Hipocracy

So, let's see it really doesn't matter that Bristol Palin is pregnant. Although there is so much irony in that Palin believes in abstinence education????? But lets put Britol Palin aside for just one moment.

What does matter here? Sarah Palin matters. My husband is an employee with the federal government and has been for more than 20 years. He works for the Navy, his background was investigated for more than 6 months before obtaining his security clearance, even though the CIA tried to hire him earlier than the Navy did, even though he had been an active member of the military for 6 years, and even though he had been accepted to Annapolis on his own, without his grandfather or father having been to Annapolis.

Sarah Palin has not been vetted by the McCain campaign at all, they are now just realizing it, and they intend to call sexism no matter what is said about Sarah Palin. Sarah Palin remains unqualified to be VP, President.

As I worked voter registration yesterday at a local fair for the democratic party more women came up to us and were livid at John McCain thinking they were so dumb, because as they said, he seems to think any woman is ok, because that is how dumb we are! There was only one woman who approached us who talked about the fantastic pick of Sarah Palin.

John McCain should know though that most women will not fall for his obvious pander. Let's leave Bristol Palin alone, simply because she is a product of her upbringing, there is nothing that can change that, and she will need lots of luck, getting married at 17 isn't a great recipe for success. But lets continue to bang away at the lack of qualifications of her mother, because Sarah Palin is relevant because it tells us all we need to know about John McCain's judgement.

@BrianFrederick

Wrong, wrong, wrong, obviously you did not see the movie Juno, or you are conveniently trying to obscure the message of that movie, and that movie is about choices. The choice Juno made was to give her child up for adoption, not marry the teen age father, not be pushed into marriage because of her families so-called Christian beliefs. Juno was a touching movie, about teenagers in a tough situation and a teenager making the best choice she could make, which was to give the baby up for adoption to someone who could take care of a child, someone who could look out for the needs of a child, you know an adult. The Palin situation is the opposite. Teenagers don't often make good parents, of course some do just fine, but most are still children and do a lousy job raising children. We see it everywhere, and most kids who marry don't stay together. There is nothing harder on children than divorce or strife in a family so No Brian, this is nothing like Juno the movie, that Juno was smart.

Mark Halperin

The Republican shill can shove it up his ass. What a complete moron. Yeah, just cause she is Republican Mark, not cause McCain didn't vet her....

Alex! Bravo!

I guess we are all supposed to believe, Republicans are the only patriots, they always put country first, and they are the only ones who know how to shop at WalMart with Cindy McCain.

I don't know why people are always knocking your writing Alex, you make me laugh. Thanks, very snarky..... Love it!

I have to say

I vacillate back and forth first I think to myself, well people aren't that dumb, and then I say to myself, wait people are that dumb. I ma just keeping my fingers crossed now Joan, and I am also volunteering to go to Michigan, taking some time off work in October to do field work for the Democratic ticket. I guess if we want to win, we have to get out there and let folks know the reasons to reject the Republican agenda. I hope they will.

Questions

I do however have many questions for Sarah Palin, especially in light of the Jay Carney/ Nicole Wallace episode. First I want to know if she wants Roe v Wade overturned and the follow up to that one is, does she want a life at conception amendment? Next I want to know what the penalties will be for a woman? Her doctor? Next I want to know her views on contraception? Outlaw it again or not? I want to know if she believes the fourth amendment covers women and their bodies or doesn't cover women and their bodies. Next up is the question of view of early childhood education funding? Next up Head Start funding? Next up sex ed in the public schools should the federal government ban it or not ban it? I would ask her about abstinence programs and the lack of documented evidence that it helps teenagers put off sex? Next question will be what her scientific credentials are to decide intelligent design is a valid science like evolutionary biology? Those are only the first questions I have, I will continue later with more questions, but it is time for the press to ask Sarah Palin about her views and how she would like to change America.
