If Obama, Clinton and Edwards are truly the candidates for change that they are all now ceaselessly telling us they are, they should not allow any fear of a challenge by Karl Rove to cower them.

It's not fear of a challenge that will stop them.

Morality has seldom played much of a role in governance and most of the time it has played no role at all.

The forces at work against us make Machiavelli appear a naive waif. This is a winner take all game for literally trillions, it will not be played according to Marquis de Queensbury rules.

Just wondering..

What do you think of the piece below?

Pay particular attention to the bolded parts, sound familiar?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Business_Plot

The Business Plot, the Plot Against FDR, or the White House Putsch, was a conspiracy involving several wealthy businessmen to overthrow the presidency of Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1933.

Details of the matter came to light when retired Marine Corps Major General Smedley Butler testified before a Congressional committee that a group of men had attempted to recruit him to serve as the leader of a plot and to assume and wield power once the coup was successful. Butler testified before the McCormack-Dickstein Committee in 1934.[1] In his testimony, Butler claimed that a group of several men had approached him as part of a plot to overthrow Roosevelt in a military coup. One of the alleged plotters, Gerald MacGuire, vehemently denied any such plot. In their final report, the Congressional committee supported Butler's allegations on the existence of the plot,[2] but no prosecutions or further investigations followed, and the matter was mostly forgotten.

Major General Butler claimed that the American Liberty League was the primary means of funding the plot. The main backers were the Du Pont family, as well as leaders of U.S. Steel, General Motors, Standard Oil, Chase National Bank, and Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. A BBC documentary claims Prescott Bush, father and grandfather to the 41st and 43rd US Presidents respectively, was also connected.[3]

Original article: Holy Constitution!

We need a good dose of Huckabee..

America desperately needs to be shocked out of its daydream fantasy world of Britney, Paris and chums.

When some kids get caught smoking their parent(s) make them smoke the whole pack and get horribly sick.

That is what America needs, get horribly sick with the Christian reconstructionists and maybe, just maybe it will turn us around.

Although I doubt it.

What struck me the most about that piece is that no one was prosecuted for a treasonous plot and no further investigations were carried out.

It is clear that this is a government of men and not of laws and has been for a long, long time.

Squeaky Fromme, John Hinkley, Sirhan Sirhan.. All doing time.

The business plotters? Not even charged.

Cap Weinberger? Preemptively pardoned.

Oliver North? Has his own radio show.

Something I wonder about..

How many of you reading this have tried talking to your friends and family about what you are learning online?

Have you had any success getting them to either believe you or take heed of the dangers?

It wouldn't surprise me to find out that more than a few of your friends and family think you are nuts if you have tried to share this with them.

A word from a Samaritan

I'm sure you are familiar with the parable of the Good Samaritan.

The phrase has entered our language to the point where most people do not realize the original intent of the Christ when He related the parable to the student of the law that was questioning Him.

Samaria and Samaritans were considered unclean by the Jews of Biblical times, so much so that pious Jews would go a long way out of their way not to pass through Samaria. And this in a day when transportation was strictly by foot or donkeyback.

The fact of the matter is that, in the parable, the Christ had two pious Jews, a Levite and a Priest, bypass the injured man as if he was rotten meat. And then the Christ said that the very first unbeliever who came by, the Samaritan, took mercy upon the man, bound his wounds, carried him to an inn and paid the innkeeper to tend to him.

From your writing it's obvious that you are intelligent.. I shall leave you to draw your own conclusions from the parable and my emphasis.

What you are going through may be a deconversion, what a theist goes through in the process of losing his/her faith. For some deconversion is a relatively painless process, for others it involves losing their family and friends and indeed their entire support system.

If you eventually end up becoming a Samaritan, just remember the parable and rest assured that Samaritans do not have to be bad people, the Christ Himself said so.

No you don't..

The state tells you what you may and may not put into your body.

And when the politicians decide that the Military Industrial Complex needs even more money they will decide that you must sacrifice your body and your life for their gain.

It's called "the draft" and the system is still in place.

The state graciously allows you to use your body until it is needed for the purposes of the politicians.

Personally I think wars should be handled by dropping the respective heads of state naked onto a desert island and whichever one is able to leave alive their nation wins the war.

I wonder how long Bushie would have lasted against Saddam?

Without immunity the telecoms are going to dime out the bushco felons in a nano-second.

The Bushies hold very long grudges and have an extremely long arm. I wouldn't be so sure about the telcos dropping the dime.

Erik Prince is indebted to the Bushies big time and we all know what happens to dime droppers.
