A New New Deal?

Sounds sweet.

Also sounds like sweet mouthed science fiction.

@Mickey

That sounds about right. MAD - Mutualy Assured Destruction.

Friday, August 15, 2008 08:23 AM

@sonoflard

The only thing "corrupt," is you my son, mr. loud and abrupt.

@FlyBoysDaughter

Way to slap Barack Obama down, you may think you're superfly, but I'll just go with superclown.

Friday, August 15, 2008 08:43 AM

@MitchK

It should be pointed out that some of the over zealous of Hillary's supporters are doing a fair bit of spitting themselves. I think to simply deny this is to be way too pious.

@slogirl

That bears at least a little introspection, and I think is a very good inquisitive question.

Zardoz has lots of camp

But in terms of imagination in science fiction

It rules as a champ.

I hear ya about the CGI

Pixilated fake, does not make a shit story great.

@ConservativeSlayer

Mel Brooks had the best take on George Mucus. The merchandising is where George Mucus made his huge ass gigantic killing, cos the suckers all swooned, it was all limited edition, Star Warz action figure thrilling, a cash cow from the Schwartz was ready and able and the suckers were all willing. "Space Balls," now THAT'S a movie. Give me just plain Yogurt over Yoda any goddamn day.

@RenegadeIconoclast

Renegade Iconoclast, you've got it down straight to every gross detail, from first to last.

Friday, August 15, 2008 09:51 AM

son 'o loud

if i had a mind such as yours, i would not write home all proud.

@maureenodonnell

I like what you said. I'll bet you've got nice shoulders, where there rests a wise head.

"You scratch my back

And in turn I will scratch yours."

People ought to take those words to heart

Before they go slamming any doors.

Friday, August 15, 2008 02:44 PM

lol

cait

the world won't stand stiil or wait

until you give up your hate.

Friday, August 15, 2008 03:16 PM

@RenegadeIconoclast

Man, I don't know how both sides can go on blasting this full tilt animosity over bullshit everlasting. But dude, really, reel it in, we want to build bridges, not rub things in again and again. I wont stand still for wolves in sheep's disguise, or trolls spreadin' the very flimsiest of lies, but if people have a differing perception of how the primary went off, analyse it over and over till the ananlysis reaches the skies. I'm all ready moved on. And before you'll even know it, two months will be long gone.

Friday, August 15, 2008 08:25 PM

I don't know quite how to go into this one

Only to "say we shall see.."

Cos the color of a candidate's covering

Makes no real difference to me.

And by covering

I don't mean the media's kind

It will be indeed interesting to take note of

Just how far America

Has become color blind.

Friday, August 15, 2008 08:35 PM

gala eleven

The gala event was long over at half past seven. Learn to move productively along, because your same 'ol sing song, only in the end, serves to serve you wrong.

Friday, August 15, 2008 08:51 PM

@jeb

I don't know whether light brown or high yella, is the answer to the puzzling race question. Perhaps it could be, that any other of another of variations of colors could come into fashion. Are you really that superficial?

Friday, August 15, 2008 10:08 PM

It would only "fix things"

By way of ugly curse

In Dave Satan's little sicko universe.

Friday, August 15, 2008 10:24 PM

@vwcats

I live in a town that's pretty evenly black and white, and I think the vibe that goes around, is folks will vote for the guy that they think is right.

Original article: Get Rielle

I've already seen this "Story of My Life"

It was cALLED "pINK fLAMINGOS."

Friday, August 15, 2008 11:15 PM

@vwcats

I don't think anybody can get a grip on an acutely accutate and really representational pulse on whether color will be for voters a very significant feature, but I sure hope an American spirit of open mindedness and fairness shall prevail, to stand a support, as a good guide, and a good and just teacher.

Friday, August 15, 2008 11:21 PM

where...?

Baghdad?

Saturday, August 16, 2008 05:22 AM

@barbara Z

If it'll please you much, why wait till tommorow? Just write in on that ballot, the mark of ZORRO.

next......?

Saturday, August 16, 2008 05:52 AM

@maureen

Thanks. I don't know if pink elephants are gonna take the day, I just hope that DUMBO stays faaaar away.

Saturday, August 16, 2008 10:00 AM

One thing I believe...

Obama's coming this far

Relied not soley, on black votes.

His message of hope has remained afloat

On mucho mucho more

Than just the black vote....

Saturday, August 16, 2008 10:10 AM

@zithead

You seriously need to pop that pus outta your swollen brain, some of the loaded remarks you make are just crazy-insane.

Saturday, August 16, 2008 10:27 AM

@gala11

"harass" my ass! Who's been fillin' these pages up with the most poisonous mustard gas? Look no further than towards yourself. Don't spend all your venom now, keep a little in reserve, up on the cupboard shelf.

Peace.

Saturday, August 16, 2008 10:32 AM

I don't know if zenhead is a raging elephant

But his cracks are a far cry from truthfully eloquent.

All that sci-fi...

...reaches for and aspires to today, is popcorn, kiddie ride, CGI fantasy game, fanboy role play. "Silent Running" is still a little known sci-fi cult classic flick, cos people still have an appetite for their cotton candy, that is, until their tummies get overfed with it, and then sick.

I think audiences now are really asking for much more, than what George Lucas can give the public, from his computer generated candy store.

Saturday, August 16, 2008 11:01 AM

@susan of the sunflowers

"Black power" has long past seen its day, and Che Guevera and his merry band of gurerillas, are about a million light years away.

The "melting pot" has been an ideal, an IDEAL, to which Americans have long aspired, and I think as an abstract concept, it is one that has not yet expired.

Saturday, August 16, 2008 11:03 AM

..And just speaking for myself

The more melting the merrier.

Saturday, August 16, 2008 11:14 AM

Who says people are "assimilated" by a "dominant" white culture?

My own ethnic mix and that of my family and friends, has a social and racial mixture that sees no end...

It's not about domination.

It's about cross polination and racial and social interaction and integration.

Saturday, August 16, 2008 11:26 AM

Jokie Cokie

Cokie Roberts and her 'ol southern belle, Lindy Boggs, high livin' past, pull no punches of surprise, and hardly hold me surprisedly aghast. Cokie is about as relevant to American politics today, as Huey the Kingfish Long is now, with his "my way or the highway" way.

Cokie is not the embodiment of American gothic, Cokie, and here you can trust me, is the living embodiment, of American crusty.

Saturday, August 16, 2008 01:49 PM

@jeb

Those were some insightful and intelligent things you just said. Thanks for that, I think many of the things you said on the melting pot were pretty sharply exact.
