The old mom and pop shops had to pack up and leave, because evrything so suddenly became about a new affluent consciousness of "me! me! me! me!" I didn't even know that the Prius (I've never even known or noticed to this day what one looks like) was the chosen car of the white culture elite. Back in the day it was Volvos, and we white outsider punkers were vandalizing them, Beemers, and Mercedes, whenever we were caught up in the angst of a particularly idle weekend. All I can now say in my 40's, is that I still don't like this fleecy flock of fucking white sheep any more than I did in the 80's, and everytime I eye some idiot walking around his ear phones umbilically attached to an iPod, or absorbed in his iBook, I usually take an oppurtunity to shoot this insularly, self-involved shithead a look of such vicious intent, that they promptly put away their proud toys, or else fuck off somewhere out of my line of public sight. Maybe what these sorts need is a lot less self deprecation, and a lot more introspection and insight, into why they are all such carbon copy cunts.
