GG - Update 2

"Whoever wrote that statement is obviously quite confused about the basic facts governing the current dispute."

...or they are counting on the public remaining quite confused about the basic facts governing the current dispute and the so-called national security implications of a "FISAless" country.

I believe they know full well what they are saying and I also believe they know they are flat lying.

If this issue is important enough for the McCain campaign to throw their own candidate under the bus, it means the Republican choice of a Vice-Presidential candidate will not be anyone who cannot control McCain and do the actual heavy lifting of a McCain administration. George Bush was chosen as the GOP candidate in 2000 because of his ability to be liked and also be controlled by Cheney and his Gang of Thieving, Treasonous Bastards.

McCain is in the same position. His "choice" of running mate will tell us precisely who controls the GOP nominating apparatus - and it ain't McCain.

It's getting obvious that you don't even read the articles before posting?

"I'll stop now. There is no way that Americans can control this government; and I don't think they want to do so. I think they all just want their cut of the pie."

Bucky, my friend, are you in good health?

"Glenn assumes that every dollar is spent on this single issue which of course is not only nonsense it's precisely the sloppiness that Glenn typically tells us is gospel."

You still haven't read the article, have you.

Interesting....

When I clicked up erols.com, the website noted in the invitation as the recipient of RSVPs, I got the website for:

"DUAL DIAGNOSIS WEBSITE

Mental Illness, Drug Addiction and Alcoholism, MIDAA(R), MICA"

The message on the site begins:

"Hello, I'm Kathleen Sciacca, and I would like to welcome you to the Dual Diagnosis Website. Dual Diagnosis refers to co-occurring Mental Illness, Drug Addiction and/or Alcoholism in various combinations."

How fitting. It's also Mr. Megawatt's, aka ElectroDunce, Home Page.

"acknowledges what they really do."

They sinned?

Well, that's how Vitter described it.

I've long held the opinion that The Politico was founded and encouraged to do what they do in order to purposely obfuscate the political environment and make money for its investors by doing so. Actually reporting political news accurately and completely isn't included in their business plan.

Off hand, can you give a reason why Hillary Clinton is almost universally disliked by independent voters?

Monday, May 26, 2008 06:55 PM

-- damnthatxanadu

I didn't make it universal simply because it isn't universal. There is, however, quite a large percentage of independents who seem to dislike Hillary, for one reason or another, whether justified or not.

Can you explain why this seems to be the case?

Please note, I am not speaking of those Democrats who support Obama or who supported another candidate. I'm talking about genuine independent voters who polls say harbor a dislike for Hillary.

Why do they dislike her? I am genuinely interested in an honest answer.

If youre having a hard time coming up with a reasonable answer for that question, try this one...

Why would someone who supports a certain candidate believe he is doing that candidate a favor by insulting and demeaning any person who might be pursuaded to support that candidate absent being insulted by his/her supporter? Why are you so antagonistic when you could (and should, given the position of your chosen candidate) be much nicer.

So, when will we learn that George Bush greenlighted this action during his recent pilgrimage to Israel? I find it hard to believe Israel would do this (ban an American citizen on such flimsy grounds) without first consulting and receiving permission from the United States.

"Are three stories on people who criticize McClellan, and zero on his assertions, the best CNN can do?"

Without admitting that they are as culpable as all the other corporate media, Yes.

Criticizing those who control the content of our news organs is like pissing into the wind. The first network face who admits he/she could have done a better job will soon be looking for work. It's as simple as that.

"I also liked the guy who tapped danced."

That guy was named Bobby Somethingorother and he was one of the original Mousekateers. I hated him because he got to interact with Annette Funicello and I didn't. She was my first love and to this day, I don't know whether it was because she was good on the show or because she was the only girl my age who had boobs.

LW was tops! Ah One and Ah Two.....Good wholesome entertainment - especially if you liked polkas.

Almost as good as Arthur Godfrey.
