[Read the article: I Like to Watch]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Hi Heather! I can't wait for the irony of this weeks' "people are dying, kill your TV" idiot.

[Read the article: Fred Hiatt on the noble glories of occupation]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Out in days, just like we went in. Now, I for one agree with Phillip Allen. That's why my first choice was Gravel, then Kucinich, then Dodd, and you know the rest.
Obama won't be out of Iraq any time soon, I know that, I'm not stupid. But he won't be in Syria and Iran too, like American Likudists Clinton and McCain (who will, maybe for kicks, re-invade Vietnam just out of spite).
As per, let's see, Mona, to some extent LWM, Shooter, ProWar.. Iraq is war for oil, primarily. Its other things (a proxy war of Israel's choosing, a war industry boondoggle, a glory grab, proving to your dad that you are tougher by winning a second term, etc). It is, however, not Dafur or Somalia or Burma or China or wherever there are legitimate human rights atrocities (Gitmo?). So, there goes the argument that Iraq was in any way an act of altruism.
The "coalition of the willing" were bribed and cajoled (and perhaps a little bit extorted). This war was started with absolutely no authority that I recognize entirely. We need to get out, now.

All things being subjective..
[Read the article: Hillary Clinton's big, brass ... fortitude]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Clinton's vast knowledge, flawless reasoning, and spectacular governing record blow Obama out of the water. Please. He doesn't have the brains to make policy. His 'new politics' are old liberal cliches, credit he's taken for other's legislation, and Clinton retreads. And he can't even get those right.
I see. That whore bloodied her hands with almost a million Iraqis and that is good judgement? Whore.. look it up. I'm using the metaphorical sense of the word, someone who sold out their ideals.
But I'm not sure Clinton had any ideals to begin with. WalMart.. Goldwater.. This campaign..
She's not a feminist. No feminist I know would put up with so much cheating, and then profit from it politically. I mean, Hillary who? Who is she without Bill? Just another corporate lawyer figuring out how to take money out of our pockets and put it in China's. A Republican, probably.
Skills, intelligence? Sure, sure. But there's no there there, you know what I mean? No spark. Nothing. Just ambition. Sometimes that's all you need.
Not this time around.
4000 dead and counting. If it weren't for the secret service, we should all be out there dumping pig's blood on her doorstep. Her's and every other Democrat who voted for this insane war. Every day, until it ends.
No, I'll pass. She's no feminist. She's no progressive. She's just no good.

@Kate
[Read the article: Hillary Clinton's big, brass ... fortitude]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I think I explained very well just what I meant by it. I can't help it that you are too stupid and racist to understand English.
Real people have died. That whore sold out and is a war profiteer. Pig blood bubble bath!
Please go over to Glenn Greenwald's column for a picture if an actual infant, dead, from US bombing. I'm sure even you can't argue that a two year old was an insurgent. Maybe you can argue that, given a few years, he would have been, so, fete accomplis, but although you are a reprehensible hatefull little cracker, no one is that bad? Right?
Oh, wait. Hillary Clinton and her war vote.

I hate all of you
[Read the article: Hillary Clinton's big, brass ... fortitude]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I don't speak for Obama.
You know the famous saying.. "I never voted for anyone, but I've voted against lots of people."
People who profit from war are immoral. People who are anti-labor, immoral. Racist. Immoral. Sexist. Immoral. Haters. Immoral.
I am not perfect. I'm immoral. But I know a loser when I see it, and I protect my balls. And the best way to not have my balls blown up is to not have blood thirsty mobs of avenging whomever we bomb and exploit and kill and rob coming after me, in my nice apartment, on my nice hill, with my nice view, my macbook, my flat screen. That's what's important to me: me.
So, do I vote for the crazy man who wants to bomb a country that has done nothing to us, or the cynical and conniving little schemer who says she wont, she promises, fingers crossed behind her back, or do I vote for the guy who, in a speech before we even went into Iraq said: "guys, this is a bad idea."
And it was. And in a perfect world, we'd all give each other teddy bears and back-rubs and Dennis Kucinich would be president and the Browns would win the Super Bowl and the sky would rain candy.
So, I make a choice. I choose to support the guy who is least likely to get some zealot coming for my balls. Its a gamble, but, I can reward someone else's good qualities even if I lack them myself.
Now, I think you're an asshole Kate, and I'm sure you think I am one too. But the difference between you and I is that I'm right and you're stupid.

[Read the article: Fred Hiatt on the noble glories of occupation]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]No, I do not mean to entirely conflate you or LWM with avowed sociopaths Shooter and ProWar, however to point out, perhaps, that I am far left of the four of your stances about intervention (and probably even left of Greenwald in this case).
Consensus gives weight to authority, and authority in killing must be absolute or close to it. That is why I oppose the death penalty, making me more pro-life than many Republicans.
So, consensus must inform these interventions, and we have the UN, a body whose authority should be augmented. Its an imperfect body, and reforms need to be made. But, one man, or six men, or even just one nation cannot unilaterally decide to attack another.
Without consensus, authority, sovereignty, debate and compassion we are, quite literally, hairless apes.
So, I don't know the answer to your question, other than to say, "we blew it, we need to do better next time." I'll sit back and wait for Shooter to call me a communist (fair is fair, I called him a sociopath).
