About once a week I use Kosher salt to brine meat. In honor of Passover, I did a pork tenderloin. Thank you, Jewish faith, for your contribution to my dinner.

I do not understand how Kristol ends up on the Daily Show so often when, by Jon Stewart's own admission, Kristol is never "right about anything" [paraphrasing]. I wish the Daily Show would stop giving him and McCain such a large sounding board, but to be fair, there is more "fairness" and "balance" between Stewart and Colbert for 4 hours a week than there is in an entire month of Fox News.

I just read that former President Carter has returned from Damascus, visiting in defiance to a US-led boycott of Hamas, with the good news that Hamas is willing to accept a peaceful settlement with its neighbors. Of course, the US government, not Bush, Rice, or any of its Zionist sock puppets in the media are interested in dealing with anyone unwilling to totally bend over and take it from the extreme right wing of Israel.

Don't expect this story to get much play. Maybe if Carter had gone bowling in Syria..

The sweat of laid off workers is a nice touch.

And the blood of their children, volunteering for an army that no longer can be counted on to live up to the promise of paying for secondary education (or health care, or provide sufficient armor).

So, to say that I personally find great "chutzpah" in HRC trying to defend the notion that Obama is somehow elitist after her triangulatory vote on the AUMF dooming and/or crippling thousands of children of working low-income families is.. well, actually, it blinds me with rage.

I guess we get to see just how smart the voters in PA really are tomorrow.

Comedian William Kristol, who advocated and still advocates -- no, holds up as a great triumph -- our unmitigated disaster in Iraq wants to invade Iran too.

Someone mentioned that Switzerland, a modern European democracy, had a "jewish" president. Well, I think that even Billy K. (grade 5) and I could agree that it would be nice to see that happen in Iran. What I know that Billy K. (grade 5) doesn't is that the last few times we tried to force a democracy on someone, bad things happened; it follows to reason that it won't work in Iran either.

I like to believe that Iran is half-way there. The ogliarchs/thecrats are aging out. I believe the children are our future, Billy K. (grade 5). The worst thing we could possibly do is to create a new, energized generation of America haters.

Also, if I was jewish, or had family in Israel, I would rather Billy K. (grade 5) shut the fsck up and stop "inciting to riot." Of course, my Jewish-American compatriots have generally expressed this sentiment, although they are often drowned out by the voices of Billy K. (grade 5), Jonie G. (grade 1), and Davey S. (pre-school).

"ad homien personal attack" (thanks Anonymoose for that particularly glib phrase)

I missed that the first time. I think I woke my roommate LOLing when you pointed that out.

Had I not heard about this on Salon.com (I long ago canceled my subscription to the Sunday New York times), I suppose I would have heard about it on last nights "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart."

Is against the spirit of democracy, and the spirit of what it means to be a Democrat. She does not deserve the nomination, and if she gets it, and I am forced to vote for her, it will be with great sadness and regret.

And when they swear in John McCain, I will wonder if there wasn't something more I could have done to stop the train-wreck, the absolute hubris, and the unmitigated, unpatriotic disaster that was Hillary Clinton and the 2008 Democratic National Convention.

And it has been for a while. Clinton came in on a pedestal and she couldn't stay on. Now she's just waging a war of attrition because she is a terrible human being, a petty, jealous, covetous and arrogant she-tyrant with a chip on her shoulder. No, Obama doesn't need to come off the pedestal, he needs to stomp her fingers until she drops. I for one am sick of her bullshit, and I'm sick of your foggy-headed defense of her behavior. Her campaign needs to be squashed like the pest it is.

    Clinton's.

Also, how about the gumption of Clinton to demand YET ANOTHER debate! Huh? After the last one? Yay! More race baiting!

  • Its the campaigning, stupid.

When will you peole admit that its not sexism which drives most of the negative coverage of the Clinton campaign but the campaign's nauseating tactics.

To wit - it is not that she's a woman, but that she is /that/ woman, using /those/ techniques and overstaying their welcome.

Second, the race is not split down the middle, as Olbermann so deftly pointed out on Wednesday. Instead, you and the rest of the 'Clinton is a victim' club latched on to a throwaway metaphor and ignored the substance of the argument: can Clinton capture enough delegates to cinch the nomination.

The answer, of course, is no.
