Hiking at an airport

Hmm, so what is the real story here? Will the governor show up today like his office says? Where did he go and why are they lying about it? At first I thought rehab, now I think elective plastic surgery. hahahahahaha

@JeepgirlJA

So you accept his excuse even though it is winter in Argentina, and the coastal drive that he speaks of is less than 2 miles long. Reaching coastal resorts to the south requires a drive of nearly four hours on an inland highway with views of endless cattle ranches. To the north is a river delta of islands reached only by boat. That is according to the AP.

Of course from a friends personal experience the "coastline" in BA is completely featureless and incredibly boring. When residents of BA "go to the beach" they drive many hours away to Mar del Plata, which is on the Atlantic coast (or they hop on a boat to Montevideo, Uruguay.) But right now it's in the low 50's during the day and the mid 30's at night on the coast.

Then of course the fact is if you ever travel overseas you need these things called a Visa. I am pretty sure you cannot obtain those in just an hour or two.

Why did the governor change his return flight? Why land in Atlanta instead of S. Carolina? If you were just heading to Argentina for a quick weekend and it was no big deal why not just fly home on your existing itinerary, it costs money to change your flight.

Sorry the Gov's excuses don't wash. I still think it is plastic surgery, it was pre-planned and he doesn't want anyone to know. It could be something else though and I sure am hoping we find out!

Awesome

Okay that was the best press conference ever. And another one bites the dust. Soon there will only be Dick Cheney to challenge Pres. Obama in 2012.

Five Days to break up

And in person in Argentina because there are no phones and it is hard to break up so it takes five days to break up...... what is it about this story that still doesn't make any sense?

LOVE, LOVE, Are you kidding me?

For all you posters who believe the governor is in Love, I beg to differ. If the governor was in love, he would have done the right thing, he would have sought his divorce before stepping out on his wife. Instead the governor decided he could have the best of both worlds, his wife and his job and his mistress, and in there somewhere his children. This is not love! This is simple lust, simple longing to escape present circumstances, simple affair material. Seriously! Love is different, but he didn't want to give up, even possibly being the VP candidate! Holy Shit, he even discussed that in his email! OMG! He has serious lust, but that lust is for himself, he is a typical self centered dude who figured he could get away with everything and have it all, the wife, the mistress, the children, the career, sorry Mark, I am pretty sure your wife ended your career dude, with the simple words: "I don't know where he is, do you? I haven't seen him since Thursday. No I am not worried".

Then I saw her deliver her statement to the press with a huge smile on her face, that statement told us all she kicked you out of the house two weeks ago, hmm. Your career is over Mark, and your wife doesn't give a rats ass, you cheated on her and she got your back. Karma is really a bitch isn't it.

And from what I can tell, your wife isn't taking you back. I for one do not blame her a bit.

And here is something you haven't thought of, if you get a divorce and you lose your social status as a politician your mistress isn't going to want you either. She was merely attracted to your political power, not you moron. Hahahahaha.

I do like your advice Cary, but

Because it is nice and good advice. I do think that if she is willing to give up her education to get a dead end job then she ought to try it. She is 18 and she has time to correct her mistakes. Sometimes we learn from our mistakes and we never make them again.

I understand her mother, her daughter is 18, I have an 18 year old daughter too, but she also has to understand that at 18 her daughter is an adult, severe consequences meted out simply because you do not like her choices in boyfriends lead to bad relationships. If the young woman were in trouble, she was flunking out of university, then I would say okay severe punishments are merited. This doesn't seem to be the case. The mom should make sure her daughter has access to birth control so she isn't pregnant before she finishes school. Her mother has to accept that her daughter is a normal human, meaning she is probably going to have sex with her boyfriend. It is hard to accept, but your children grow up and they :0 (says in a whispered tone) have sex. So I suggest family counseling, the woman should propose it to her mother so they can have some understanding of what is it like to have and be an adult in a parents house.
