This Crap Is a Sign of How Clinton Would Run an Administration
[Read the article: Ferraro resigns from Clinton campaign]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Clinton wants to win so badly she is willing to destroy the Democratic Party. She stopped talking about real and extremely serious issues long ago and her attacks on Obama have forced him into the mud too.
Our economy is "in the tank." Serious economists speculate a finite and scary probability of a depression. The Fed is doing everything possible to hyperinflate the currency. Doesn't she know that?
I am convinced that if Clinton were elected President, she would use her power to go after her political enemies, while letting the United States become a bona fide third world country. That is what she has done in this campaign.
I think a lot of people have voted for her because they think that Bill Clinton can reverse the economy's death spiral. However, this is not the 1990's, Bill Clinton has turned into an old man, and it will be the Missus in charge. She will take the power crafted by Cheney and use all of it, for her own personal use.

Is Anybody Reading the Financial Pages?
[Read the article: Obama and Clinton plan to cool it]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]We are perilously close to a depression. One of the biggest investment banks in the world, Bear Stearns, will be gone by Monday. Citibank and Merrill Lynch are next--to be swept away by too much leverage. This credit/liquidity crisis is sucking the world's wealth into a vacuum caused by global greed and stupidity, at the speed of light.
What does this have to do with Obama's and Clinton's plans to reduce our impact on global warming? There won't be enough capital to implement these plans.
I fear that when this wealth destruction ends, a lot fewer people will be driving, or living in homes, or eating regularly. That, in itself, will aid in reducing carbon dioxide generation.
I hope very much that I can look back on this posting in six months and realize that it was completely "over the top." Today, however, the situation looks ominous.

Mark Penn Looks Like a Typical American
[Read the article: Cashing in on the Clinton campaign]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]A fat, greedy, arrogant and incompetent pig. That is our image around the world. We are in such trouble and no mercy will be shown because of swine like Penn, Bush, Cheney, McCain, the Clintons, and the CEO's of most large US corps and banks. We are all tainted with their stink.

Bitter About the Destruction of Good Government
[Read the article: The "bitter" vote]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I am bitter and ashamed that jackasses of my generation did everything they could to destroy the Justice Department and United States Patent Office. I never thought I would live to see the day that I and most every other patent attorney in the United States would have to go to war against the Patent Office! We did it using the battlefield of lawyers, in this case, the Federal District Court of Virginia. The case was Tafas/GSK vs. Dudas (aka Dumass). Many of us filed amicus briefs in support of Dr. Tafas. The PTO and their evil corporate handlers, including Microsoft, Intel and Cisco, were enjoined from implementing rules which would have destroyed the Patent system
The good thing that came out of this is that we practitioners learned how to work together to defeat raw corruption. The bad thing is that we had to do it at all and worse, we will have to face it again.

McCain Is NOT Going to Win the Election
[Read the article: In speech, Obama looks to be a uniter]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Even die hard Repubs like my brother will not vote for McCain. They can see that McCain is nothing but a senile Bush. Obama is going to be the Dem candidate, and, I think, the next President of the United States. My brother and other repubs like him will either vote for Obama, or, more likely, will sit it out.
The only people who will vote for McCain are oldster, racist, mean, vindictive Clintonistas.

Clinton Campaign Is $20M to $30M in Debt
[Read the article: Clinton makes another electability argument]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The Financial Times has a report today that the Clinton campaign is $20-$30 million in debt. Over $11 million of that is money she lent her campaign. I think she is hanging on to get some kind of relief. It is a sort of extortion of the Obama campaign warchest to pay her off and get her out so she shuts the FU.
The sad irony is that it may be the small contributions of people Clinton does not even regard as counting for anything who "save her bacon."

Its Not Just About Cars
[Read the article: Who's the superpower now?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Our culture will be known as the Age of Oil. It has been the lifeblood of transport of people and goods, growing and harvesting of food, heating, cooling, and all of the extras like entertainment and communication. Virtually every invention patented in the 20th and early 21st century has implicitly or explicitly assumed as cheap and limitless supply of energy.
We are going to have to "change on a dime" to survive as a culture. We will be really lucky if this is not resolved in a terrible war of attrition--where a paring down of the world population is the objective.
