Hey.... Fred's not so bad!

What's wrong with Fred Thompson. Hey... he's a successful actor on a series that glorifies the most aggressive and repressive criminal system in the western world, he's been a lobbiest for all sorts of causes, most of them bad... for whomever would pay the most money....he was a spy for Richard Nixon during the Watergate investigation, even though Nixon thought he was a fucking idiot. Why... if that's not presidential material.. what is?

It's certainly not worse then the last Republican presidential candidate who was a thrice arrested, alcoholic, draft dodging failed businessman with mediocre grades who used to be a cheerleader....

The only thing that amazes me, is that the Republican party even exists.

No, no, no Mr. Kristol....LET ME BE CLEAR!

Let me be clear Mr. Kristol, I don't know who your masters are, and cannot fathom the lack of logic and common sense that brings you to the dangerous conclusions and positions that you have taken and advocated. But the result of you and yours in prosecuting this illegal war against the sovereign nation of Iraq has been an unmitigated disaster. The cost of lives, estimated at well over half a million, and the 500 billion dollars that we, the taxpayer, will never see again is beyond obscene.

I hope that you end your days with the rest of the neo-con cabal in a prison cell, having been duly convicted of (in your case) inciting crimes against the peace and war crimes. I must admit, I admire the pluck (though it might just be mental illness)....of those who remain resolute and convinced of the righteousness and effectiveness of operations in Iraq.

I am fairly certain that you will not be found wandering down my street anytime soon. For if you do, or any of the Bushist/neo-con criminals do, I will beat you mercilessly with a shoe and video tape it. My understanding is that nothing could be of greater insult in the muslim world. And I wish to insult you with everything I've got, for the injury and crimes you committed against a people on the other side of the world that did NOTHING TO YOU OR OUR COUNTRY.

I would prefer not to be reduced to violence, so I hope that law and order is restored to our country and the world once you and yours leave office. But, I must admit, I am angry- seething, and find it hard to believe that you are given the space you are in our national media, since you only represent a very small and negative faction of our society.

So... Let me be clear Mr. Kristol, you are an asshole and I wish nothing but the very, very worst for you and your ilk.

Hahahahahahahahahahaha....

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. So very funny.

And did you hear the one about the illegal war? More then half a million people have been murdered, and it's cost us half a trillion dollars that we have borrowed.... wait for it.... AT INTEREST.... Hahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahaha.

Then...(tell me if you've heard this one before)... there was this hurricane...and because most of the victims were black... we let them perish... and we still haven't rebuilt their shattered communities....Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha....

I gotta tell you... this president of ours... he's a laugh a minute.

Thank goodness...

We need more people who don't recall to testify.

The justice department elaborates:

The justice department released a further explanation of Mr. Gonzales testimony:

We have looked at the transcript and believe the Attorney General was accurate in the context of what should be normally looked at in terms of a response based on a question that requires and institutional answer, which may in fact deviate from personal knowledge, which was not required in the actual response, even if there would be some deviation from what one might conclude was the perhaps the accurate answer.

We have decided that these obtuse explanations go over better with the American people, because they won't read past the first ten words. We realize, and all but apologize for the Attorney General to have ever expressed himself in "I don't know" and "I cannot recall". It is clear that this looks too much like a bald faced lie, because it is so concise and to the point. Whereas, babbling creates confusion. It might be a lie... it might just be long winded.

Keep your foot on the throat of the fat man!

Do not let up Senate! Do not! Now that you have that fat fuck of a war criminal in your sights.. fire at will. And don't be discouraged if the Republifreaks come up with their usual parlimentary stall tactics. LET THEM STALL! If you don't approve the money, he doesn't get any. The president can't approve or spend money, and the Republican's cannot approve or spend money without a majority.

Kill the cancer by not watering it!... Let the beast whither on the vine. If you need my help, I will be happy to come to Washington with a baseball bat.

It's still Pac Bell to me....

Nice one Joan,

Perhaps you could be the Fem. answer to sports reporting, should you tire of this side job at Salon. My sister also has season tickets in consortium with a group of people. She opted out of the All-Star package (though paid her share)... As she put it: because there are people in our group that care about that game. Your take on the game was about what it was. Inside the park home run... would Barry hit one? and Willy Mays. Anything more.... we might have to comment on why a chick was reporting on the All-Star game...
