Salon can start by stopping in-house racism

Until Salon fires Rebecca Traister for calling Obama supporters "boys", or at least publishes her apology for so doing, you have no business talking about what needs to be done to overcome racism.

This issue isn't going away.

Original article: Hillary is back

So, only Democratic female candidates count, right?

Or is this an admission that Republicans are far ahead of Democrats in promoting diversity in their party?

@Rosenkavalier

Do you have any actual evidence that Traister's reference was to "fanboys" -- a word that appears nowhere in her article -- rather than to calling Obama's supporters "boys"?

Of course you don't. You throw around a lot of pejoratives, but you have nothing to back your mouth.

Salon should apologize for the Tracist's hit-piece or fire her.

@TRenee

There should be as much outrage when a woman is raped as when a black or gay man is beaten on the streets.

Only if you think a woman's vagina is as important as her head.

It's called a graceful exit

Something Salonistas will never understand, along with decency, fairness and reason.

Never mind that, though. Expend your political capital by calling for show trials. When you lose, you'll be out of favors, and that's a good thing.

Monday, January 19, 2009 07:35 PM

Puttin' the "dork" in Dvorkin

Boldface doesn't make you smarter. It merely highlights the weakness of your actual argument.

Go ahead -- spend that political capital! Do it! Don't let fear and common sense stand in your way!

Original article: I'm losing it in public

Yeah, denounce the LW for complaining and being a reprehensible jerk...

...meanwhile, dear Salonistas, you are displaying the exact same type of behavior, and with far less provocation.

That makes perfect sense.

Original article: I'm losing it in public

@Godmonkey

I pointed the same thing out, but most Salonistas are the smuggest, most self-involved jerks I've ever seen.

No, the LW won't permanently harm his children.

No, he's not ruining the world.

No, it doesn't make sense to rant at someone for being a ranter.

No, Salonistas, you are part of the problem, not part of the solution.

@Jameka

The rules WERE CHANGED to keep her from going all the way.

Ha. I doubt she's gone "all the way" in some considerable time.

Not with Bill, anyway.

In other words...

...when the drive-by, tanning-bed media dare to question any aspect of The One's administration, they must be chided. They are off message! They're spoiling the narrative!

While it's nice that the mainstream media occasionally remember their job as watchdogs and skeptics, it's a pity that they are likely to fall asleep for the next four years, except for fitful grumbles here and there.

Luckily, alternative media exist to force the issue. Salon isn't one of them, since they are the fully-funded lapdogs of the lunatic left, but you lack the stranglehold you once had on the national dialogue.

Have fun fighting for suppression of the truth, Joan. It suits you.

Monday, February 2, 2009 10:57 AM

And what was Salon's prescription after 2004?

Oh, that's right -- they urged Democrats to become more liberal!

Somehow I doubt that many Republicans will bother listening to Salon's tips about what they should do. That's like hiring the firm of Fox and Wolfe to guard your henhouse...if foxes and wolves were much dumber than they are.

Salonistas are often shocked that anyone has the temerity to disagree with them. How vapid of you.

Original article: Sex with the Obamas

Keep circling the drain, TCF...

Salon continues its reputation as a journalistic slum. Seriously, have you heard of any writer on Salon who went on to better things, unless it was on the strength of a previously established reputation?

Joan Walsh? She can't even get taken seriously as a talking head; Christopher Hitchens choke-slammed her without even trying.

Cary Tennis? The Amazon ranking on his book suggests that the wages of sin are not what they used to be. Maddox and Tucker Max sell far more books than Cary does, for crying out loud.

Tracy, you might want to learn how to write real stories. When the sugar daddies who are keeping Salon afloat run out of patience or money, your resume should not list articles like this...and sadly, articles like this are pretty much all you write for Salon.

@Sourceress

It's offensive enough when people publicly fantasize about the great sex lives of other people. Publicly fantasizing about the lousy sex lives of other people? Offensive and mean-spirited.

Stop being a piece of human garbage. Learn where to draw the line.

Original article: Party on, GOP

It's the economy, stupid

It's only been eight years since Bill Clinton left office, and you idiots have grown so resentful that you'd rather play partisan politics than worry about what your stupid debt bill will do to the economy.

Popular support for the bill is lacking because it's a bad idea. No amount of politicking by Obama will change that.

If you want to get behind this ragbag of a bill, go right ahead. You'll be paying for it in two years. Ironically, your attempt to play partisan politics will doom your party.

There can be only one adequate reason

I did it for the lulz!

"'I Did It For The Lulz' (IDIFTL) is a catchphrase which serves as a catch-all explanation for any trolling you do or any internet drama you cause. If you are experiencing troll's remorse, saying 'I did it for the lulz' three times out loud should clear your conscience, therefore cleansing your soul in all circumstances... no matter for all those dead Sudanese."

More garbage from the Tracist

Rebecca Traister has no business writing about oppression or harassment until she apologizes for her sexist, racist characterization of the President's supporters as "Obama boys":

http://www.salon.com/mwt/feature/2008/04/14/obama_supporters/

Salon should either publish her apology or stop running her garbage.

This issue isn't going away.

Monday, March 30, 2009 09:30 AM

Funny thing about this discussion...

...the people enabling the LW would never do so if she were a man cheating on a woman, and the people criticizing the LW are overwhelmingly citing examples of men behaving badly as they chastise her.

Salonistas are anti-male sexist human garbage.

Monday, March 30, 2009 09:43 AM

Right. God forbid anyone should blame a MOTHER.

And by all means let's focus on anorexia and not gross obesity, which is a far more common problem in American women.

Are mothers to blame when their daughters eat like pigs, Kate?
