Sen. Reid's crime

In any country worth troubling one's self about,

criticism of the leaders, civilian or military,

would be encouraged rather than denigrated.

Alas, we no longer live in that country.

We will pay for that lapse to the consternation

and condemnation of those who inherit the

clusterf**k we have allowed to take place.

Geezerfest

Man, they had to empty the political nursing home for this geezerfest, didn't they? Just what we need, a billionaire

threatening to throw the election if we don't play nice. Grandpa Broder almost dampened his Depends at the prospect, no doubt. Too bad they couldn't exhume Jeanne Kirkpatrick to jump out of the cake. Pitiful.

As a fifty-something white guy who grew up in Memphis

and Atlanta during the fifties and sixties, my response

to Rev. Wright is: "Preach it Brother!" The white churches

in the South weren't addressing questions of racism then and

they, mostly, aren't addressing them now.
