Did you read the article at CNN? Hmm seems like as usual Republicans don't like to follow rules.
From Beth ElliottPhiladelphia (CNN) – At least six Republican election board workers in Philadelphia were told to leave their polling precincts because they did not belong to the party in the majority and had not received a court order to work on election day, Philadelphia County Board of Elections Supervisor Bill Rubin confirmed.
Rubin said the Election Board requires a court order issued by the Commonwealth Court in Philadelphia for those workers who are not elected to the post.
"The same thing happens in every election," Rubin added. "These are mostly minority areas that are heavily Democratic and there isn't a lot of Republican representation."
But Bill Porritt, a spokesman for the McCain-Palin presidential campaign, said the campaign might seek legal action.
"Election board officials guard the legitimacy of the election process and the idea that Republicans are being intimidated and banned for partisan purposes does not allow for an honest and open election process," Porritt said Tuesday.
Rubin said the Republican workers were headed to the courthouse Tuesday morning, and that some had already been issued the court orders needed to allow them to start work immediately.
Rubin said the workers were not official overseers or monitors at the precincts, but function as representatives at the voting tables for any voters who had questions.
The precincts affected include Philadelphia's 44th Ward, Divisions 12 and 13, 6th Ward, Division 12, and 32nd Ward, Division 28.
Those people must follow all the rules. It is as simple as that.
Oh my, of course your personal polling is of course accurate and unbiased...
Get a clue.. you get an F in Statistics 201. Go back to the beginning and start over.
I am so scared right now............
Oh God, is it really going to be a landslide? All I can think is I am keeping my fingers crossed!
Ohio goes to Obama. Say Good Night John McCain.
I had my beer, and am amped up, he's won, we've won! Good bye Republicans.... you've wrecked the country one to many times.
Hey where are all the trolls tonight?
Fox called Virginia for Obama...Wow! It's a rout!
To John:
Think of this, 62 million people voted for the new President Elect: He won 52% of the vote. Bigger than Jimmy Carter after Watergate.
We the people of the United State of America, in order to form a more perfect Union have now bounced your kind out of office. We have effectively said to you and others like you that you can no longer scare us into submission, you can no longer label who is a patriot and who isn't a patriot and get away with it, we the People have said loudly to you and your kind, get out of our way we are going to change this country ourselves. We the People.. Doesn't that sound awesome. We the people, in a clear majority have shed ourselves of some of the worst politicians, those who thought of themselves first and how to garner more power rather than work for the betterment of our nation and our people. We the people, Derbyshire, want Universal Health care, we want better roads, we want better bridges and we want alternate sources for energy. We want to move on. We need to move on, we do not want to fight wars against those who have not attacked us, we don't want to label everyone on earth we disagree with as terrorists states, we want to learn to get along in the world, we want to do what most of us teach our children, we want to work together to make the world a better place for everyone. The only way to make a better world Derbyshire is that we all participate. We the people are forming our more perfect union. You are welcome to join us if you have the guts.
Virginia I am nothing except sad for you. Your anger and bitterness reflects your view of the world. Sold out the country? Elitists? Sexist? What next will you call us unpatriotic? Sorry Virginia today is a great day, it is a great day for America and the world. You can call us all the names you want to, you can be mad. We on the other hand will now work for the things America needs. We will do it with your help or without your help. Join or don't the choice is yours and yours alone.
My Parents spent part of the election in Luxor, Egypt and then Istanbul. They arrived in Istanbul after Obama had been elected and people were still dancing in the streets this morning. They said this was the first time in years they didn't hide the fact that they were Americans. Things have already changed, at least for the moment.
I didn't read much of Dowd this morning when I saw the direction she was going with her essay. Bill Clinton was a great president. Bill Clinton was and probably is a crappy husband. It always made me feel bad for Sen. Clinton, but you know what it isn't my business. It certainly doesn't rise to the same level of crime as say violating the Geneva Conventions and approving the torture of people, criminals or not, spying on us, and the whole host of egregious illegal behaviors perpetrated on the citizens of the US by GW and his associates.
