Hanging from lampposts....

Could it ever happen... that I might be driving down the street with my little niece in the car, and we turn onto a street where there are men and a few women in business suits hanging by the neck from lampposts? And my niece asks me: "Who are those people uncle?". And I would reply, "They are bankers sweetie. They stole lots and lots of money from the people and paid themselves millions of dollars. They are bad people, and bad things happen to bad people".

No. It won't. Pappy Bush bailed out the Savings & Loan swindle, at our expense, and now Jr., not to be outdone in anything except achievement by his father, is going to one up him with the mother of all bailouts. And so the legacy of the Republican big lie continues.

But let it be known far and wide how fundamentally pervasive the Republican big lie is. Let it be known that the deficit under Reagan/Bush went from one trillion to four trillion. Under Bush Jr..... well... we thought it would be around 10 trillion when he left office... but Junior looks to be making a last ditch effort to run up the numbers before he leaves his long and destructive tenure in office.

Let it be known how under Republican administrations, government grew, and the middle class shrunk. Let it be known how the infrastructures of healthcare and education have suffered under Republican rule. Dammit. Wake up America. The Republican party has been the shill of the ultra rich for more then a generation. They support and enable only the energy companies, the war industries and the most greedy of the the financial sector. At our expense.

Perhaps it's to late, our ignoble empire is sinking, damn near without comment into the sea. And now, the government is taking on another trillion dollars to bail out thoughtless investment by our 'leading' financial institutions. Perhaps their stated goal of less government is by any means possible. Even if it destroys our country.

So, please, don't worry about islamofacism. That's kid's stuff compared to the destructive and nihilistic Republican party. And no, there will never be strange pinstriped fruit blowing in the wind. Sorry my niece.

Original article: Palin takes a tumble

The end of an empty suit.

Do you think that maybe it's because she is a mean spirited, corrupt, lying politician without much education who refuses to admit error even when confronted with the facts?

pushing dooms day down the road....

I agree with Obama and much of the rhetoric coming from our nation's capital on this bail-out issue. However, make no mistake... once this money has been spent, interest rates will go up... which will truly bring the house of cards down, as Bush is leaving us with a 10 to 15 trillion dollar deficit (if you count Freddie and Fannie).... and when interest rates go up, the cost of borrowing to pay for that debt will cripple our government in ways that are so extreme... the only example I can think of is when the USSR went bankrupt, and their government and country utterly fell apart.

minor crime...

Well, add this to the list of crimes committed by the Bush administration.... though this one is only in the high crimes and misdemeanor list. Hardly a war crime, or crime against humanity.... hardly worth mentioning huh? Probably will get pleaded out when the trial of Bush gets underway a year or two after he has finally left office.

How far we have fallen....

eeew.... scary.... This is only further proof that she is some sort of sociopath with multiple personality disorders. Amazing. How did this country get to the point where a person so completely unqualified for the executive branch could be so relatively close to gaining that job?

I understand the Republican's metrics in choosing Palin. There is a cuteness factor to electing the Alaskan version of Malibu Barbie to the vice-presidency. However, by that same calculus the Republican's should consider Barney the purple dinosaur... as he would secure the youth vote.

the perfect Republican....

Well, she certainly is proving her credentials as a Republican...

running huge deficits (left Wasilla with 20 mil long term debt).....check

rabid fundamentalist ...... check

uses coded words to communicate her racism to others... check

engages in outlandish muckraking in campaigns.... check

uses her office to enrich herself and her friends... check

uses her office to carry out personal vendettas... check

abuses the power of her office... check

yup... she's a perfect Republican. Don't know why everybody is so surprised or upset.

Calling a kettle white.

Yes... let's have Mr. McCain bring up Ayers. Let's have a highly rated national platform for Obama to explain that he was on a board funded by a Republican with Ayers and that he was a neighbor.... Then, let's move on to issues of more substance... such as McCains intimate and profitable relationship with Charles Keating, and how Mr. Keating fleeced the American taxpayer THREE BILLION DOLLARS... in a scandal not unlike the financial shenanigans that has cause the latest Republican orchestrated financial meltdown. Let's do that. As George "The War Criminal" W. Bush would say: Bring 'em on!

dammit!

ok... I should proof read my postings. My apologies.

McCain's terrorist connection....

Well... wait until the MSM follows the story that McCains transition team is being run by someone who was a lobbyist for Saddam Hussein...

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/10/14/mccain-transition-chief-a_n_134595.html

honestly, I think McCain is trying to throw the election.

BREAKING NEWS: McCains terrorist connection....

Will MSM give this as much play as they have the Ayers smokescreen? I doubt it... but I think that many of his hard core supporters will not be happy that his transition team is being headed up by a lobbyist for Saddam Hussein. Yeah.. the very same.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/10/14/mccain-transition-chief-a_n_134595.html

Now, that's a connection to terrorists.
