" The Medicated Child"

was infinitely sad. I immediatly called my old college roommate who I witnessed spiral into bipolar disorder.

I can away from the show with a few conclusions.

1.) Pediatricians are just guessing when they diagnose phychological disorders.

2.) Pediatricians are just guessing when they prescribe medications to treat phychological disorders.

3.) There has been an orgy of over-medication for pediatric phychological disorders.

4.) No one knows the long term effects of these medications on development.

4.) I believe many of these problems are a direct result of our current society. When I was growing up, I was spanked, and I'm thankful for it. I was one crazy child. I figured out the boundaries. I figured out my place in my family. Children today do not have boundaries. It is illegal to spank you child in some states, yet we can't figure out why kids are out of control. Parents work longer hours and under more stress than generations ago. And our society values the quick fix above anything else. Instead of patience and caring, it's "swallow this and shut up." Parents need more of a backbone these days.

Obviously some kids need some medications, but 8 drugs a day for a 11 year old is insane and harmful.

Selfish

I like that we give the players December off. They've been hitting it hard since spring-ball, and all you whiners want 3 or 4 more games.

Anything is better than the BCS? Yeah, right. Remember how it used to be? You cannot believe 1994 was better.

I'm up for it when we PAY the players for their services. Until then, zip it.

Robert

The majority of my life the Buckeyes were not a premier team. 1998 was the best I had. Then the Bucks entered a golden age. I don't expect the Bucks to be in the top 3 every year, that's just how it's worked out recently. I wouldn't mind it too much if we pulled a Miami or a Notre Dame (college football is cyclical, mind you). I just think it is highly selfish to demand that kids play (and make their schools so much money) without giving them cash. My proposal is 10k per playoff game per player. Until then, zip it.

Mike Doss has talked about this. So has Damien Moore.

Mayhem shouting at you

Sharp, fun read. (And the advertisers let me only read the first third) despite that, - wow.

We love the wire, but we hate violence in white areas.....

By chance did you read the latest Chrisopher Hitchens article?

CHRISTOPHER HITCHENS

examines Hillary Clinton. His article is quite revealing as well. I hope you read it.

quoting King and Woodie:

Woodie: Workers rights exist to aid underprivileged, overworked, underpaid laborers.

Izzat right? I thought they existed to aid ... workers

They exist to aid all workers, but they were created to aid overworked and underpaid laborers. Call me a strictSteroids are played out. I feel so stupid that I always assumed (always is 1988-2001) baseball was testing the players. That seemed logical. constructionist and I'll call you a textualist.

Great use of 'izzat' - never seenat.

FUTILITY - fyü-'ti-le-tē - noun - pl. futilities.

Boo

The incident in question lasted about 1.5 seconds. The guys in the stands were staring at the big-screen, mainly to see if the most pubescent girl would be hot or not. Then they get to the girl and she was wearing their rival's jersey. Quick boo. No big deal.

The Patriots were caught cheating during the first game of the year. If something like that happens in the NCAA - that team won't be doing any march dancing or january bowling for a bit. Just something to think about. I see some similarities between Bond's 756th and the Pats 18-0.

most likely in the minority here

Lets say you work for Apple Computers. They pay your bills. It's probably not a good idea to speak freely about how much you prefer PCs. I'm hoping you can figure out why that's not too bright.

Majerus has a good enough resume to get interviews elsewhere.
