I know in San Francisco Joan and even in Seattle Hand Gun Control is not a bad thing, but I am from Montana and hand guns are an important part of life there as well as rifles and shotguns etc. This ruling simply states a person can have a gun in their house, but they are not necessarily allowed to carry that gun around the city. That is a very limited ruling. We have to remember many folks believe the second amendment is a vital and necessary part of our civil liberties, so important it was made a part of the amendments to the Constitution, it stands apart from the 10th amendment. And no I do not carry a gun, but have gone hunting many a time, and have many a friend who those of you from the big cities would call a gun nut. And in the long run We cannot allow John McCain to be elected, you know as a democrat and a fairly liberal one, but one who supports the second amendment. Obama's best bet was to make sure the gun issue cannot be used against him. Most liberals from Montana really support the second amendment and don't like the idea of the government making too many rulings to restrict those liberties because once they can restrict on civil liberty they can restrict them all. That is the slippery slope we all should seek to avoid.
I can't comment on his FISA vote because I haven't finished reading the legislation. I would like these guys to be prosecuted criminally though, not by class action law suit, as they have violated our liberties.
This is pretty simple really, since war service and volunteering for the military during the Viet Nam war didn't help John Kerry win against the guy who went AWOL, then it will not make a difference for John McCain. It really doesn't matter what he did or didn't do during Viet Nam, doesn't matter that he was a hero (again compare John Kerry to Dub), and why doesn't it matter, it isn't relevant. So weather or not General Clark is correct (and of course he is correct, military experience doesn't qualify or disqualify one for the office of the president) also isn't relevant to the discussion of who will be president and who will not be president. However, General Clark should know better than to cause a stir nowadays, and why is that because the atmosphere created because of the Bush Administration and the former Clinton administration has made it the years of victimization. It all gets ridiculous after a time doesn't it. Everyone wants to be a victim.
Oh and PatrickVashon, you going to Jeff Kemps picnic this year like all good Republicans who reside on OR want to reside on Vashon Island?
I saw it this morning on the ferry before doing the crossword, it is hilarious! David Horsey is awesome!
Cindy McCain was caught stealing drugs from a non-profit organization she ran. She is a thief and was investigated by the DEA, so who cares if her husband forgave her or not, he calls her names anyway.
Good Luck with this John McSame, everyone knows who is and is not a G W Bush follower.
The troops can come home, right John McBush.
Now I want one of those bicycles!
They are economical, my mom had ceiling fans throughout our house and condo in Manila, PI and we didn't think we needed air conditioners. I have ceiling fans in every room in my house. We love them!
Well I am disappointed with all those folks, he needs to dip into a good pool, not someone with freaky eyebrows or other senators. How about a governor, how about the governor of Montana? Geez.... lets hope these aren't really the final choices.
Aren't these actions illegal?
They are underrepresented, but present at all levels of our system, including the white house, although not as President. There have been hundred, if not thousands, of golf pros, compared to less than 50 Presidents
I think you also stated he could have been vice president if he just waited his turn, really you wanted to say "Knew his Place" didn't you. First off saying there have been hundreds or thousands of black golf pros makes me know you know nothing about golf, or black golfers, as a white longtime golfer, I want to tell you, you are wrong and are you equating being a golf-pro who is someone who works for a golf course, they teach people and may or may not play professionally or semi-professionally, or a professional golfer, of which you can only name Tiger Woods as a black golfer, he hardly represents thousands, but you don't know what you are talking about anyway.
You want us all to know how much better black men have it then white women, well, again you are living in some weird parallel universe, where only heads in sand reside.
Too bad the good people of Connecticut, when they had a good chance of ridding themselves of Holy Joe didn't do the right thing and dump him. Rest assured he will be gone in 2012.
Yes, we did the Tour de Whatcom this weekend which is in rural whatcom country in northwest washington, farmers and organic dairy farmers and there were huge Ron Paul signs in their yards, and many of them. When I went home to Montana earlier this summer, same thing, so many Ron Paul giant yard signs everywhere. That and Barack Obama signs. Go Figure!
