Nice interview Glenn, and I haven't read all the comments yet, so it's possible someone has already covered this, but here I go anyway. One thing I noticed Aaron say was that he hadn't vetted the guests on his show. Now, I don't know the structure of the show, maybe he wasn't responsible for something like that.
My question is, who was? Did Aaron know? Did he ever check? Why would he be so unconcerned about that?
That was his routine on Last Comic Standing, right? Genius!
Nothing else to say.
The NBA blows at least one series every single year due to bad referees or a terrible decision from the league. Every year. It's been at least three years since a team won the championship clean, as far as I'm concerned.
Every year. I love the game, but the league drives me crazy. And you're right, Kidd should have been suspended .
And on point. Thanks Glenn. I've been waiting for someone people actually read to say something like this. The only thing you missed is WHY this is so important we have to keep talking about it...not that I think you should spend any more time on this. Like you said, we're way past enough.
Is watching some of the right-wing trolls around here talk to each other. Like we care what you say, or think.
Other than that, I'm still waiting for Joan to acknowledge she's been really focused on one set of issues in this campaign. I'm not holding my breath though.
All they need are enough people not really paying attention so that they can steal the election again. If it's close, McCain will "win".
So, it can't be close. By the time the election comes around, Johnny has to be completely discredited. Ideally, this shouldn't be too difficult, the guy is a horror show. Practically, with the media support he gets, this will be difficult. Not impossible, just difficult.
What was the point to this article again? Was there any information I was supposed to learn from this?
I thought today's Shapiro piece was empty and vacuous, but this one beats it all around. Would it be too much to suggest that if you're going to write about economic issues, you know something about it?
By the way, that's not being an "elite" so much as actually knowing wtf you're talking about. Which Frost obviously doesn't.
I had totally missed the NY Times story from Gordon. There's really no excuse for it, it's kind of impossible to read the situation as being anything but he's doing his job, which his editors are fine with. He couldn't get a passing grade at J-school with a story like that; it's impossible that they don't understand how badly done it is.
On another topic entirely, maybe the Iran situation is why Petreaus got his recent promotion.
That's hardly the only problem they've had in Atlanta with the clock. They get home cooking in more ways than one there.
Every year, officials make terrible calls in the playoffs. I'm just waiting to see if they totally screw up a series this year, like they usually do.
What was the reason the super delegates should listen to him again?
Seriously, just go find sometehing good to listen to. There's a ton of great Hip-Hop; y9ou just won't find most of it on the charts. Not if people with skills spittin' lyrics is what you're into, anyway...
"the incidence of election fraud in the United States is low and that fraud has had a minimal impact on electoral outcomes." Am I supposed to take that sentence seriously? The last two presidential elections were fraudulent.
More people who are obviously being targeted for disenfranchisement aren't angrier about this. I mean, everybody should be, but especially the people being told they aren't good enough to vote.
He sucked like a vacuum. He should have been jailed, much like the current President. Any other reading of his presidency is fatuous.
Henin that is. That "incident" with Serena Williams told me all I need to know about her. I wish Sorenstam well.
"I WANT to believe Ken Pollack and I have been generally proven right by events." Now, that statement I think he could stand behind. The reality? Probably not as comforting as he's writing.
Good job Glenn. These guys squeal the loudest when faced with a little truth.
I'm just curious as to why so many people on these letter pages don't seem to be able to try to argue without throwing out an insult at the same time. Clearly, they're not trying to make a point that will convince anybody...what are they trying to do? I wonder.
I thought this article by Shapiro was pretty weak. He seems to be the guy Salon goes to to write something in lieu of actual news, which is too bad; I'm sure he's capable of something more substantive than this.
You know, the difference between the candidates as far as personal style is concerned, couldn't really have been made more clear than by the speeches they gave tonight. Clinton's was pretty good, except for the fact that she gave it the night she lost the nomination. It would have been nice if she'd acknowledged that in some way. I'm totally not sure what she was doing with that.
Obama did what he normally did, give a really good speech. Best speaker in politics for a while.
I'm not sure if she thought that would get her the VP nomination, but if she wanted that spot, I doubt this was the way to get it.
Articles like this. I don't think enough people really think about stuff like this. This occupation will end badly for everybody, and I think the faster people realize this, the faster America will be out of there.
Not electing McCain would probably help too.
