"Obama's followers want us to believe they are, it's pretty disspiriting to watch and listen to them buy into popular media-bashing of the Clintons without any critical analysis of it. If they did, they would know how much Hillary Clinton has accomplished. More important, they would understand how that experience translates so seamlessly into the challenges we face now"

Ok, fair enough, maybe I don't. I'll be honest, I think Clinton was a mediocre president, and I dont really know any great accomplishments about Hillary Clinton. I think Clinton gets a lot of praise simply because he is the ONLY democrat to serve 2 terms since FDR. but anyway....

If I'm wrong, you need to TELL ME WHAT IT IS. All I ever hear about is all the super awesome stuff Hillary Clinton has done, and she would be ready to go on day one, but with no examples.

Just saying it over and over again, does not make it true to me, but I'll take an agnostic stance on it....please let me know how much Hillary Clinton has accomplished and how it translates so seamlessly into the challenges we face now.

Just because you say it a million times is not going convince me, so please prove it. If you prove to me, I'd be happy to vote for her.

"Only because of the color of his skin does the Democratic party nominate him. His positions are not well-known, nor are they well-articulated."

Which Obama are you thinking of....The one who is running for Pres, does not fit that description. You should try doing even a little bit of research first. If you like I could e-mail you about 100 pages of his positions, accomplishments, and ...they are well articulated to boot.

Or you could just go to his web site and see them for yourself

Again, what I mean by clinton having been a mediocre president, is not in comparison to only to a republican president. The thing is, we have had half a century of BAD presidents. Just because I'm in a room full of rapists, don't make me a saint.

I agree that a democratic president will be better, and any democratic president would have made the country much better economically. However, I think Clinton missed the chance to be Great. There was a lot I did not like about his admin, especially in regards to foreign policy and trade.

The problem is, there are not really many democratic presidents in the last 50 years to compare him to, and the bar has been set pretty low.

  • I always thought is was insulting to black people

to call a white person the "first black president".... and I still do.

The fact that they were not able to campaign in these states (FL, MI) is a good reason to dismiss these primaries.

The way I see it is that if any of these candidates had a problem with the DNC stripping frolida of delegates, they should have brought it up then...doing it now seems manipulative.

Since these are the rules that all the candidates agreed to then...those are the rules..full stop.

You might want to to some fact checking of your own....

just because you repeat the lie over and over again, dont make it true.

Obama's accomplishments are more substantial and varied than Clinton suggests. And he has a longer record in elected office than she does

yes, Obama was a community organizer...Obama moved to Chicago for a low-paying job as a community organizer. He worked with poor families on the South Side to get improvements in public housing, particularly the removal of asbestos. Fought for student summer jobs and a program to keep at-risk children from dropping out of school.

More importantly, say those who worked with Obama, he showed people how to organize and confront powerful interests.

but that is not like the only thing he ever did.

He was a civil rights attorney and taught at one of the nation's premier universities. Obama spent several years focusing on the law, both as an attorney at a small firm specializing in civil rights and as a lecturer on constitutional law at the University of Chicago.

Obama was elected to the Illinois state Senate in 1996, when Democrats were in the minority. He helped pass complicated measures in the Illinois legislature on the death penalty, racial profiling, health care and more. Obama also helped set up Illinois' "KidCare" program that provided health care to children in families that did not qualify for Medicaid.

In Washington, he has worked with Republicans on nuclear proliferation, government waste and global warming, amassing a record that speaks to a fast start while lacking the heft of years of service. Among some of many examples, He teamed with Sen. Richard Lugar, R-Ind., to study the dangers of nuclear proliferation and pass legislation meant to keep nuclear material from falling into the hands of terrorists. Obama also joined with Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., after Hurricane Katrina to improve oversight of federal spending.

  • Ill miss John at the debate

He's a good man, I hope the nominee (Obama) puts him on the ticket.

  • Off the top of my head, I can think of 5very big things to me

[Read the article: Obama's the most liberal senator?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

    1) Hillary Clinton says talking to leaders of unfriendly countries without preconditions is “irresponsible” and “naïve”

Barack Obama says “Not talking doesn’t make us look tough, it makes us look arrogant”

We need to start opening up these channels on day one..we can't wait 2 more years.

2)Hillary Clinton voted for war in Iraq without reading NIE.

Barack Obama had no access to NIE, but spoke out against war based on own judgment.

    That says a lot.

4)Hillary Clinton failed to unequivocally rule out interrogation tactics “that aren’t technically torture” (ie. waterboarding) even, John McCain has done that.

    5) Obama said he would vote to abolish mandatory minimum sentences for federal crimes. Clinton called ending mandatory minimum sentences a controversial position.
