A factory that insists its workers are accurate and when they are not, they are replaced. Heartless? Maybe... But the question is: What sort of an Iphone do you want to buy? The one that has a 99.2% chance of working as advertised, or one that has a 65% chance of working as promised right out of the box?
Two breaks and an hour for lunch. Pretty much what everybody gets... particularly factory workers. Now, within that context... a minimum wage and thoughts towards the ergonomics of the job... and you have... capitalism!
What are the alternatives? There have been times in my life when I would have loved a job like that. That being said, there have been times in my life that were so dire... that sitting at a small station and doing something as mundane as assembly line work would have been fine. But there you are...
So.. if you have a better way of building an Iphone, please... write Apple... and tell them of your proposal... because... in the end... they are always looking for a better way to build their Iphones.
Not to be left out of the equation of when, what, where, how and why is the underreported story that a recent poll has determined that 1.2 million have died as a result of the Iraq war thus far. One million, two hundred thousand people. 1,2000,000.
We are well into the worst war crimes of the new century, and this back and fourth about troop levels does not address the underlying crime of our presence there.
Amazing how the distinguished senator could re-invent himself so quickly into irrelevence.
One Million Two Hundred Thousand dead as a result of our invasion and occupation of the sovereign nation of Iraq. Whatever the "plan" of the Pentagon is, with the current leadership it will only result in further chaos, mayhem and death.
"Americans want to trade freedom and innovation for the illusory security of government regulation and surrender control of their health decisions to government bureaucrats."
As compared to what Karl? The pharmaceutical bill written by the drug companies and passed by the Republican's to fleece the American people with overpriced drugs.
Or...do you mean that despite the fact that we are the richest country in the world,t we do not have national healthcare, as do all the other rich countries, and some of the less wealthy countries do?
And... as for the freedom thing? Uh...surely you are not talking about the wiretapping... as that truly is trading freedom for the illusion of government security. Oh.. wait... we didn't trade that, you took it. Illegally.
Hey Karl? Are you still allowed to walk the streets as a free man? Amazing.
Wow... Mitt and I actually agree on something....
Come on, is there any surprise here? If George Bush is not nominating a 100% Bushist buttlicker as his new AG, it is not because of choice, but because he is losing political clout...
I'm one of One Million Two Hundred Thousand of the citizens of Iraq who have lost their life because of your war of convenience on our sovereign nation. Do you think that you had the right to instigate a war that has killed myself and more then a million other souls who had no issue or fight with your country?
I'm sorry Mr. Bolton, but if you are referring to the "clandestine regime change" of 2000, when you and your jackbooted legions in Dockers descended on Florida to stop the course of democracy ... Well.. you got lucky... you had help from the inside in the form of a corrupt Supreme Court.
Further Mr. Bolton, the forced regime change of 2000, against the will of the people, has been much like our other attempts at regime change. It comes back to bite us in the ass and then some.
Right now, two of our regime change efforts are now creating enormous instability and insecurity in the world The first Iran, were we replaced a functioning democracy with a totalitarian aristocracy... is now run by fanatics, and the other- the United States, also once a functioning democracy, is now run by fanatics.
Hey... wait a minute...I smell conspiracy!
What would One Million Two Hundred Thousand bodies look like pile in front of the Capitol Building? What if the conspirators to the war crimes in Iraq had to circumvent or climb over this pile of bodies to get to work every day?
1,200,000 souls lost as a result of our invading Iraq. What part of war crimes do these people not understand?
Shame on all those who continue to fund this illegal war. Shame on those who waste time with legislation condemning free speech.
Is that something like a black voter's guide to the Ku Klux Klan?
Problem is, he will claim that he is a stupid, senile old man, and didn't know what he was saying. As evidence, he will present his speeches and work product from the last ten years. No jury in the world could then convict him.
All the more reason why congress should not authorize any further spending for the war crime in Iraq. All the more disgusting that U.S. Senators should vote by a majority to condemn the freedom of speech as exercised by the group MoveOn.org.
Why do we continue to support the murderous folly of the bully president? Take the damn stick away from him, because he continues to poke peoples eyes out.
The best hope, at this point, is they cannot agree to any funding bill... no agreement, no funding, no war. Really, it is that simple. Pray for gridlock people!
Giuliani: Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, 9/11, 9/11, blah, blah blah, 9/11, blah blah, 9/11, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, 9/11, blah, 9/11, blah, blah, blah....
Need I go on? When has he ever said anything else since... uhm.... 9/11?
