The U.S. and its allies should be involved in all the earnst
DIPLOMACY
That they all possibly can.
A good place to start might be for the U.S. and Iran
To have official relations
So that we don't always have to go through so many
Stupid machinations.
"Y'all got 24 hours to get out of here, and 23 of 'em are already gone."
I know a thing or two about Iran's political system from having studied overseas at the American University in Cairo some 18 years ago. Mr. Ahmad-I-Need-Job before long will probably be needing to look for a job as he has earned much ire from some of the most conservative mullahs in Iran's majlis, and the convervatives are his political base. Furthermore, the office of president is mostly window dressing when it comes down to real Iranian politics. The ultimate leader under the constitution is Ayatolla Ali Khameni, not a pissant like Mr. Din-e-jad. Mr. Din-e-jad is catching a lot of heat for what many in the Iranian government consider his overly flamboyant style, and elections in Iran are not far away. It sure is a shame that the Clinton administation missed a golden oppurtunity to mend some differences with Iran when Mohammed Khatami was making what I felt were some honest overatures to America to seek some kind of feesible raprouchment. An oppurtunity of dialouge instead of the usual poisoned atmosphere would have been much appreciated, but an oppurtunity squandered often later leads to what we are now witnessing.
I couldn't have said that better myself.
Wouldn't HRC's "obliterate Iran" have been an inspiring solution to the Mid-east missle crisis? I never heard Walsh make a peek about it, yet McCain is a looney bird.
Let the signs of the zodiac be your guide, and if you find your candidate, may you beam with pride.
Hopefully not mr. anderson. Here I concur, cos it that case my friend, we'd be in some knee deep manure.
Flit like a fly
Queen bee hates Obama
But she don't know why.
One thing anybody involved in diplomacy with Iran needs to understand is that a lot of melodrama is always employed by Iranians. Tehran often makes the most bellicose statements just before they are ready to send a beautiful bouquet of flowers believee it or not. In all likelyhood there missle test fires shown in photos are some stock footage taken from Mr.Din-e-jad's uncle's basement, and are no reason to rise up to red alert. Iran and Israel were actually once allies with embassies in each other's countries before Khomeinism caught on. Khomeinism is most assuredly NOT catching on with Iranians today. I was sad when a more liberal figure like Mohammed Khatami served as Iran's president, and Washigton did nothing to avail itself of a much improved environment to at least talk to Iran. Bill Clinton could talk to Peres and Arafat, but he couldn't be bothered with Khatami. It was his loss and I'm afraid America's.
Because I'm not about sugar and spice and everything nice
I'm about a little sugar with a little salt
But bring the bullshit to a halt.
I'm down with what you're sayin', and I think you're right, for all I could care about McCain and the success of his canpaign, well he can just go fly a kite.
That remark about too much pork fat, that ain't no jive.
Why not write in Captain America or Wonder Woman instead? Now there's an idea to float around inside the emptiness of your head!
LOL
I won't speak for sigmund about class, but at least he has some.
My favorite Nat King Cole song.
"Unforgivable...that's what you are...unforgivable...whether near or far..."
Yeah, I say this, and it's regretable, but "unforgivable" is almost unforgetable.
I'm glad you had the Charles Scneer and Ray Harryhausen classic "The Golden Voyage of Sinbad" on your list. I saw it as a kid in '73 at the Greenway Plaza movie theatre in Houston Texas when I was about 10. Tom Baker's performance as the evil enchanter of the dark arts, the cruel sorceror Sakura, was an inspired performance, just as good as his turn as Rasputin in "Nicholas and Alexandra." Baker is an underestimated actor and I wish he'd done more movies. Of course any little boy seeing Sinbad was captivated by the beautiful Caroline Munro as Sinbad's cutey companion. Of Sneer's and Harryhausen's trilogy of Sinbad flicks, I think "Golden Voyage" is the best. It captures the spirit of the Arabian Nights better than any other movie outside of Alexander Korda's "Thief of Baghdad. Also, when I lived in Cairo Egypt many years ago, "Golden Voyage" was a favorite of my film buff friend Hanify, as well as many other Egyptians who still love and tell the tales of Shaherazad. Thanks for helping Sinbad to sail again.
Klytus does not aspire to superiority, on that subject dear Smith you are the authority.
Just for that you go on my ignore list you big meanie.
Personally I don't know anybody who's voting McCain, so for me to comment would just seem insane.
That was classy, brassy, and I dare say even kinda sassy.
Yep Obama caved, but I am NOT up for another four years of bein' Republican enslaved.
Now give a try to what I hope will turn out to be
