He wrote a book. Apparently that makes it ok not only for him to now be on all these shows, but also for everyone to let him blather on unchallenged like he's just talking about his book and not furiously spinning his own past. His interview on NPR this morning is what's keeping me from donating to them.

Why is this man interviewed? He's consistantly advocated the overthrow of the American government. He wants to "drown it in a bathtub". Advocating the overthrow of your nation is considered treason, no? Throw this bastard in jail. His idiocy and the Republican scum that follow it are responsible for the nation having the enormous debt payments it has. The man cares for nothing but his own pocketbook and is willing to destroy America to gain a few extra bucks. Why does the right hate America?

Any time fraud through the voting machines is mentioned, you can be sure the local republican trolls will show up with some variant on "Oh please, the voting machines aren't rigged. You lost, get over it."

Strange how they're screaming voter fraud the whole time. I always say, want to know how a republican is breaking the law or committing immoral acts? Look at what they're railing against.

The only reason they yell about people using "class-warfare rhetoric" is because it points out the class war they're waging. They complain about the language we use while they act.

Debra, I'm going to use small words here 'cause you've stated you don't understand the big ones. You've made no "reasoned argument", you've just repeated myth after myth concerning "liberal media". My favorite laughable thing you've said so far was:

I'd love to find one of these, instead we have people like Limbaugh who's fans proudly proclaim themselves "dittoheads". They wouldn't know a fact or reasoning if you beat them over their collective heads with it.

As for news networks "That'll be 1 for them, and only 6 or so for us."? If only! I'd love for there to be a liberal news network out there. Then again, to be fair you didn't say the others were "liberal", you just said they were "for us", so if your straw-man "us" is corporate stooges who suck up to conservatives, they you're right on! However, that is a far cry from liberals.

Oh, and I love that you claim that the "talking point" is to call you Hitler or some other "name" right after you reference Castro as your main "talking point".

That's a great way to illustrate the point that conservatives accuse others of what they're doing all along, not because others are actually doing it, but because that's all you know.

I mean what have liberals ever done? The New Deal, Winning WWII, the Marshal Plan, Medicare, Civil Rights, Working to hold corporations accountable, working to ensure there's no persuecution in the workplace, unions, the creation of the middle class, I could go on for hours. Thank goodness conservatives gave us all these things.

Iran-Contra, Watergate, The Iraq War, HUAC, The Great Depression. What do all those things have in common?

Before you go calling people cowards, how about you post as something other than "No Name Given", coward?

I didn't say Democrats gave us all those great things and Republicans gave us the horrible things, I said liberals gave us the great things and conservatives gave us the crap. I put it that way for a reason, but the conservative confabulators came in and immediately started trying to reference it by party. I don't care which party is doing it, my point is that liberalism has made the world a far better place and conservatism has been fighting against it. It doesn't matter what the Democratic Party of today would or would not do in a given circumstance, liberalism is what gave us these things and those ideals hold true to this day.

What you attribute to liberalism has no connection to liberalism outside the minds of conservatives who wish to impugn it. You're essentially making things up, taking whatever you don't like and saying "Liberalism done did it." What's next, volcanoes? Cancer? Alcoholism? Puberty? Dogs and cats living together?

It would be just as easy for me to make a list of bad things conservatism "caused", but it would serve little purpose and be just as ficticious.

You say "today's version of "liberalism" (which is really licentiousness)". What you're really upset with is licentiousness and as conservatives have shown over and over, they're just as good at it as liberals. Perversion is both in the eye of the beholder and knows no ideological bounds.
