our opponents have introduced an interesting candidate into the picture. Thing is, we don't know who this woman is or what she wants. What we do know is frightening. It's frightening considering the magnitude of this election. We are at a point in American history where we must move forward. We must change the way we do things. And a candidate who favors banning books she doesn't personally agree with - a candidate like that - is not the agent of change we need. That candidate would be an agent of regression. An agent of suppression.
You see, my friends, the Obama ticket isn't going to ban any books. We're going to write a new chapter in American history. We're........
ad infinitum.
then the dems win the personality thing.
We have a candidate over there - a self proclaimed 'hockey mom' - who doesn't exactly respect our first amendment. She wanted to ban books from her public library in her tiny Alaskan town.
If you thought Fahrenheit 9/11 was something - just wait until you see Fahrenheit 451 come to America.
Governor Palen. What else can I say? She's a great mom. A valuable carpooler. She attended 6 colleges in 6 years. And she believes in banning books. Come November, I ask you to keep these things in mind when you're voting for the President of the United States of America.
God bless you, God bless the Bill of Rights, and God bless America.
Gov. Palin is going to great lenghts to show you what she wants you to see. She wants you to see her children and her husband. She wants you to see her conviction, and the 'pit-bull' inside of her.
I want you to see her for who she really is. Gov. Palin is someone who attended 6 colleges in 6 years. And even more shocking than that - Mrs. Palin tried to ban books from a public library.... ::wait for boos::.... Yeah, I know, I know.....::wait for boos to die down::... Our Founding Fathers knew too. If this woman holds any office greater than the one she has now, we should be worried. I guess it's okay that she governs the state with the smallest population - less people than Monmouth County, NJ - but we CanNot let her get close to Washington.
You see, my friends, this woman tried to ban books from a public library. Now, there is a lot of stuff in print that I don't agree with. There is lots of material out there about me (Biden) that I don't agree with. Nevertheless, I fight for people's right to publish what they wish. And, I'm a true patriot, a true defender of our Consititution and it's amendments. After 8 years of the Republicans having their way with our laws, we must demand change. And I'm going to do everything in my power not just to prove to you that the Obama/Biden ticket is the answer - even though it is - I'm going to do everything I can to show you how poor of a choice Sarah Palin is for a federal office.
My friends, you can try to ban high-sticking in hockey, but you can't ban books......
See, my friends, our opponent is a proponent of censorship. She tried to ban books in her local PUBLIC library.
Now, I don't know how everyone else feels, but defending the Constitution is vitally important to me. The actions of her early political career must be looked at. I see no better way to find out who this woman really is. What we're finding is that she engages in cronyism - I'm sure we've all had enough of that - and she tried to ban books from a public library. If you have a problem with that - get in line. Let's take this election in November and take back our government to be by, of, and for the people - not for leaders who break the very laws they've sworn to defend.
God Bless America.

look - I'm a libertarian. I voted for Bush in Ohio last go-round. I was too young to vote in 2000. As a republican for a while I know this is how we would attack Palin if the shoe was on the other foot. And people would eat it up. Hey, if I'm in a fight and someone kicks me in the nuts - I don't like it - but, I'm in a fight, I'll just go for your eyes.
The woman admits in the song that "it's not what good girls do." That disclaimer is sufficient for this ex-Ohioan.
And cut the church some slack. Putting up culturally relevant and catchy pro-Christian slogans seems like a damn tough job.
Tracy, quick. Find me 13 words which tie Obama and the Book of Job. How about gas prices and the Pauline epistles.
Only one I can come up with is Rihanna's little theif in the night and 1st Thessalonians. There has to be something there.
Also a fun one to dance to. That's a fun sound she's putting out there.
This is probably the most fascinating thing Broadsheet has published in the 3 years I've visited this site.
My thoughts about this new research --- it makes sense. As much as feminists probably don't want this new research to make sense, it makes sense.
And I'm okay with it, because I'm emotionally flat.
Repeat, repeat, repeat. Rewind. Repeat.
I hate saying this, but our voting population isn't savvy enough to see through these 'Rovian' tactice.
But when you tell them the same thing day after day.... it sinks in.
So, did anyone hear that Gov. Palin tried to ban books?.....
