[Read more letters about this article: Here]Of the bullet points in the article, while none conclusively prove overt sexism, I suspect the first bullet point (about title) is closest to being plausibly sexist. Note that no numbers are given, so the results may be marginal at best. It could also be that there are some legitimate ambiguity on the proper honorific depending on context: when discussing her role as Former First Lady, that would be an appropriate title, as would Mrs Clinton or perhaps simply her full name, Hillary Rodham Clinton. When speaking in terms of her role as a legislator, and her current run, "Senator Hillary Clinton" or "Senator Clinton" would be appropriate. Stylistically, it may be canonically proper to, in the former, refer to her has former First Lady, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY), but I can see how that could be shortened by an annoyed copy editor (a decision, given that space is money in a periodical) that I cannot entirely find fault in.
As for the rest, I'm betting that (a) because the press and country is already familiar with Clinton, less verbiage would be devoted to filling in her back-story as opposed to that necessity with Obama and (b) Obama's movement in the polls what more newsworthy.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]Need to know the latest GOP talking points? Look no further than letters.salon.com!
Apparently global warming is a marketing scheme for Al Gore! I guess Republicans don't believe in making money when its the other guy.
Red GTI -- one of my favorites. Is that GTI up on blocks in front of your double-wide? Get 'er done!
Did I scare theplanner off? Don't worry, you're still on my radar.
The best argument I've heard so far for Clinton on the ticket come November is "assassination insurance." Even the most ardent racist terrorist would think twice about putting a bullet in Obama with Clinton next in line.

Military voters
[Read the article: Plouffe discusses Obama's map to victory]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Why would any military personnel or family vote for the candidate who vocally opposed the Jim Webb sponsored bill to grant enlistees the same benefits given to returning GIs in World War II?
This is a talking point designed to drive a typical Democratic candidate to the right. Obama is already well in the center of conventional politics with his stances on expanding US military (a stance of his which I considered carefully after Kucinich's unlikely bid ended and I had to pick a real winner).
All Obama has to say to win these voters is to tell them: your mothers, fathers, sons, daughters and spouses will return under my administration, and will be given their due compensation and care in exchange for their courageous service.
Done and done.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]Yes, clearly Keith Olbermann hates smart women. That's why he has Doctor Rachel Maddow, PhD on his show all the time.
Please find a dictionary and see what it has to say about the psychological term "projection."

What does it matter to you what she has a PhD in? She has it, and that's a laudable accomplishment for anyone, man or woman. I believe it is in Political Science, which makes her more qualified than you or I to discuss politics, I suppose.
I defend Olbermann because I think attacking him is unfair and dimwitted.
"You people.." are pissed that he didn't line up behind Clinton. Sorry, it was her election to lose, and she lost it. What else can we say?
I assume that this talk of putting her on the ticket as VP is part of the bargaining phase of the stages of grief. Please push fast forward and get to the acceptance phase, for the good of the nation.
