Now, Glenn?

Hi Glenn, I think it's been about a year. Time flies. Think it's time to impeach the criminals? Otherwise it's just bloga, bloga, bloga.

Take care, Jan

There's a solution

And I'll always be here to remind you.

Hi Glenn, my oh so quotable friend. Love this one:

"As always, the contempt which the Bush administration has for the rule of law is illustrated not only by their serial and conscious lawbreaking, but also by their extreme efforts to conceal those actions and shield them from any scrutiny or oversight of any kind."

Hmmm, "serial and conscious lawbreaking".

Sounds impeachable, eh?

Take care, Jan

Oh, what's to be done?

"These are the type of facially absurd and democracy-subverting shenanigans to which we have been subjected for the last six years. They will continue unless and until the press, the Democrats in Congress and/or Americans generally decide that they will no longer tolerate it."

We've aready decided, Glenn. Check the polls. We stopped tolerating their shenanigans/crimes a long time ago. Alert the media! Please!

It seems fitting to impeach Gonzales first. Restoring justice to the Justice Dept. What a concept! Ah, if only they'd come for the lawyers, first.

Will also make it that much easier to impeach bushcheney. Not to mention expedient! Stop the republicon gumming. I believe truth does it every time.

Come, join the rational, the patriots. Impeach.

Take care, Jan

Content? Not my people

Gee Gary, you gave me whiplash reading this. You say we the people are content to stick it out to the bitter end and then list all the groups, websites, and individuals who are clearly extremely discontented and are pursuing the logic of impeachment. My people. You and your people might want to check the polls. And check out some of those sites and books,

too.

Now for some quote fun:

You also say "Yet the people's dislike of Bush has not translated into any real move to get rid of him" The impeach- bush movement has not really taken off"

Where've you been, Gary? Again, check the polls and those sites and books. It has not only taken off. It's soaring!

And I love this one - "Even when it is unequivocally shown that a leader lied about a war, as is the case with Bush, he or she is still protected by this aura" Not.

The only aura bush has is failure covered in blood. So no protection there.

"The problem is the American people are not judging Bush by the standards of law." Yes, we are. That's one of the reasons we want him impeached, silly! We've been paying attention (my people, anyway) and know this administration is breaking laws all over the place.

"This attitude has become disturbingly widespread which may explain why Bush's illegal wiretapping, his approval of torure,

and his administration's partisan purge of U.S. District attorneys have not resulted in wider outrage." If we get any more outraged the pitchforks are coming out.

"Even the war card can't be played indefinitely" Charming Gary. It's not carnage, we're just shuffling cards.

"But it takes time to turn the Titantic. The years of deference to the War Leader cannot be overcome that quickly."

Anf then:

"Congress and the media both gain courage as the polls sink, and if Bush's numbers continue to hit historic lows, they will turn on him with increasing savagery. If everything happens just so, the downfall of the house of bush could be shocking in its swiftness."

See? Whiplash. And I won't get started on all that authoritarian, macho, patriarchal, gut instinct bloodlust vengence from old times or new. It's been rejected. Those polls again. We put the Dems in the majority for the opposite (ah, Oppositeland). Instead of the above, reason, sanity, a functioning, law biding government, etc... But alas, the Dems have yet to find their balls. But not to worry, the people have balls aplenty.

Bushcheny haven't been impeached because they and their minions own the media, the Dems in congress are deaf to the will of the people and balless, and republicons don't have a conscience among them or a love of country.

The people, I believe yours and mine, are demanding impeachment. Alert the media! Please! Is there any way to do that? And Congress, too. I don't think "my constituents are clamoring for impeachment" has gotten through to them, yet. Honestly, you'd think there's some wall around that DC place.

Take care, Jan

It's still Oppositeland, Glenn.

"They embraced timetables because most Americans supported it. But they ran away from de-funding because Americans did not"

Lol, if they embraced what most Americans are supporting they'd be impeaching. But to the myth at hand.

Hi Glenn, this myth is propaganda, you know. I think most of the republicon propaganda is based on myths. Could be a rule of propaganda for all I know. I surf the notnews channels and this was a biggie. If I were brainwashable I'd believe this lie and all the other lies, propaganda, and myths they push relentlessly. They have one heck of a propaganda machine. And a whole bunch of Dems bought the lie. Just like that WMD myth. Guess it's just not the little guy who's easily brainwashed. We are denting this machine, though. Jon Stewart, Bill Moyers, Stephen Colbert. Stephanie Miller beat it up so bad lately they only gave her three days. I've been writing the powers that be at msnbc ever since to give her back to me but then they gave me Scarbrough and Cramer. Guess they didn't get my emails. All her truth must have exploded their heads.

Anyway, the grotesque republicon Rah Rah War! with the blood nearing our chins may just be the opposite to flip this land.

And remember, it's Joe waste of flesh Biden.

Take care, Jan
