Numbers numbers, all of those wonderful numbers

Wordsilk asked: "I keep seeing numbers like 11 million and 12 million bandied about as the number of illegal immigrants in this country. But I've yet to see any SOURCE for this number."

Depending on whom you ask, and their political agenda, you can find any statistic you need to prove or disprove any point.

I've seen numbers of Illegals ranging from 8 million to 20 million. The press in general likes to hover around 11 to 13 million. (I won't use either "Aliens" or "Immigrants" because they are both loaded terms that identify your political prejudice. Suffice to say they are illegal and that is an indisputable damned fact, except to the most idiotic of moon-bats.)

The next big ambiguous number is the amount of money that Mexican illegals in this country send back to Mexico annually. The New York Times keeps saying $17 billion dollars. Lou Dobbs uses this number also. But nobody wants to cite the source. So I did the digging and found out for all of you: It came from BancoMex, one of Mexico's top banks. And there's an extra billion somebody threw in, because BancoMex last year said it was $16 billion. But why quibble?

If you wish to want to waste time on numbers: If there really are 13 million illegals sending back $17 billion it comes out to approximately $1,300 per illegal per year. Of course, these numbers are meaningless. Nobody really knows.

But let's throw the dead cat on the table, shall we?

What nobody seems to want to talk about in Washington is the Mexican ruling Brahmans who have been sucking the blood of the Mexican people for generations and who will hold on to power at all costs, even if it means they have to open their northern border and let the "overflow" of desperate people invade our country to relieve the economic drag of under-employed people on their own corrupt economic system.

The problem of illegal immigration starts and ends in Mexico City, first and last.

Here's what it comes down to:

Corporatist America and Oligarchic Mexico, both countries operating under the false pretenses of being Republics, are profiting from this mass migration of poor, semi-literate peasants. It's a "push/pull" deal. Corporate America pulls in the poor campesinos and the Mexican Oligarchy pushes them out.

That's why illegal immigration can not be solved by either political party, Republican or Democrat. It's bigger than political parties. It's about wealth and power and who has it and who uses it. They call the shots. We are just along for the ride.

The only losers in this game are my poor pathetic, helpless fellow citizens that I have labeled the "Great American Dumbass." (GAD). The GAD is a little like Homer Simpson: a being incapable of acting in his own best interests. He allows himself to be deluded into reacting to things he sees on television, things created and fashioned in such a way as to cater to his fear, his greed and his ego. The GAD is helpless to think for himself.

But sadly, even if the GAD really knew what was going on, he wouldn't care anyway because his belly is full and his house isn't on fire. When his belly is empty and his own house is burning down, then he will finally wake up. And by then, it will be too late.

There is nothing new under the Sun. Empires grow and eventually rot from within. Ours is no different.

It's not illegal, it's just undocumented, right?

So Danstr, that guy who jumped over the White House fence last week wasn't doing anything illegal, he just didn't have the proper documentation. Let the poor man go.

The ATF found a guy down in Texas with a fully operational M-60 machine gun in his basement. He wasn't doing anything illegal, God forbid! His machine gun was just unfortunately undocumented. Leave that man alone.

I guess you'd have to pardon me if you woke up one night and found me staring at your wife from the foot of your bed. Hey! I'm not trespassing, I just don't have the proper paperwork. I'm sure you would understand. I just came in to give her a foot massage. No harm done.

Still not good enough for you

Hey "Sorry"

Let's see your credentials. What the hell have you ever done?

I believe I can speak for a good number of Vietnam veterans, some disabled like Max and me, who worked for John Kerry last year and had to put up with this "holier than thou" attitude from some of the moon-bat fringe of the Democratic Party.

We'll never be good enough for you, will we, "Sorry"? We're not perfect like you are. You'll hold your nose and let us campaign against Bush with you, but deep down inside, you think we're tainted goods.

Sure "Sorry" you've got all the answers. So much for that famous Liberal compassion.

If it weren't so sad, I'd have to laugh. I'm unwelcome in places like the American Legion because I'm against Bush's war, and I'm not a war-monger. But I'm unwelcome in the eyes of many Democratics because I once wore the uniform of my country and I'm not a pacifist. There are things worth defending.

We veteran's have Max to thank for years of service at the head of the VA. He tried his best, I know he did. But that's worthless to you know-it-alls out there.

I'll tell you what, "Sorry," no matter who you think you are, you're not fit to carry Max Cleland's piss bottle.
