Okay Back to Health Reform

Joan's main thesis is that we must fight back and learn from what the Clinton Adminstration already learned about this attack machine that has set out to derail health reform ONE MORE FUCKING TIME. They've done it before they are doing it now as evidenced by this thread. Her point and Pres. Clinton's point is we have to move beyond all that stuff and get down to not allowing the right wing nuts to derail this process. Bill Clinton is correct in that this opposition to health reform would be there regardless, if Hillary were President she would be experiencing the same thing, which is true, but the attacks against her would also have a certain amount of sexism attached to them.

Joan's piece does not say anything about rehashing last years primary and election, most of us have moved beyond that, we are here now, democrats elected overwhelmingly, so we have to keep the pressure up on our representatives. DFA of course is doing a great job, I know OFA is trying but...

This is my one huge disappointment with Pres. Obama, he didn't leave Howard Dean in place, and without him the DNC is old again, because it is again run by regular pols. DFA though is gearing up for a great fight, because in the end this is the one fight we have to win.

We cannot allow the wingnuts to control the conversation any longer. Don't forget to support progressive candidates at ACT BLUE.

Original article: The Facebook divorce

Is the FB Divorce

Like a Haitian Divorce? "Steely Dan"

Babs and Clean Willie were in love they said

So in love the preacher's face turned red

Soon everybody knew the thing was dead

He shouts, she bites, they wrangle through the night

She go crazy

Got to make a getaway

Papa say

Oh - no hesitation

No tears and no hearts breakin'

No remorse

Oh - congratulations

This is your Haitian Divorce

It all the same on FB or not.

All Democratic Senators who object to the Public Option

Will be subjected to the same treatment. We realize now that money talks in this world. I think we used to just let the opportunities pass us by as progressives, well that just isn't the case any longer. I gave money to this specific DFA Campaign. I will give more in the future.

Howard Dean's Organization knows what to do and how to raise the funds. The Public Option will be in the final bill.

Relevant and Warranted GZ

Before I quit posting for this thread, do you realized how you demean yourself GZ when you seek to demean others by how you have assessed their looks. How relevant was your question to the conversation some folks are trying to have on this thread. You want everyone to assess your racism quota, which none of us know anything about, in truth. But your entire little screed was an example of misogyny. Can you see that? Your writing is an example of misogyny because you thought it warranted to tell us list black women you think are ugly as coyotes, or some such retort. I still don't know the relevance of your comment to Joan's column, because it is no way relevant to this conversation.

I don't know what you think of you anymore. You tritely answer me, "well if saying a woman is good looking is sexist". What an utterly disingenuous and disappointing response.

I am sure your next retort will be, that I am fat and ugly.

That's all.

groundzero

stating women are ugly makes you and ass not the other way around and you know it.

Monday, September 28, 2009 10:21 AM

PS Groundzero

Your opinion of what other women look like you forgot

z. you are just a regular misogynistic ASS, who thinks his opinion of what women look like is warranted or relevant to the conversation.

That's all.

groundzero

How very sexist of you groundzero.

APC2007

How many children do you have? I do have a M.Ed, and M.E.S. and BA's in Philosophy, Political Science and History, with minors in applied mathematics and computer science. Of course our daughter had a learning disability, Do you know what that is? I quit my job to take over teaching her so she could learn to read. In kindergarten, she was in all day Kindergarten, just because she could read some words didn't mean she could read with fluidity and comprehension.

Thanks for blaming me. Asshole.

Like I said previously, educational research shows, children do better when their parents are involved in their education. Period. Irrefutable.

unschooler

OMG you are so right about those helicopter parents. I worked in college admissions for years, those parents are hell to deal with and they are almost always professionals. But whatever, to each his own.

Home schooling can be great, you just have to be prepared, public school can also be great and so can private school. We know one thing about education looking at all the research, the child that does better has more involved parents. Period.

Original article: I love my socialist kidney

Northern Bandit

Is what we call a paid shill, they come here under the auspices of having had "experiences" in Canada. They follow the same formula each time, how bad socialized medicine is for people. But Northern Bandit is merely paid by insurance companies to come and bad mouth systems that work. Just so we know what we are working with here. Northern Bandit, Liar, Paid Insurance Shill

Bill Clinton

He is correct. He is correct about it all.

And so are you Joan.

That's all.
