The real plan....

It seems odd that no ONE SINGLE ASPECT of this illegal war has gone according to official "plan". Yet the leaders and instigators of this crime insist on escalating versions of 'stay the course' as the only viable direction. Still, over and over again, the result is continued chaos, and a worsening death toll for all factions involved.

Against all logic, we remain in the same stupid gear that we started with, and that plan is failing as badly as it did on day one four years ago. This brings me to two conclusions: Either our leaders are criminally incompetent or .... this is their plan... to create an endless spiral of death and chaos. There doesn't seem to be a middle choice here.

What started broken has remained broken and there is nothing to suggest that it won't be broken tomorrow. Nothing. This milquetoast approach to dealing with George Bush and the other war criminals has to stop. Our country has been looted by these thugs. Hundreds of thousands, possibly over half a million lives have been lost in this war. Our standing in the world, is now that of a terrorist state. It really must stop.

Original article: Whither Guantánamo?

Wiping away the fingerprints.....

Guantanamo is being closed so that there will be less evidence of war crimes when Bushists leave office.... I mean, is there anyone out there who can seriously believe that this administration would do something because it was right, lawful or of moral imperative? Seriously?

Overpayment....

While Mr. Rahm is at it, go after the money that has been given to his office since he came in. Though personally, I would rather the Vice President be tied to a spit and slow roasted over a burning drum of diesel. Yeah.... I do hate war criminals that much....

Original article: Quote of the Day

What next? Opening day for the new strip mall in Rancho Cucamonga?

Man....if they have the Attorney General of the United States doing ribbon cutting duty in Boise....DOJ must be in much worse shit then the public is privy to. Then again, what could be worse then to be on the take for a couple of war criminal oil men?

Curious George...

It is remarkable that the most incurious of presidents in the history of this country would suddenly show curiosity. Such a shame that this curiosity is not to solve the problems of the world, but only to advance his own vainglory.

I'm curious too. Why is this man still in office, and not in chains before an international tribunal explaining the vagueries of pre-emptive warfare?

Original article: "A good American"

The end of empire....

Never mind the legal mandate to uphold the laws of the nation and constitution. Forget about the utter lack of interest in finding out who made a cooridinated effort to compromise the secret identity of one of our spies during war time. And let's turn our back on the very, very solid footing that the conviction of felon L. Scooter Libby was.....

This last straw in an era of endless last straws and shows, once again, how completely corrupt and hypocritical the Republican party is. I'm somewhat heartened that the Republican candidates continue to support this anarchist president of ours. In fact, I applaud the entire Republican party to continue to rally around the belief in non-reality based thinking. It leaves open the chance that they will remain aboard their sinking ship to the very last.

Our complacent and enabling media continues to report on the Through The Looking Glass administration as if there was still some shred of credibility left in the most corrupt executive branch in the history of our union. When I was a kid in the '80's there were these groups who called themselves Anarchists... and I thought that it was an interesting concept, but would never be a threat, as there could never really be a popular movement to install those who practice disorder as our leaders. Silly me.

The cosmic answers....

A whole lot of book learning, or a headful of acid?

Criminals.gov

It amazes me, endlessly, as much as it outrages me when there are comparisons between the Clinton administration and the Bush crime syndicate. In matters of law and morality, Clinton lied about a blowjob, Bush lied about reasons for entering into a war that has claimed more then half a million lives. I could go on... but it's damn hot today, and I'm just too disgusted.

Oh nooooo..... say it isn't so!

I'm shocked, shocked, shocked more then half the population want Dick Cheney impeached and nearly half want George Bush impeached? Unbelievable. Really, I thought that this country had a little more common sense. I just don't see how it's possible that so few people would want these war criminals removed from the offices they have brought so much dereliction to.

I really thought that a solid 70% would want these guys removed. Maybe the question was phrased badly?

You will each be provided with one hundred dollars to buy as many rugs and sunglasses as you can lay your hands on.

As you may notice in our little package, that the ticket to Iraq is a one way ticket. But not to worry... We are so confident that your experience there will be such that you will not come back that we did not even bother to buy a return ticket!

So, enjoy your shopping spree to Haifa Street, Baghdad for your special birthday... and remember: when they say "duck" in Iraq, they rarely mean the bird.
