They're all whores.
[Read the article: Targeting Steny Hoyer for his contempt for the rule of law]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I'm sorry.
I did not mean to imply that whores have honor equal to a Congressman.
Right now, Congressmen rank alongside child molesters which is much lower on the Jeb Scale than whores.

I was donating while you were making my point (be)for(e) me."
I waited as long as I could but I figured you might still be out slaying Walleyes.
If Hoyer keeps this crap up, I will be forced to send The Troupe to his house and let Bebop-O moon his wife and you can shake your booty at his manservant.
Then he will know what real torture is all about.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]"A Democratic Congress and a Democratic president will insure you don't have more SC Justices like Antonin Scalia, Clarence Thomas, John Roberts and Sam Alito. If you vote for Republicans you will and you won't like that, either."
What makes you think so?
I'm pretty sure that those voters in Hoyer's district didn't think for a minute that they were electing someone who would betray the country either.
Right now, until and unless Barack Obama comes out publically and strongly against this crock of horseshit that the Democratic leadership is peddling, there isn't a damned one of those Democrats up there worth a warm bucket of piss.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]"Look, I think Hoyer sucks and I'm no fan of Pelosi. But we have to see who challenges Hoyer in the next Dem primary, if anyone, and who the Repubs field against him. Same with any Democrat. Yes, you want to make progress and move the Overton Window but you also want to do it so that you don't lose a seat or district, lose ground. You have to think in several dimensions here."
If we let Hoyer get away with this, it really doesn't make any difference who is elected to his seat, does it.
What's the difference between electing a tyrant who goes against the wishes of his constituency with a (D) after his name or a tyrant with an (R) after his name?
The only difference that I can see is one will lie to your face and then screw you and the other feels he doesn't have to lie before he screws you.
When all is said and done, there's no difference between an Obama alowing the violation of the Constitution and a McCain violating the same Constitution.
It's time to tell Obama to either saddle up or get out of the corral.
It's also time for the Democrats to grow some balls and get some leadership in Congress who will act like Democrats and not like Republicans in drag.
Screw the Overton window.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]"Republicans didn't even run anyone against him in 2006.
The Greens mounted a challenge candidate that he beat almost 6 to 1."
So?
Perhaps his district could use a little education. Perhaps he can be forced to spend some campaign money defending his seat against a real Democrat instead of being appointed and then screwing the very people who elected him.
In anycase, I don't see the downside in working to get rid of him. At minimum, he can be used as an example.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]"What L.W.M. is saying makes perfect sense to me. Attempting to elect more and better Democrats very definitely is on occcasion a risky business. Consider Lamont/Lieberman."
One of us is reading what L.W.M. said incorrectly.
It's my understanding that he advocates that we tread lightly when challenging incumbant Democrats, not that we elect more and better Democrats. I believe we should elect more and better Democrats and we should start with Hoyer's district. There's no doubt in my mind that while we won't be getting "more" Democrats by throwing him out on his ass, but we sure as hell will be getting a better one. Even if a Republican gets elected to his district, so what? Precisely what have we lost?
If he is actually saying what you said, then I am in agreement with him.

I don't know how religiously you read this blog or its comments section but numerous commentors have suggested that we contact Obama and urge him to take a strong position on this issue.
The bloghead, Glenn Greenwald, has also mentioned that Obama should take the lead on this issue.
Please join us in contacting the Obama campaign and leave a message for him to get up front.
