked

The NCAA learning from something? That's excessively optimistic, don't you think? Is that even possible?

Sunday, August 31, 2008 07:30 PM

It can't be!

Republicans say one thing then do another? I'm shocked, shocked! that it didn't happen even sooner.

The thought of Romney being upset at not being on the ticket does make me smile though.

Enter the jackboots

I'm pretty sure if you're Muslim, you already have had a pretty good look at this face of the US government. Thanks for getting this out Glenn, it's an outrage. Has there been any mention of this in any of the national media, at all? I haven't seen any.

Yeah, the hypocrisy of the media is nauseating...but how those cops don't see that they're de facto storm troopers is beyond me. Maybe they just don't care.

Friday, August 29, 2008 11:44 PM

Should Obama have picked Hillary?

Maybe it's just me, but I've seen this question asked a ton of time, and there's no indication she would have been interested. Seriously, where is that indicated? Would she even want that job?

Without that question answered, this article is pretty much a waste of time.

Friday, August 29, 2008 11:26 PM

It really doesn't matter

Doesn't make a difference who McCain picked. The only real question that matters is whether the American public is paying attention or not.

If not, the Republicans can win. They can steal the election if there isn't enough distance between Obama and McCain, they've already shown that.

The more I learn about Palin, the more I don't like about her.

Original article: Christianists gone wild

Mr. Leonard

Loved the last line in the article. It should be made clear to everybody exactly what's going on in America today.

Malusinka

Yeah, thanks for saying that. Rtf doesn't know what s/he is talking about. The only way those kind of complaints happen is if the people setting up the system are unbelievably stupid (I guess it could happen in the US right now). I've found that doctors are happy enough to accept a lessor salary (which is still gonna be high) if they don't have to worry about getting their pants sued off.

In any case, it's ridiculous trying to defend the US health care system. It works if you're a have, it's barely acceptable if your coverage is good unless something traumatic happens, and it is horrendous if you're a have-not. I don't understand why so many people accept it as is. It should have been changed ages ago.

That KILLED me

I gotta say, that Fox video was one of the funniest things I've seen in along time. I almost collapsed watching that. What a tool that guy was.

I'm gonna see how this choice of Obama's works out. I've never been a huge Biden fan, but he may have his uses.

Saturday, August 23, 2008 11:14 AM

Interesting

I was wondering if anybody was going to present an alternative view of what was happening in China during the Olympics. Thanks for this, there was more to think about from this than all the articles I've read in the MSM since this started.

Original article: It's Biden

I'll have to see how this works out

I'm underwhelmed by the pick though.

Friday, August 15, 2008 11:37 PM

Is that question for real?

How do we know they're right? Seriously?

Barack's being helped by being black? Sure, because that's obviously been a huge advantage in American politics previously. People have either lost their minds, or are just being stupid, either of which would be good for McCain.

Original article: Johnny, I hardly knew ye

Unbvelievable

The whole premise of this article is maddening and mind-blowing - or would be if I had thought that there were more than a few real journalists left in the US. What in the world would make Shapiro think that he knew Edwards, or that he knows him now? He's not a confidante of his. And really, if this covers everything that Shapiro thought he knew about Edwards, it doesn't cover a lot in the first place.

Maybe some examination of his policies, rather than "liking" him would have been time better spent.

Wednesday, August 13, 2008 11:41 PM

substance

I don't know about you Glenn, or anybody else who listened to Halperin, but I'd just about kill to find out what he meant by " the substance of these issues." too bad he didn't expand on that. Seriously, what was he expecting to talk about? I'm guessing he really meant he hadn't expected to talk about the substance of his part in proclaiming this bill wasn't that bad, or how much cover it provides to Bush and the telecoms. But that's just a guess.

Ufansius, you got it exactly right regarding the state of the press and their subjects in America.

Original article: Quote of the day

Powell is a lying fraud

He's totally right about Kristol though.

Original article: John McCain, Internet dunce

I'm just wondering

How long could you make this article if you really wanted to go over all the reasons John McCain isn't the leader required?

Tuesday, August 12, 2008 03:51 PM

Thanks for this

It's just a little more information confirming why I've felt uncomfortable with these Olympics since I heard that China was hosting. Sadly so long as the money is there, very few people will care. After all, it's not them suffering.
