I hope American's stand up, they don't allow the baser side to rule yet another election. It gets tiring you know, being called a traitor just for being a Democrat. There is no intellectual disagreement anymore, everything devolves into the next invective. How could anyone be afraid of Sen. Obama? What is it that these folks are thinking, do they really believe he could be a terrorist? I happen to be half Lebanese. The Lebanese are Arab. My people are the mountain people they are Catholics. So when they are talking about Arabs in a sense they are talking about me. I am also Irish and Norwegian, which makes me 100% American! And that is it isn't it, we are all Americans, and McCain's campaign has attempted to draw the line and define who American's are and who they are not. When are Conservatives going to end this madness. Well is seems to be happening. First Kathleen Parker, but of course she's been threatened now too by her own team, George Will seems to admonish Sen. McCain at every turn, Frances Shaffer, Christopher Buckley who not only admonishes Sen. McCain and his campaign but endorses Sen. Obama. But is it enough to stop the crazies, it is enough to stem the tide of hatred this Republican Party has wrought. Will it end horribly or will we as American's not allow the baser side to rule.
You are always there with a Red Herring aren't you. John McCain has to take responsibility for what his campaign is doing. Period. His campaign has behaved in irresponsible and reprehensible ways. He needs to own up to what he has allowed his campaign to do in his name. For a week now he and trophy VP have been all but calling him a terrorist sympathizer, that is unwarranted and like I said reprehensible.
I guess in the end John McCain will have to figure out if he has a sense of decency left in him. His supporter have none, and he must choose, is he one of them or one of us.
I just suddenly saw it, there he was, with all the sadness and lost soul, just like Gollum. It was the saddest thing I've ever seen in my life.
This isn't about probabilities. This is about what Sen. McCain and trophy VP have been doing at their rallies. You are the master of red herrings. I don't care, it is the mood at those rallies. If they are plants they are plants by the McCain campaign itself, it has nothing to do with Brawley, or anyone. This has to do with Sen. McCain who has clearly lost control of his campaign, if he ever had control, and I do not think he did. He is Gollum, the quest for the ring he will never have is driving him crazy. It is clear, if you didn't see it, it doesn't matter, you are the enabler, the mom who says my kid didn't do anything wrong it was the other kid. You are part of the problem. But no matter, this year the majority are appalled and we aren't going to let the thugs rule, no more Mordor here.
You are wrong, we do know Sen. Obama. The thing is for years we thought we knew Sen. McCain, but the fact is we didn't. The only people who do not know who Sen. Obama is are either lying or not paying attention. I've know about him since before 2004, he's been around. He is a gifted politician. If you don't know hims as you claim it is because you simply don't want to know him. That doesn't matter either, because Sen. Obama is going to be Pres. Obama and you nuts out there better just deal with it. I have to tell you this time we are not going to put up with you. This time the people are going to demand better of you angry white folks. This time you have to grow up and act like the adult you are. This time you must be an example to your children. This time you have to stop your crazy friends from doing crazy things. Sen. McCain seemed to understand that last night, it was there for all of us to see. No more threats. No more calling people traitors and treasonous, no more saying he associates with terrorist. No more crazy fringe crap. Most of us are tired of it. OK. No More.
Really, no one could be worse than G.W. Bush. Give us all a break. Sen. McCain and Trophy VP are inciting people to violence.
Scared? Those people are just afraid of a Black Man. You are one of them. Our country is falling apart, our government is failing, and you believe they are afraid of Sen. Obama? What is to be afraid of, he has a steady hand, he is in control of his own campaign unlike Sen. McCain. Sen. Obama clearly believes Americans are good. Sen. McCain and his campaign are trying to scare people. They are equating a Senator to terrorists. What is scarier, letting the guy who isn't running his own campaign get elected, because Sen. McCain clearly is not in control of his campaign, or electing the man who is clearly in control of his campaign, who has command of the issues and has surrounded himself with some pretty smart people. Me I will err on the side of the smart man, not the man who has lost control. But we all know how you feel.
