Original article: The dude vote

Really?

This article ain't good. But not offensively so, as to warrant the utter idiocy of most of the comments.

It seriously makes me wonder if there a concerted effort of republicans to get on this message board and foment dissent amongst us democrats.

Bush needs to be removed from office, please save your spite for the general election.

Wednesday, February 27, 2008 12:39 PM

Wow.

That was severly unfunny.

But it might be the most humorous thing Kevin Smith has directed since Mallrats.

Thursday, February 28, 2008 01:21 PM

@kufir

I'm a bit of a moron and don't understand how a voicemail box will be used to conduct drug activity.

Would you please explain to the uninitiated layman?

Friday, February 29, 2008 09:00 AM

whatever

Is anyone here surprised that this is the spin?

I'm surprised not at how transparent it was, but how lamely it was executed.

where's the howard-dean-scream sound sample when you need it...

hold on, i gots me an idea...

if Hillary dumps Penn today, she might have a chance tomorrow!

Original article: Quote of the day

ha!

I think that the reason Hillary won Ohio and Texas is because she is a woman. The democratic electorate just can't bring themselves to pull the trigger for another male candidate.

Monday, March 10, 2008 09:42 AM

ooooh

Is it intentionally racialist or just a really stupid oversight to cut to a black man when meghan talks about everyone eating chicken?

Friday, March 28, 2008 10:08 AM

que?

Saying that "neither side is innocent of driving the discourse down" seems to be aimed at minimizing the Clinton's wonderfully lowbrow and sleazy campaign.

Which, if memory serves me right, is also a Republican tactic.

fascinating but...

... i just hopes this means that we aren't bombarded by some crappy "In Da Club/Obama Speech" remix youtube video.

Speaking of hiphop luminaries, which candidate does sistah souljah support?

Original article: Hillary's slick willies

wow!

The response to the first question might be the best thing I've read on Salon. Ever. Fuckin-A.

Thank you joyously Camille.

Thursday, April 10, 2008 08:56 AM

here's a good idea...

Stop whining and become a hack advice columnist. Hopefully Salon will have an opening soon.

Monday, April 14, 2008 10:38 AM

on the bright side...

While it might give the Republicans 4 more years in the White House, it is nice to see a liberal website finally with the potential to make some real advertising money.

Friday, May 2, 2008 02:37 PM

excellent!

in my world, you are forgiven for that annoying "why do boys hate hillary" article with this brilliant piece of analysis.

well done. and goddam that picture is creepy.

Obama's VP

Has anyone suggested Chuck Hagel? Not only could he be the proof that Obama will work across the aisle and for America, CH would undercut McCain's "maverick" BS rep and he brings strong foreign policy experience.

Original article: What did Clinton do wrong?

Management.

I do believe that Hillary is a warm person - I've got a friend that worked for her years ago that still hears from her on his birthday - However, her campaign has only one person to blame for its implosion and failure. (Hint: it's not Mark Penn)

Decents manager do not keep team members that don't understand the fundamental nature of the business they are engaged in.

So her chief campaign strategist didn't understand the proportional nature of the democratic primaries? Yeah, it pathetic. But more pathetic is keeping that person in the same high-ranking position. Hillary's complete mismanagement of her campaign is the number one reason why she is not qualified to be President.

Friday, May 9, 2008 08:24 AM

Hey Clinton Supporters!

Time to abandon the bile! How about instead of attacking everything about Obama and his supporters, you work to bridge the gaps between all us Democrats?

goddam!

I'd be remiss without explaining that i had some issues with his journalism over the years.

That being said, he was as close to a minister as i've had in my adult life. Sunday mornings just won't be the same without him.

Wednesday, July 2, 2008 10:37 AM

Very Cool!

OK. great story.

Most importantly... this is the first good use of video on salon. Please please please stop the "reporter talking to the camera" thing. Actually use video when it is needed.. i.e. this spot.

goddamit

i'm SO glad someone is calling this out. I was screaming at my television watching this when neither Abrams nor the other panelists corrected that statement.

Are they stupid or afraid? man, that shit is frustrating.

Original article: Greek columns? Really?

wow.

i remember when this was the most substantive column/blog on salon. Now? Pathetic. Just pure pathetic.

IS it possible to have a user mutiny and remove these moronic writers?

HOLY. CRAP.

I will be shocked if Palin makes it out of this week still the VP nominee.

For reals, if this is the kind of choice that McCain makes, then I am whole-hearted scared of his leadership abilities. How many months did he have to choose and vet????

@ bearpaw

"John McCain spent 5 and a half years in a POW camp to make sure that Americans had the right to seceed from America."

huh. i'm trying to figure out why that doesn't have the same ring as all the other POW defenses.

Original article: Dating don'ts

OMG. Totes.

Dating Donts are really stupid. Can't you just go out on a bunch of dates with a variety of people without it turning into a manifesto on what all women want or how all men should act?

Expect that some will be lame, some will be interesting, and occasionally one might shine through. Shucks, you might even locate someone boring enough to find autism/rainman jokes equally offensive!

All these frickin' rules, donts, and dos make my damn head spin - How are we ever suppossed to have any fun on the date itself?

Friday, September 19, 2008 10:57 AM
Original article: Dating don'ts

@ Allie_

blame Howard Stern. His talking about his own small penis made all of us think we could do it too.

(and it works quite nicely for the lot of us raised on insecurity and porn)

Tuesday, September 23, 2008 02:27 PM

FUCK

These fucking guys are doing what Al Qaeda couldn't do - break my faith in the United States.

I want to puke.

Tuesday, September 30, 2008 09:16 AM

God Forbid...

...McCain wins and she actually ends up in the Vice Presidency. This is scary beyond all recognition. Everyone: Republicans, Dems, Libertarians, Greens... should be screaming for her removal from the ticket.

Ignorance this deep shouldn't have even be allowed to run Wasilla.
