And he can talk as much as he likes. Because now there's no way he'll get out of this, and cannot claim not guilty by reason of insanity, and he may have also opened himself & others to a conspiracy charge.
The danger of course is that he'd be then called a martyr. There are (evil)people who call Eric Rudolph or Paul Hill martyrs. My worry is that the right will leverage this as they did in the 90s into a general persecution complex among their side, but why worry? They already had it ready to go. It's here.
Operation Rescue is to the Army of God as Sinn Fein was often to the IRA.
Anyone who knows his history knows that he was proof that the only people willing to make themselves the martyrs to the cause are people that failed in every other endeavor in their lives, as Brown did by the time Harper's Ferry comes along. And his was not so much the first fight of the Civil War as the last one of Bleeding Kansas.
Based on nothing but that it's a time tempers can fray.
They're waiting till it's warm.
When we were all making fun of this term and amazed they didn't know its slang meaning, we all ignored the obvious literal one.
You steep a teabag in heat, to brew something.
It's been steeped.
DO we get it now?
This is why I thought it was stupid of my side to constantly claim Bush was akin to Hitler.
Think Kaiser Wilhelm instead and you may be closer to the mark. Then do some reading about Germany in the following decade. Then you'll know where our far-right scumbags fit.
>>And please remember, we're the ones shooting at you. You're not shooting at us. Picking at me is like picking at the inventor of penicillin on behalf of germs. If you're a germ lover that's your deal.
No, you're the germ, though it's true shouting at one would have more effect than trying to reason with your side. And thank you for reminding us that you would like to shoot us, and going far beyond free speech into something a bit less legal.
Please, keep being this blatant.
Isn't it great how they're doing everything they can to leverage this and don't seem to give a damn that people are being murdered?
Law and order? No, politics first. Scum.
My question is, Ms. Walsh, just what were you thinking? You give him credibility just by appearing; just my click over to look at this clip increased Fox' pageviews and thus its ad revenue. Not to mention whatever increased ratings it gives him. So these are things you granted him by appearing. What do you appear to gave received out of this, for yourself, for the pro-choice cause, for this side at all?
Nothing but some more TV face time, because you like being on TV, as you say. You know what? There should be a much better reason to appear on O'Reilly's show. Because there will not be a debate. He sets the entire thing up so that he can use guests like you as straw men and punching bags. The fact that you came on about as unprepared as Sarah Palin last fall only makes it worse.
Why not let someone else go on that might have been serving more than their own vanity if you were going to come on so defenseless and with nothing to fight back with? He IS vile. He DID incite this. He SHOULD be at the least humiliated over it, and that, at least, you might have done. But no, you just withered, tossing your hair. Which a true activist that cares about women's rights more than her own ego might have managed. But now they have that, of you, to laugh at, and to show their audience as a typical example of the pro-choice cause.
You did far more harm than good, Ms. Walsh. I'm amazed you're so flip about it. Stay on the print side, and stop trying to be a media star when there's serious work to be done that you only hamper when you do crap like this.
It isn't ABOUT you.
Please shut up, you drooling hyenas.
But an amusing one:
"Granted, Philip Morris, the country's biggest tobacco country..."
Oh yes, and soon their will be rainbows, and ponies, and murderers of doctors will be stopped and we will all have fudge.
Please grow up. Anyone likely to see sense does not use Fox as their primary outlet. They WANT that alternate universe. This is why Fox is not a news outlet, and why nobody should treat it as one. You might as well expect to do some good for the cause by appearing on CBN.
And that's just the kind of arrogant regionalism the Right also reflects. Snotty comments about New York, its art and its ballet(say, I'm in Seattle and used to live in Chicago and those were there. I grew up in Charleston, they even have it there tool I was even in theatre there, in Spoleto 1987. Did you know that there are even places in Pennsylvania that have culture?
You're feeding into a stereotype and not helping when you say stuff like that. I'm just saying.
Also, exposure to culture in no way necessarily makes people better or less right-wing. Just ask the heroes of the loony Right, back in Germany.
Exactly.
They need to stop being granted respect or legitimacy.
Would any purpose have been served by appearing in a radio debate with Coughlin? No.
Same thing.
