It's about to happen!!!

It's time for the Muskies to lead Bob Huggins into another bender.

If X loses - we all know it's King's fault for picking them.

Buckeyes back in the Final 4. I'm sure you guys all know that the NIT is the new NCAA which was the new NIT.

@ Arwasio

I'll tell you what else is going on: NIT Semis at Madison Square on Tuesday. 15 dollars gets you both games. What's not to like?

final four

I like Floida over UMass and the Buckeyes over Mississippi. Buckeye title on Thursday.

2 Griffey bombs today. Pouring the foundation for the sixth Reds World Series championship.

Reds and Red Leg

I will have a difficult time supporting and following a team which ships out Josh Hamilton and keeps Adam Dunn. He is a 13 million dollar mistake. Adam Dunn kills the Reds. He is a stupid donkey who sucks. He just flat out sucks. And he strikes out just about every at bat.

I know that no one would pick up Dunn's contract. Well that should send a pretty strong effing signal that the guy sucks. And his numbers should support that as well. The Reds may very well waste an entire decade because of Adam Dunn.

He is the worst left fielder in the game. He has the worst arm ever (but everyone says he has a good arm). And he holds the records for the most strikeouts in a season.

Just dump the guy. At some point you have to cut your losses. He is so bad.

The Kaufman Rule

Wow. Brilliant solution. I hope this wrinkle is introduced.

Imagine how much this could have helped Pete Rose's book.

Cueto

Wow, I had no idea that was going on. Shucks. I've never seen him throw and I sure as hell won't miss his next night start. Baseball fans can't expect a rookie pitcher to dominate, but it sure would be nice.

Finally. 4th time is a charm. The Buckeyes ended the season with a win.

King - since you watched the game - who does Cueto remind you of? Who is he similar to?

BRAVO RED LEG

Adam Dunn is a HORRIBLE LEFT FIELDER period. I don't care what kind of power hitter people think he is. I about fell out of my chair at the notion he was the NL player of the week. He got lucky facing some AL pitchers last week and for once didn't strike out doing so. He can't hit for his life in clutch situations, he looks like he's pulling a train running the pads and talk about bad fielding! His real talent in Left field is making sure he's no where near the ball when it lands out there so he doesn't look like he is committing errors. He is completely afraid of going any where near the wall, and in Cincinnati, he plays the wall like its the Green Monster and its anything but. I hope the Reds (who I am forced to watch out of loyalty) do trade his "Big Donkey" ass to some jerk water AL market where he can DH for a year before its apparent to the world he can't hit a sac fly to save his job.

You wrote that last June. It is so freaking true it's painful. I hate that dumb donkey.

We should let Dunn walk. Have every Cincinnatian (and Cinsuburbian) throw in 8 bucks and Dunn is gone. I say we get Barry Bonds. Why the hell not? Aren't Griffey and him boys?

And yes - my friday afternoon is really slow - so slow that I'm reading Red Leg's backlogged letters...... and they're fantastic.

I take some offense to that comment.

Great Article

I was thinking - wow - our ghost 'burbs are going to be something to behold.

We used to sell things, now we sell debt. And not a damn thing is going to change while we endure this tortuous election.

Update

Good article.

There is a point to be made about the decline of print media, but this guy didn't make it.

It's always sad when some venerable old-media character gets all pissy about the net. (See Lee Seigel or whatever his name is from NPR). I want to think they're above it, but they're not. Their flailing brings em down to size.

Keep riding the edge of the wave King, we appreciate it.

so, what's the difference?

I'll call it the "2 inches of computer screen which displays King's words, flanked by thousands upon thousands of advertisements which will inevitably roll over the writing so I can't read anything."

and...

methinks this was a clever way of King making his life easier.

Can't fill a column?? Just post a paragraph or two. Go find those cookies, write another few sentences, boom, it's up.

Getting close to 5?? Whatever, here's what I got, deal with it.

Remind me to invite Leighton over when "Baby Mama" comes out on DVD.

Deal. As long as you remind me to invite Leighton over whenever I see her.

go gently into that good night, Hillary.

Every network tv station in the country just interupted regular programs to announce Obama in NCarolina.

Will Hillary bow out for the sake of the party??

Hmmmmmm, methinks she won't.

I've been predicting a Hillary derailment for some time - I offer another: John McCain will take the oath to be the 44th President of the US.

Third party formed for midterm elections. Democrats marginalized. America lurches into the future. Divided. Pointing fingers. Feeling victimized. (Fyi, we did it to ourselves with out standard of living.)

problem.

Pitchers have been neutered. Hitters get armoured up and they're comfortable knowing that guys aren't coming inside again and again.

If this were 1950, Sexson would be sent to the mental hospital for evaluation. That pitch was nowhere near him.
