deregulation part IV Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac

Not that you will ever understand but Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were no longer regulated by the US Government because of the deregulatory schemes as set forth by John McGramm and his brother/first Cousin Phil McCain. I Understand you don't know anything about it, but the deregulation we are talking bout today, and yesterday, and the day before that are the result of the repeal of the Glass Steagall Act. Your unfortunate misunderstanding of the situation is typical of those believe that education is meaningless! How is that GED working out for you anyway.

So Noun-Verb-POW to you....

What I love about Wacko Republican Hypochristians

Is that they believe God to be the great micro manager in the sky... is interested in elections in the US and will do anything to get a Republican elected...

Unbelievable, not... this is the card repubs have been playing since the year 2000, and that sure worked out well for America... Their God, a lover of wars, penalizes poor people for being poor, hates immigrants, loves deregulation etc and so on... I wonder if their God wants to take responsibility for the failures of Republicans as well??? Certainly the Republicans will not, in fact they will not even call themselves Republicans anymore.

I hope this email gets around, it will certainly scare the hell out of most normal people!

Health Insurance

Obama needs to hit McBush hard on Health insurance and what McBush's plans would do to those with existing health care plans and those without. John McBush doens't even know how much health insurance costs.... he thinks a $5,000 tax credit will allow people to buy health insurance... which would be hilarious, except he really believes it! Money does talk, Barack needs to bring it home!

Next they will say

They aren't republicans... and only George BUsh caused this problems and the dems cause they've been in control for all of 2 years, so this is all their fault, if only the dem's did their job.....

Because Republicans TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, they like to place blame but never ever take responsibility... It is like they are all two years old.

I didn't do it! It was someone else!

Been in Washington how long?

Well he's been in Washington how long, oh only 26 years. You cannot know what powers the President has or does not have in a mere 26 years! That is simply not enough time.

Hahahahahaha....

Yes and No

I think you are within your rights to cut them off, but tell they why. I guess you can tell them they no longer support you, you can't use fiscal policy as an excuse when Republicans have exploded the government. Although Cary is correct about taking the high road the view is better, but what is the high road when your parents obviously don't support you. I mean come on the Republicans have a terrible job of managing the government, terrible, they've been derelict in their duties. So how is it your parents can't see that? Even my own father who has been a Republican since 1964 isn't voting Republican anymore, he said not for any reason, he cites their total and complete incompetence! I say to you, tell them why they are cut off, give them time to get their crap together, you know like a month or two and then they are on their own. YOu don't owe your parents anything. They don't respect you or they wouldn't vote for the homophobic, fiscally irresponsible, incompetent Republicans. But make sure you tell them why. Then tell them maybe your republican siblings can help them, but you just can't anymore.

@samson141

You are absolutely wrong.

Fact 1: But while the president nominates and the Senate confirms the SEC chair, a commissioner of an independent regulatory commission cannot be removed by the president.

Fact 2: you are as misinformed as John McCain.

@samson141

From time to time, presidents have attempted to remove commissioners who have proven "uncooperative." However, the courts have generally upheld the independence of commissioners. In 1935, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt fired a member of the Federal Trade Commission, and the Supreme Court ruled the president acted unconstitutionally. Precedence baby, precedence, that is what law is precedence.

Although Chairman can resign, even Harvey Pitt in 2002 resigned because the President couldn't fire him. He knew he'd lost the confidence of the president and yet still could not be fired. Hmmm.

And too bad today McLame said he would fire the head of the FEC.. he doesn't even know what he is talking about.

Pundits wrong all year

Let's see the pundits have been wrong all year long, Clinton will win easily, Guiliani will run away with the Republican nomination, a black guy cannot win, he is weak, doesn't hit back hard enough, blah blah blah blah blah....

Well we will see.

John McCain a reformer... hahahahaha good one.

If you mean John McCain errs on the side of big business, and you mean that is reform then fine. If you mean John McCain voted against Min wage over and over again and Martin Luther King Day holiday, and equal wages for women and votes against poor people constantly, helped to put this financial mess into place, then he is a reformer in the way of newspeak, black is white, wrong is right.

I don't think people in this country are that stupid. But I could be wrong. We certainly will find out though.

I do hope the Obama campaign hits McCain on the Keating 5 and compares the S&L bailout to what is going on today, and i am sure that they will, hopefully in the debate!

Yet I look at the Obama campaign as the New York Giants in January. Sports pundits claiming there was no way the Giants could win against the Patriots, and yet they too were wrong.

So we will see, we will see.
