@jonlas7

What about the health of the mother, jonlas? Does that not matter? Are you a woman? Have you given birth? I am going to say it again, if you really are a conservative, you have no right to tell me what to do with my body, you have no right to come between my physician and I. You have no right to judge what I have done in that regard, that is between my god(dess) and I, but it never ever is your place to even know what I have or have not done. You are not the final judge.

Children should be born to parents who want them or to be adopted by loving parents, but they are not a talking point. You nuts think always say BS like, what about the right of the unborn??? A woman makes the ultimate decision that is either right or wrong for her life or her health, or even reasons we may all disagree with, but in the end it continues to be her choice and not the governments choice, or your choice. You make your own decisions for your own body and stay the hell out of mine. You don't get that right. Abortion will never go away. That is why Roe V Wade was decided the way it was, no more back alley abortions that kill women.

Do you believe in Birth Control?

It doesn't surprise me that you don't think everyone gets access to health insurance. Let me explain a little something to you about FEHB (Federal Employee Health Benefits), I know quite a bit about them I receive them!

First, all employers should be mandated to cover their employees, even Walmart, it isn't like they do not make enough money to. Second, if all of the US including employers paid into the FEHB, an already excellently managed system, all our insurance premiums go down, therefore even a small business owner could afford insurance for their employees and themselves. This could be done by a sliding scale based on net incomes or gross incomes. Currently we pay around 3300 a year for our health insurance coverage and the feds pay around 17000.00 per year for our health coverage, if the entire country paid into the system the pool of covered is higher so costs come down. It is pretty simple math. Mandated coverage is essential.

Take for Example Boeing I've mentioned them before.

In fact read the my next response I will cover Boeing there.

Boeing:

Boeing Machinist are currently on Strike, the strike happens to be over benefits.

Currently a Boeing Machinist can retire after 25 or 30 years of work, sometimes as the age of 55 or a bit earlier. The current contract states the company must pay for those retiree health insurance in entirety until 65 when Medicare takes over. The current contract dispute is over continuing that coverage to new hires, of course the Company does not want to do that but Machinists want that kept in their contract. If Boeing could pay into a larger pool it would bring their costs down substantially, even a company like that supports universal coverage. Why don't you?

Cause spreading the wealth around is a bad thing???? The phrase McCain was trying to come up with was it is bad to redistribute wealth, that is a key republican talking point but but instead the mental midget said who wants to spread the wealth around.... ummmm, that is how the economy works, you spread the wealth around you know by hiring people. What do you think, employees are slaves?? Geez, I hope you aren't serious, because that is crazy.

To those who earn a quarter million a year paying extra taxes shouldn't be a big deal, this country has paid a great price because it has charged things on the great government credit card, also known as the treasury and the SS Trust Fund. Spreading the wealth around is fundamentally different that wealth redistribution, which is something conservatives talk about all the times. But what we are really talking about is paying our bills, something Republicans don't believe in as evidenced by our massive debt. 10 Trillion and more now.

But spreading the wealth is not redistribution of wealth. All I said to you was, John McCain couldn't even memorized the correct slam, the winger slam or redistribution of wealth. Most people would like to spread the wealth around it makes the world go round. Meaning I can buy products or hire Joe the Plumber to do stuff for me... duhh

Folks have to pay their bills Clapham. That means this country too. McCain didn't say redistribute wealth and that is the problem isn't it, but since Joe the Plumber drives on our roads, has the benefits he has had, I guess including being related to Charles Keating and doesn't pay his own property taxes as evidenced by tax liens against him, he has no where to stand. I pay my property taxes, pay my income taxes, pay taxes on the extra money we receive from a family trust. I surely don't mind, because it is what makes the world go round. The taxes we pay do help support all jobs, because businesses get tax breaks for say opening a business in a certain area.. don't muddy the waters talking about jobs... you trolls are hilarious. Do you pay your bills though, because there is a massive bill due here called the Iraq war. Should we continue to charge it up, forget about paying for it now, let the next generations pay for the war, pay down the 10 Trillion dollar debt, what, just keep charging it up like some many folks do with their credit cards? Please, Bills are coming due, we need to pay them those with more will have to pay more, it is the cost of citizenship.
