If the Shoe Were on the Other Foot, I Would Feel the Same

anger and frustration as Clinton supporters. Indeed, there was a time in the recent past when I decided that I'd stay home before I'd ever vote for Clinton. But the more I learn about McCain, the more I want to throw up. That old coot is dangerous in so many ways it makes my head spin. For instance, reproductive choice or not is really a decision for the young women now. Its not fair for us oldsters to use our voting power to cram "right to life" dogma down their throats because we didn't get our way.

Dupont raised their polymer prices by 20% today. The ripple effect, on top of every other ripple effect will have a significant impact on most peoples' lifestyle.

People in the US are a laughing stock and objects of contempt for most people living outside the country. It is embarrassing to travel abroad as an American. A McCain victory is not going to improve that situation.

So, if the shoe were on the other foot, I would vote for Clinton because she could not possibly be as bad as McCain.

Its Over

The Huffington Post is reporting that Bill Clinton made the following statement this morning:

"I want to say also that this may be the last day I'm ever involved in a campaign of this kind. I thought I was out of politics, 'til Hillary decided to run. But it has been, one of the greatest honors of my life to go around and campaign for her for president," said Clinton as he began his speech.

The Huff Post is also reporting that Mrs. Clinton is going to give a speech in front of donors tomorrow night. It is expected that she will suspend her campaign and endorse Obama.

Advice Well Taken Cheryl

Its time to focus on the real race now. We have got to soundly defeat McChimpy or any positive future for our country is gone. I think things are that serious.

Last week, the Asia Times reported that Bushco plans to bomb Iran in August. In light of Scott McCellan's revelation that Bushco doesn't discriminate between party politics and national interest, it is likely they would bomb just before or during the Democratic convention.

Obama, the Party and the Country needs to prepare for the worst. I think Bush is now both stupid and insane. I just hope he can be kept in check until he is kicked out.

McCain is a senile moron. I want to see the You Tube video featuring an elderly North Vietnamese army officer stating and providing evidence that McCain sang like a bird in "prison" camp. I want to see the SOB thoroughly swiftboated.

Pawlenty Is an Ass-Clown

I hope McSmirky chooses him for VP. He is a terrible governor. His agenda contributed to the bridge collapse, roads like plowed fields, and a school system which used to be one of the best in the country but is now just one more hillbilly hell.

Pawlenty is the idiot who declared that the state's corn production would make Minnesota the "Saudi Arabia of renewable foods."

The Knuckle-Draggers Are Thick Tonight

Salon really does need a filter where readers can filter out designated posters. I think that it is only going to get worse now that we are in the general campaign. There are a lot of very intelligent and funny postings on Salon and I usually learn as much from the postings as from the articles. However, I am seeng too many postings that are the political equivalent of the penis elongation e-mails. I can get those things out of my view and I'd like to do the samething done here. I'd even be willing to work with Salon IT guys to get it done.

Creating Stepford Government

Bush transformed agencies ranging from the Justice Department to the Patent Office by forcing experienced, competent professional people out and replacing them with Bimbo Barbies. These creatures are typically blond haired graduates from a Kristian school, in their late 20's to early 30's, and have items on their resume related to their social schedules as undergraduates. They speak and look like Minnie Mouse and probably have smaller brains.

One of these morons is the Ass't Commissioner of Patents and Trademarks. Needless to say, she has no technical background whatsoever. Another of them, in the Justice Dept., tried to argue for the government in a patent case, before the Court of Appeals (not yet transformed). This idiot thought that she could make up science and present it as fact to the justices, some of whom have PhD's. They thoroughly bitch-slapped her.

Clinton Should Have Taken the More Traditional Route to Power

Clinton showed in the campaign that she could and did learn from experience. Instead of living vicariously through her husband for decades, and then trying to leverage his power into the White House, she should have been running for much lesser offices and working her way up. That experience would have taught her empathy, public speaking, complex problem solving skills, etc.

What killed her chances in my mind were her votes for the Iraq war and giving the president carte blanche to attack Iran and her utter lack of preparation and experience for the job. It was reflected in her lousy campaign management skills.

What impressed me though, was that she did learn from her mistakes.
