"She lives in Manhattan now; we had a great celebration last fall for her 60th, a big gathering upstate where we pondered all the ways the world has changed. And, suitably enough, drank way too much."

I was talking about those changes the other day with my better half.

Isn't it remarkable that we're still alive after going through childhood without wearing helmets while riding our bikes? We even rode on the back of flatbed trucks on our way to the fields to pick veggies for Heinz - at the age of 9.

My very good friend also reminded me of the times he and his brother spent in the rail yards on the western side of Sandusky where the Norfolk and Western Railroad had its coal cars staged to load the lake freighters. They used to hitch rides on the steam locomotives that switched the cars from the yards down to the coal docks on the bay. Went home at night looking like coal miners but had a blast.

I cannot imagine growing up in today's sanitized world.

Picture Jebbie in a unikini like Borak.

    That'll do it.

"Jebbie... I thought of you today;"

Pedinska put you up to that, didn't she.

She's got her panties all twisted up over the fact that it's now pubic knowledge that she does the floss thing.

    Some housekeeping...

Please consider allowing yourself sufficient time to come down from any meth induced highs before posting (this includes you, Derbig).

Today is the first day of the Ron Paul Challenge. If we can go the entire day without mentioning He Who Shall Not Be Named, Pedinska, Mona and I will perform the Hully Gully in the buff for your viewing pleasure (well, maybe pleasure is too strong a word but anyway...).

    Have a Great Day!

    Yawl.

I, as the owner of this game, am allowed to mention He Who Shall Not Be Named a maximum of one (1) time during the 24-hour period beginning whenever I say it begins.

Mona will definately show, but due to her advancing years, I hesitate to promise that she will show 'up'. Pedinska has promised to more than compensate for any gravity induced limitations in that regard and has also promised to model her new 'More Patriotic' line of Butt Floss.

Let us hope that the posters here at UT are up to the challenge.

"Does 'More Patriotic' mean that the floss should be red, white and blue, or does it mean it needs to have small flags attached to it?"

Standing at attention and a simple salute will suffice.

    Drat.

Mona is gonna kick some Pauliac ass.

"Jebbie, I think I owe you one, so you go ahead. No, really ... :>"

Never let it be said that I am not a gentleman. If Pedinska desires that I initiate some sphincterial activity by pulling her finger, I will be more than willing to do so as long as you agree not to allow open flames within 15 feet. Being a gentleman goes only so far and I do not desire to be a party to a "Pedinska Blows" segment on O'Reilly.

I wonder if we can get coverage on 'Countdown'.

Now, I'm off to trim my nails.

I'd been hoping for a break in the levity in order to wish you both the best and a hearty congratuations.

As soon as that break occurs, I shall do so.

".... I don't think anyone who was born here could ever come up with such an idea."

William, you probably didn't intend to limit such thinking to those who were born anywhere since merely being born really wouldn't induce any particular realm of thought pro or con to what Rowan claimed. No? Yes?

    -- Bucky1, et al

Your act, and the acts of those involved in this Hatfields and McCoys feud you guys have got going, is getting real old. Would you please consider a ceasefire, unilateral if need be, or take it to another planet? I'm sure you folks wouldn't think it ok to visit someone's home and shad on the carpet so I can't understand your propensity to do the same in Glenn's living room. Occasional clever reparte' is fine and dandy (even needed to lighten up the joint) but the constant bickering is getting to be a distracting eyesore.

I ask this as a friend.

I sort of thought that was how you meant the comment but wanted to make sure we agreed before acknowledging my agreement. ;->

The entire premise of one's "birthright" is what prompted Glenn's effort, unless I have totally misunderstood his writings in this case...which has happened previously but not too often.

"My sweet, I did expect better from you! It is properly illegal to organize a violent upheaval (e.g., revolution) that advocates putting people "up against the wall." Such inherently does not involve due process or recourse to the judicial system currently in place."

    OK, you've convinced me.

Instead of putting O'Hanlon "up against the wall", would it be all right to just waterboard him for a few hours?
