Paul Rosenberg..

I've already stated that I have no explicit conspiracy theory.. I don't claim to have certain knowledge of what really happened.

But the juxtaposition of the PNACer's stated wishes and actual events leads me to think that there could well be a connection.

One thing I do know, if this level of connection between explicitly stated wishes and events were to happen anywhere other than America all the conspiracy nay sayers would be jumping up and down and screaming conspiracy!!

Being totally incredulous is just as much an error in thinking as being totally credulous.

Just like Nancy Pelosi taking impeachment off the table, taking the very possibility of a conspiracy off the table is a mistake.

I just weary of stupidity and willful ignorance.

As I said, it takes two to butt heads.

You're so clever that you know a priori I didn't go to the home page. LOL.

If you had, then you would not have phrased your reply the way you did.

Even now you do not state that you went to the home page but rather imply that you did.

Just because the links do not work any more does not mean the citations are invalid. I provided an explanation for why the links do not work, an explanation that you would have known had you gone to the home page.

What I wrote in the reply is completely irrelevant to whether or not I replied to your childish taunts. It only matters that I did reply.

I said that you never answered my question..

Which you did not..

Go visit your brother in jail or something but for Christ's sake, just zip it.

Aww..

You're so cute when you pitch a tantrum..

I love you too..

St John..

What he did do was challenge the common beliefs of the day that the world was flat and risked his life and reputation to demonstrate his "truth".

It was quite well known to literate society in Columbus' day that the earth was indeed spherical.

In fact Columbus wildly miscalculated the circumference of the earth and would have perished along with his crew had he not run into the New World.

Eratosthenes was the first to accurately estimate the circumference of the earth in about 220 BC so it was hardly new knowledge in 1492.

There is no out for you on that. I'm finished with you.

Let's see, I repeatedly asked you to clarify your statement regarding me and you never, ever responded in a direct and unambiguous fashion.

It's funny that you can go back and dig up my words from so far back and yet you cannot recall your own when you lied about me even further back.

If I'm a liar then so are you big boy.

Love and kisses,

A..

From their worship at the altar of ignorance, the troll learns when all else fails to resort to claims of slander, to charges of being attacked, while purposefully and with great vigor ignoring that it is their message being attacked and in fact destroyed.

Look around with clear eyes, there is a lot of attacking the messenger as well as the message here.

I even indulge in it myself sometimes when sufficiently provoked.

I think you already know this, but it is the nature of all government to move steadily in the direction of aristocracy and totalitarianism unless that progress is disrupted by some dire cataclysm.

β€œThe tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure.” β€” Thomas Jefferson

You can have your libertarian government, but it won't stay that way long.. Eventually the people will get fat and grow lazy and then the slide toward oppression will begin once again.

Those who think the Democrats are going to save us are deluding themselves, the oligarchy plays "good cop, bad cop" with us, giving us the illusion that we have a real choice.

Anyone who has had personal contact with the political culture in Washington will recognize the attitude instantly. It's not just limited to news peoples β€” scorn for independent thought and unconventional wisdom among Washington aparatchiks is perhaps their most profound unifying trait.

It's not just Washington.

The same thing happens here when anyone dares challenge the conventional wisdom.

Independent thought and unconventional wisdom are hated by any in group.

I was literally called unfit to reproduce on a forum devoted to high fidelity audio because I dared to offer the opinion, backed up by facts, that it was impossible for the average listener to hear any difference from one high quality amplifier to another.

Just watch this thread devolve into a feces throwing contest by a bunch of naked apes.

If anyone did it was Uncle Duke.

Is insanely jealous because that ugly little elf Kucinich's (first) wife is a six foot tall obviously intelligent knockout and she ain't.

Jealousy is possibly the most destructive emotion there is.. I hope it eats that rhymes-with-witch's heart out.

Sociopaths can be extremely charming when they want something from you.

AncientAssyrian: The piece yesterday on Edwards that spoke of his "beautifully coiffed" rhetoric was just so far over the top that I had hard time believing I read it.

St John

My point, which I have not apparently made clearly, is that we all have within us the ability to recognize universal truths, and to discern what is true and what is false.

Would that were so.

Maybe it's the region of the country in which I live but I have a quite low opinion of most people's ability to discern truth.

I'll be extremely surprised if my state does not go Republican in the election this year.

My preferred tactic is to fiercely ridicule the more obstreperous messenger while attacking (or as appropriate, ridiculing) the 'message' as well.

Any sufficiently advanced ridicule is indistinguishable from an attack.
