Let me explain it to you slowly... like a parent talking to a three year old...

Ms. Perino,

While I realize that you are working for a group of people that are used to getting their way, and are not inclined or even comfortable in following the rule of law, it should be pointed out that the Congress thinks that the next Attorney General should, in fact, be dedicated to following the rule of law.

I can understand how this seems like a foreign concept to you, but there was a time when the rule of law was to a greater extent followed by people in government. I can see how such a requirement by Congress could cause you dismay. But, your boss has made his legacy in ignoring the constitution, international law, common sense and common decency. So, there is a presumption that anyone nominated for anything by your boss, will only continue to enable him to disregard the rule of law.

So, Dana (can I call you Dana?) please bear with our little quaint system of checks and balances. It is fragile and nearly destroyed by your boss... but it is still, in theory, the rule of law. Besides which, there are plenty of Bushies who are still holding office, and will do everything they can to get your bosses choice installed as the next Attorney General. For, you will see, this check and balance thing at the moment, is really just for show.

Original article: When results don't matter

Embracing the hatred generated by their efforts.

After 900 million a year was spent by the office that Ms. Hughes ran, the image of the U.S. has diminished to unprecedented levels.

It is difficult to understand what the goals of the Bush administration really are, since it seems that they have only brought destruction to the United States. However, in a rare admission of their motivations, the Bush administration wants to trumpet that Karen Hughes did her job admirably. For this, we should take their word and look at the results.

Don't ask what we do, just do what we ask....

Presuming the Bushists are actually not completely stupid, inept and evil, I would further bet a dollar that they are well aware that the stupid, inept and evil acts that have been the result of their policies have created more then a few internal memos of how to get through life without ending up in the Hague.

Given this preposterous presumption that they have some sentient self awareness, one must also presume that the person who they present as the top cop in the United States is not going to turn on them and, say, enforce the laws of the land against them.

If Ms. Perino agreed with the reporters that the inability to answer a simple question as to whether water-boarding is form of torture (which it most certainly is), then I would have to grudgingly grant that there is some integrity in the present administration.... a position, I am sure, I will never have to take.

Corporate fake news movement....

You know there is a problem with corporate mainstream media when their interviewers are so inept that they couldn't get work with Perez Hilton. No wonder George Bush got elected.

Original article: Cheney in the bubble

What Dick Cheney is:

Dick Cheney is a war profiteer who is guilty of treason, crimes against the peace, war crimes and crimes against humanity. Never mind that he shot his friend in the face while drunk. If he draws strength from the vast majority of the American people, he must take pleasure in the anxiety and other distresses created by the Bush regime in their destruction of America.

Original article: Why is this man crying?

Daddy's tears...

It must be tough to be the father of the worst President in the history of the United States. The Bush family will be remembered for the banking Prescott did for the Nazi's, for H.W.'s work on selling the family business (R.W. Grace company) to Halliburton along with reduced liability for the billions of asbestos claims against them, for Neil Bush and his fleecing of a billion taxpayer dollars during the savings and loan scam, and finally for their worthless dumbshit son, who will be blamed for years to come for all the war crimes, fiscal neglect and thievery that his administration has dedicated itself to during these two unfortunate terms.

Tears are a brave face to what mayhem the Bush clan has wrought on this earth and against the people who live on it.

Original article: Quote of the Day

Why I will never, ever, support Rundy Giuliani for president:

The way he really helped sell 9/11 to us.

Mission Accomplished!

One has to start looking at the Bush administration through a different perspective, namely: theirs. Since everything they have set to accomplish has been an absolute failure, and whereas they continue to trumpet their actions as successes, one must assume that their intention is to create this destabilization, mayhem and death.

Eating meat...

It is only anecdotal, but I gave up eating meat and milk products when I was 22 (I'm 46 now)... though I do eat fish perhaps twice a week. My sugar intake is very low as well. In the 24 years that I have eaten this way, I can count on one hand the number of times that I have been sick to the point that I needed to stay in bed. In the winter when everyone is getting sick, I will feel the effects of whatever is going around (my immune system will fire off with some congestion, slightly sore throat etc.)... but it never takes hold.

My brothers and sisters, who otherwise live healthy lives, but eat meat, are knocked out yearly with one thing or another. Additionally, I have gained a total of five pounds since I was 22. Now, I am sure some of my good fortune in health is from genetics, but I am quite certain that my diet is responsible for some if not a lot of my enduring health.

Finally, I recall when I stopped eating meat (and I ate meat daily)... I noticed a level of stress was eliminated from my daily life. As they say in the ads, individual results may vary...
