Dissing Joan

Look Joan is a fantastic writer or we wouldn't be here. I don't think she sides with McCain, she is just used to politicians who fight back harder. She is still a liberal and she is just giving her advice to the campaign.

She thinks Obama will lose because American's don't pay that much attention to the minute issues. She isn't really wrong, I mean look a the guy who has been in office since the year 2000.

I just think American's have come out of their stupor, and know we need something different, this year could be that difference.

I keep my fingers crossed and I volunteer my time and so do my 22 and 18 year old sons.

The grass roots efforts will make more of a dent in this election than most people give Obama credit for. It is why I am not as worried as some out there. The grass roots effort going on is larger than you think. Barack was a community organizer and he has organized his campaign in that way as an outreach campaign. We are not in as much trouble as you might be lead to believe.

Original article: Palin takes a tumble

People have suddenly realized

She can't even answer a question thrown at her from a Republican in a Republican town hall meeting! That is pretty scary to most people.

Sarah says "I am ready, and confident in my readiness..." blah blah blah...

People also realize John McCain thinks they are stupid.

Well I don't think we are as dumb as he thinks we are.

@chris49068

Just one minor correction, Sarah Palin does not hold a Master's Degree or a PhD, those are advanced degrees. She holds a Bachelors Degree, in journalism like you said.

Thermodynamic Laws

Although she may know about fungible commodities, she doesn't seem to understand that energy sources are finite. (Law 1 in Thermodynamics, we won't even approach her understanding Law 2, entropy). Since she is the smartest woman in the US when it comes to energy as John McCain says, then she must know energy can neither be created nor destroyed, it merely changes form. Harnessing energy in those other forms is the key to solving some of our problems.

The federal government must do what it did in the 50's, 60's and 70's which is to put massive amounts of money into researching fusion not just fission, more money in superconductor research, more into magnetic energy, nanotechnology, conservation, solar and wind power by making it more affordable for state and local governments to invest in, and compressed natural gas, etc and so forth. This is what is important to solving our energy crisis.

Energy is not just a commodity. We need it for humanity to survive. AARRGGHH (it's talk like a pirate day so I had to add the arrghh)

@rupert c

Dude, of course you don't care, you probably don't believe in science anyway, I suppose you believe like Sarah does the earth is 5000 years old, evolution is only a theory and the earth is flat.

Good for you, hang on to your medieval superstitions it suits you.

John McCain's health care solution

I hope everyone has read or heard about John McCain's plan for health care. It is at contingencies.org. This is published in the Sept/Oct months contingencies. This is the magazine of the American Academy of Actuaries.

This sentence jumps out. "Opening up the health insurance market to more vigorous nationwide competition, as we have done over the last decade in banking, would provide more choices of innovative products less burdened by the worst excesses of state-based regulation."

Trust

I just don't know if I can trust these guys who are intertwined with Bush. They've brought us here with the help of their cronies. I think Krugman, Mallaby, Blodgett and a number of folks are warning us against what is going on. Paulsen in charge of everything and no one can question him. Hmm Wait a minute, who is this guy Dick Cheney? Why can't we through our representatives question what is going on? So an overlord is going to tell us what to do, yet these guys got us where we are, that means they are only going to benefit themselves and leave us with the bill. What?

I am skeptical. I've written my senators and congressman, they need to be skeptical as well and act accordingly.

Lies

And the lying liars that tell them. These guys think no one can find anything out... (Do they not remember John Edwards, Larry Craig, blah blah blah... the list goes on doesn't it) up soon the McCain camps attack on all reporters as being in the pocket of Senator Obama. I just hope the American public sees what is going on here... the continual obfuscation of facts by the McCain camp... I have some hope they will, but not convinced entirely, cause I am looking at the last eight years... that is a fact America elected the moron once for sure and allowed him to be appointed by the supreme court one other time without protest.
