I'll share a secret with you

Although it is an open secret around here. First off I was home schooled, well I was raised on a small island in the south pacific, the year was 1971. The Island of Marinduque, had the mine site where my father took a job. We lived in the middle of the jungle on an island that was a total of 26 miles around. We were home schooled, my parents used the Calvert Course, my mom taught us but we obtained our education by correspondence, with certified teachers correcting our work, everything was done by mail. So from 3rd grade until 7th grade I was home schooled. We moved into Manila when I started the 7th grade, this is where I finished HS, at the International School, Manila Philippines.

Fast forward to the 1990's. Our daughter, our youngest child entered kindergarten and through the third grade her teachers were unable to teach her to read. Her oldest brother was in Catholic School and our next son is just one year older than his sister so he was in the fourth grade. Since she was unable to read at the end of the third grade I decided to Calvert Course the our two youngest. I did it for four years. Then back to regular school. I taught her to read in two months and yes I supplemented their education with private art lessons, club sports, etc. When they returned to regular school they were far ahead of their peers.

Three Kids, Two Boys, One Girl

I let them make their own decisions. I have to think back if my boys ever had a doll, my oldest who is now 23 had Bob the Builder, but he didn't really play with him, he just dragged him around the house for about a year and that was it. Our second son, now 19, never had a doll but had his favorite Wild Thing Stuffed Toy, I guess that is a doll of some sort, but he used to attack his sister with it! Not in a mean way but in a wild way. They did make guns out of everything though, legos, sticks, whatever could look like a gun to them and they made swords out of everything, and I used to make them capes too, so they could be super heroes!

Our daughter of course wanted to draw and write and had all kinds of dolls and never made a gun out of anything. She also made a habit of catching bumbles bees in my canning jars and then letting them go! She was hilariously funny, well even now that she is 18, she is funny.

Gender neutral isn't a necessary thing, what is necessary is raising your children to accept people for who they are, nothing more and nothing less. But gender neutrality seems I don't know a little weird if you ask me, but maybe it never affected me because I was in my 20's when we had our children and we all grew up together, gender neutrality didn't seem like a goal, just raising compassionate kids who would go to college and get a job, and maybe have a family was the goal.

OH NOES, NOT FACTS.. philspectersmist told me he is everything, a scientist, a mathematician and a computer scientist. And yet he sill not site his peer reviewed scholarly articles or those authored by another who supports his views. I want to see data, what type of analysis was done and over what period of time the study and experiments took place. So to me that makes him just another lying Republican, red herrings and all. Oh and Michael Crichton knows everything, and also too. :D

I missed the Show last evening

Because when I heard Oxy-Contin man would be on I decided to watch Red/Green reruns. Red in reruns is funnier than Rush ever will be.

You don't come here much do you? No, otherwise you may have run into me before, I have sharp words for all Lying HYPO-CHRISTIANS. I never met an academic who didn't want everyone to read their books, journal articles, etc, the book by Michael Crichton is a novel, not a primary source. Within academia the primary source carries all the weight, novels are for literature class. A novel, that is great, that is hilarious. You Fail Miserably.

If you cannot direct me towards your peer reviewed scholarly articles with data included, then I will call you what you actually are, you know A LYING HYPO-CHRISTIAN REPUBLICAN. You Fail.

spectralmist

Please direct me to your peer reviewed scholarly journal articles with data, do not direct me to a novel written by Michael Crichton, that is intellectually lazy on your part if you are an academic.

Allow me to ask you one more time, what in fact are you credentials? Are you a practicing Atmospheric Chemist? Please direct me towards your scholarly peer reviewed articles that include data in order to consider your "theories" about Climate Change.

thank you.

I don't think cabdriver can answer you, I think he is doing the dishes, probably praying to his Zombie Jesus at the same time.

spectralmist

You are an Atmospheric Chemist then? Please site your scholarly peer reviewed journal articles with the data to prove your assertions about climate change. If you are using the fact you are a democrat and a liberal as proof, you fail.
