@wewontgetfooledagain

I do not like what Barack Obama has done to the Clinton’s reputation, so if you detect some anger in my posts that may be why.

What prey tell has the Obama campaign "done to" Clinton's reputation? Mark Penn, Bill Clinton, Terry McAuliff and Hillary herself seem to be doing a bang up job themselves.

I think the only viable argument the Clinton camp can make is "if Obama is so great, how come he hasn't left Clinton in the dust yet?" To which the answers are myriad and plausible: all thing being equal, Obama /would/ have already left Clinton far in the dust had they started on even footing. But Clinton and her surrogates have blundered a stunning financial and recognition lead since last Summer because SHE IS NOT A GOOD CANDIDATE IN COMPARISON WITH SENATOR OBAMA.

And Obama doesn't go crying to Chris Matthews whenever someone calls him a bad name. Clinton's self-perpetuating "I'm a victim" schtick is nauseating and annoying.

Nauseated and annoyed, that is how I would sum up my feelings toward the Clinton campaign. Women deserve a better human being for America's first woman president. Are you listening, Allison Janey, Mary McDonnel or Geena Davis?

Fair and Balanced

I do sometimes see and wonder about accusations about Stewart and the other being "just as biased" for the other side. Could they be valid?

No. What Fox and their ilk spew on an hourly basis is frequently, demonstratibly, blatantly and flagrantly false. Same with CNN, MSNBC, the New York Times, Time Magazine, etc. What Stewart and Colbert do is (1) comedy, and therefor editorial, and (2) has a firmer basis in truth than the 6 O'clock news.

Bias? Yes. There is bias. Bias toward reality, something that the news has a real problem with.

@karenfinan

What is your point? Women are weak victims and need to be protected by affirmative action? Tell that to Tina Fey, or for that matter Rachel Maddow, an almost daily guest on Countdown and perhaps one of the sharpest political minds around today.

I wish there were more Tina Feys, (and I wish Sarah Silverman were funnier, but that's another matter). Hopefully, though, 30-Rock, the Sarah Silverman Show are a vanguard of a new resurgence of the female comic (whose golden era was the 1970s).

@katetex

Please, Matthews is deep in bromance with any deep voiced, Old English smelling manly man. It's not Obama's fault that he is a handsome man, but it is Matthews that he is a drooling closeted sycophant (caveat: of course there is nothing wrong with being gay, but at least be honest with yourself).

If anything, Obama's looks, demeanor and charisma have been a distraction -- but for a woman in her 60s, Clinton is handsome as well, distinctive and well spoken, at least to the extent that what comes out of her mouth isn't the gumballed murmurings of our pre-dementia post-alcoholic addled Commander in Chief.

The problem is what she says, now how she says it (well, that too). The transparency of Clinton's avarice informs how I see her, and I am dumbfounded that not everyone else can. Have the sensitive, empathetic liberals been replaced by worn-down pragmatists?

Pragmatism didn't cut it in 2000 when Gore picked the Senator from Tel Aviv as his running mate, a DINO (Democrat in Name Only) even before becoming a traitor to his party, and it didn't work in 2004 when John Kerry, by every measurable metric a man better, smarter, more courageous and decent by orders of magnitude than Bush tried to take the high road and ignore being lynched by a party of 527 knuckle-draggers.

Clinton can run as long as she wants to, but each day nudges McCain closer to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. She cannot beat McCain. We need to put our chips on Obama. Can't you see this is true?

Clinton will not win. Maybe she can try again in 2016.

Cliton Chief Strategist Resigns

Inexplicably, Clinton still in the race.

Why?

The damage is done. For the love of God, country and all that is right, please, stop the bleeding and drop out, Hillary.

We the people

Yes, they have come out in droves, groups that do not generally tend to vote. They have come out largely to stop the Clinton machine. And if they fail, I fear many of them may never vote again.
