No... death threats can be in written form. That was not a death threat. Even what Misha does skirts the line. People make a big deal about Ann Coulter, and rightly so, but she is no Grover Norquist. That man has political power equal to Karl Rove but is way below the radar. I have no problem with the fact that he may not be able to appear in public without a retinue of security. Even Coulter can't go anywhere without it, but mainly it's there for her because she has an aversion to troublesome questions. In Norquist's case, someone should shoot him. (That's not a death threat, just an opinion). Maybe he will be indicted soon, like his Buddy Abramoff. I wouldn't waste a bullet on Coulter, (and lead is cheap). Pies are fine. Perhaps you will find the "Abramoff-Norquist e-mails" entertaining. Google that without quotation marks.

After 2004 Norquist compared minority Democrats in Congress to a bunch of neutered farm animals. Once snipped, he said, they can be counted on to accept comfortably "the finality of their powerlessness." Google him and learn more about him. He is a very dangerous man. Paul Gigot of the Wall Street Journal, called Norquist “the V.I. Lenin of the anti-tax movement.” Lenin got an ice pick in the head down in Mexico. Next time you feel like worrying about Norquist, or any of these criminal bastards, think of his plan to drown the government in a bathtub. Then think of New Orleans and you will get an idea of what that looks like. We still have no accurate accounting of how many people died.

I'm comfotable with the fact that I am a bit of an "extremist". I have not spoken to any Republicans in my own family in over ten years, including my own mother. They can't take a joke either.

Col. Lang isn't "the media". He is one of the few people CNN has on occasionally that is worth watching and listening to. If it deals with the ME, and you want to understand it, read his blog. He never drinks the kool-aid and he won't serve it to you. If you Google him you can find out more about him than he lets on in his bio. He's being rather modest there. I suspected a propaganda coup for the Iranians. Col. lang agrees. Our current leaders and planners and strategists are just no match for theirs. Perhaps the best military in the world is no better than it's weakest link, and if that happens to be the C in C, you are screwed.

The Propaganda of the Deed
The Iranians have now achieved a major victory in the "information operation" war that they are waging to reach an acknowledged position as "standard bearers" of Islam.
Their propaganda line maintains that the West is degenerate and morally weak, that Western soldiers are cowards and not to be feared, that Westerners fear death above all else.
Every takfiri and jihadi in the world, whether actual or potential will take note and his or her behavior will be influenced by this message.
The poorly conceived campaign in Iraq is, nevertheless, quite real. It is being fought by soldiers whom we Americans value highly. Their safety will be directly affected by what has happened in this incident.
One of the outraged Brits who has written to me over this described the actions of these servicepeople as unimportant because they are "lowly marines." We do not think of our soldiers as "lowly." pl
