Fragile and reversible....
[Read the article: Hearings full of sound and fury, changing nothing]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The new Orwellian catchphrase to guarantee perpetual war for perpetual peace for the war criminals is "The gains are fragile and reversible".... Of course they are... and what a fine job the wordsmiths over at Minipax did to come up with this new ambiguous turn of phrase.
Why... whatever happens...if it gets worse... they can claim it was always fragile.... if things deteriorate from there, then they can claim the 'reversible' part of their claim. On the off chance that there is some sort of resolution (perish the thought!)... then they can claim that they had spoke of 'gains' all along.
All hail the Ministry of Peace!

Yes... let's examine all the big lies....
[Read the article: The financial costs of war]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Yes, yes, let's think about the cold war. Let's examine the hyperbole and lies that engaged us in a pissing contest with the Soviet Union. Let us really look at how much of an actual threat they were to us and the rest of the world. Let us see if it is really necessary to have made enough nuclear weapons to destroy the entire earth a thousand times over. Please. Look hard. The war industries in this country have ruined our empire.
George W. Bush has driven us off a cliff. Thanks George. You are an asshole's asshole. Your policies are the apex of everything that the Republican's have worked for over two generations. History will look back on you and the Republican's as the worst threat to peace and stability in this world since Adolf Hitler. I so hope to out live you, that I may be able to piss on your grave.

The worst of the worst....
[Read the article: In the market for a used Attorney General?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Let's hope that all those who were allowed to sink the American empire through incompetence, stupidity, criminal negligence, war crimes, profiteering and crimes against humanity in the Bush administration will find themselves in jail, or at the very least ostracized from society for the very rest of their days.

I'm shocked! Shocked!
[Read the article: How Bush's HUD responded to the mortgage crisis]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]What a surprise, a member of the Bush team charged with the most outrageous sins of office.... how could it be?
Oh... wait a minute... sorry... I meant to say: How is it possible that the very worst of the worst presidents is not in jail with the rest of his criminal cabal?
-
Soapboxing.....
[Read the article: Environmental advocacy at its finest]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Clearly Jeff Stier's is a Republican.... or he should be. His rhetorical style is anyway.
-
If only....
[Read the article: The GOP's "Culture of Corruption" lives on]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]If only we could put away each and every politician who lied, cheat or stole 10 million from the American taxpayer. In fact.... if they only got one year for each 10 million...I'd be satisfied...
Ok.. so lemmee see how that works... the Iraq war at roughly $700 billion dollars... uh oh... Lucy! Some people have to go to some real jail time.... 10 million goes into a billion 100 times.... so... Bush, Cheney, Rice, Rumsfeld and all the other protagonists in this illegal war are looking at 700 years in jail.... How great is that?
Ahh...if it were only true! Then my great-great-great grandchildren could got to the prison museum, and see the mummified bodies of our war criminal leaders... now that would be a history lesson!...
Ooops.... back to reality.... There will be no investigation, there will be no conviction, there will only be business as usual.

How to pick up women?
[Read the article: Survey: Women looser with their passwords than men]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Wow...I never thought of the candy trick... I wonder what else they would do for candy...
-
How amazingly lame....
[Read the article: Fake Springsteen praises Windows in heroically awful corporate video]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The question is whether Mr. Springsteen should sue for the un-authorized use of his likeness... the incredibly lame song that they came up with... or that Vista is as close to a fraudulent product as a dick enhancement pill.
Oh... and to the Microsoft apologists who go after Mr. Manjoo for praising apple over windows.... ARE YOU WATCHING THIS DRECK? Seriously.... Then again, George W. Bush became president, so I suppose there are plenty but plenty of people who live in a world of delusion.
-
Long live a king....
[Read the article: Ted Kennedy has a brain tumor]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]May the dear Senator live long enough to see the end of the scourge of the Republican party on our country. Of course, that would bring him into his mid-nineties.... but I hope for his full recovery.
-
Pushback...
[Read the article: Push-back against McClellan book begins]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]If I was a member of that cabal that got us into an illegal war through illegal means (lying)....I would 'pushback' too.... nothing like a growing body of evidence that you are a war criminal to cause you to get your 'pushback' gloves out of the closet. Scott McClellan will not be the last. There are others that were probably close to the inner circle, because they believed, but are now dismayed as to how crooked their bosses really are.
ICC investigated Bush, and released a finding that there was not enough evidence at that point to charge him with war crimes. However, that was about two years ago... and there is certainly more evidence now then there was then. Time is running out. For the victims of Bush's war in Iraq, it's too late. But their memory will be best served by taking the perpetrators of this illegal war to jail.

FOX propaganda network...
[Read the article: Push-back against McClellan book begins]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]ok... not to put to fine a point on it, but why when I see Karl Rove and Sean Hannity together, all I can think of is grabbing a bat and taking swings at their empty melon heads?

Are you outraged?
[Read the article: "When she comes on TV, I involuntarily cross my legs."]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Are you incensed? Are you at the very least deeply bothered by that montage? Well, the fact is that unless a majority of people are outraged, and express it, then it will remain status quo.
One more question.... Have you sent the URL to at least 10 people? No? Then you are not outraged. In some ways, you are complicit.
-
no surprise.
[Read the article: Network news anchors praise the job they did in the run-up to the war]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]and they, the corporate media, collectively wonder why the people have abandoned them in unprecedented numbers. Of course, they think that it is the expansion of media outlets... but if they had been telling the truth, presenting the truth and dissecting the lies, we, the people would have had no reason to change the channel.

calling the kettle...
[Read the article: Quote of the day]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Pretty funny, a zombie likening his brethren to the undead.
